Saw Aquaman last night 1/26 with my 3 kids and husband. Everything was great, except theater 10 where the movie was playing, was the stinkiest theater I've ever been to. Smelled like dirty kitty litter, gave me a horrible migraine. Try not to get that theater if u go to maya. read more

Hidden gem in Pittsburg. 100% remodeled. Great prices and good food. Plenty of space Between seats and they recline. All leather and feels clean. They keep the place really clean. We drive all the way there. On Mother's Day they gave free popcorn to all mothers nice touch. read more

I absolutely LOVE this movie theater. We take our kids all the time. They love it. It's always clean, the popcorn and frozen bananas are amazing , not to mention the awesome soda machine. Prices aren't too bad & we love the reclining seats. We also just had a bday party there for our 6 year old and WE LOVED IT. They don't have a party room but they block off an area for you and it works really well if not better than having a room. I highly recommend this theater!! read more

This was my first time coming to Maya in years! The seats are made of pleather (could it possibly be leather? They were pretty cushy but I dislike that it's actually pleather because as we were watching the movie, I kept shifting in my seat and the back of my legs were sticking. It was so uncomfortable. I also don't like how they recline too much. It was a large theater, which is nice. They really don't have any special pricing deals like Deer Valley AMC. I mean...it's a good theater but I prefer Deer Valley. read more

I came to this theater to see unfriended for my girlfriend and my one year anniversary and we got to the movie and got settled down. So after a couple of minutes of previews the movie had started and an usher came and carded us both. The problem is that we are both of age and had our tickets, so all of that stuff they did was pointless. Plus we missed the beginning of the movie which was the main part that ties everything together. So we kept on watching the already upset that our anniversary date was rudely interrupted by the staff then a family with a bunch of young children came in midway through the movie and began to let there children play and climb everything and use outside voices while the movie was going. Where was the usher when this happens? Never coming here again. Way to ruin my one year anniversary. read more

Not the best, but not the worst. The place is pretty clean and never truly crowded. The customer service is hit or miss especially at the concession stand. I come here to watch movies that I don't care to see in IMAX since I have Moviepass. It's a small theatre that still has that old school type of feel, but I still prefer the bigger theaters with the recliner seats. Overall, this place is a decent alternative if the movie you're trying to see is sold out in Concord or the surrounding area. read more

Everything was good except for the fact that my brother noticed a rat crawling around the stairs. I was kinda paranoid that it was gonna come near us the whole time I was watching the movie. Sitting in theatre 2 lights on waiting for previews to start and BOOM a rat!! Yes a rat! Leave to go ask the work Alex for refund and she says she can give me a rain check to see another movie! We had a 10 year old birthday party here and I can't rave enough about the 1st class treatment we received! Taylor, as manager, had the area decorated and it was above my expectations. The theatre was clean and the popcorn was hot! My group had an area reserved for seating. Everyone in our party including parents had a great time. I've been to many theaters but this has to be the coolest movie theater that I've ever been too. As you walk into the movie theater right away its super clean, and a super friendly environment. The coolest thing about this movie theater are the cool hi tech soda machines! You'll have to check it out it will literally blow your mind. The prices are really good I believe a matinee is about $ 7.00 dollars and, $10.00 dollars after the matinee hours. I love the seats there nice a comfortable . This movie theater is real slick, I would highly recommend this theater if you want a really good movie experience. read more

It is with trepidation that we stuffed our grande middle aged assets into the big car and ventured out in the mid-day heat to see the "Grandmaster" at the nearest movie theater we could find. Maya Cinemas is a tremendous improvement over Brenden. The seats which previously felt like medieval torture chairs ( that which we were afraid of- both of us having old athletic injuries) have been changed to LARGE, COMFORTABLE, and oh joy of joys - RECLINING one's. Watching movies at the Maya Cinema did not hurt either me or my hubby one bit! The sound and projection equipment have obviously been updated as well. It is a little gem now(well, not so little). Also,the staff is nice and the movie selection is great! Will definitely be back again. Note the 2.00 hot dog and 5.50 family specials on Tuesdays, as well as futuristic looking soda machines. read more

Today I went to Maya to see the newest Star Wars movie. We had tickets through Fandango for the 9:45 am showing. I love Maya and go there frequently. However, today Dec. 20,2015 I did NOT have a good experience. The woman at the ticket window was so rude. I have never experienced this at Maya Cinema. I think if she could have thrown my tickets at me, she would have. She has no business working with the public. There was no reason for her poor treatment of her customers. There was only one person in front of me and one behind me. No line at all. None of us were creating a problem, yet she was rude and impatient with each of us. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed. read more

The fiancé and I were extremely impressed with the new theater. Average prices for tickets and snacks. The seats and arm rests were in credibly comfortable. Btw I am 6'4 and 300#. Stadium seating is usually a problem for me. But when I saw the massive amount of leg room and added the reclining seats, you should can't go wrong. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars, is the soda fountain, and butter are all serve yourself, and there is no icee machine! Overall though, this is definitely our new regular theater. I love love love this theater. I was not a fan of Brenden Theater that previously occupied this location. The remodel was done right. The seats are comfortable, there's leg room between the rows, both are a must since you're going to be sitting for more than an hour. Very nice remodel. Comfy seats. The employees are great. The sound system is fantastic. But don't go on Friday night or in fact during the weekend at all. The rude crowd of young people is an issue. They sit and talk during the film, laugh & act like they are at a party. I did notice security but they were lax. My family & I would prefer to go during the week, we enjoy the quiet and ability to relax & enjoy the movie. Then on to dinner some where. We like to support business in town so we won't stop going to the Maya. read more

Why pay full price for a movie when family night is Tuesday and admission is $5.50 :) This excludes Universal pictures, but I make do. :) Boyfriend and I are huge fans of their soda machine, technology at its best, and we loved ordering a large soda which came with a souvenir cup from a feature movie that was being shown, however, they stopped doing that for some reason. If there's anyway to bring that souvenir cup back, please do! :) Seats got refurbished, or are new, which is nice compared to the old squeaky chairs Brenden used to have. Armed security walks around, which makes me feel a little safer, since it is in the bad neck of Antioch =/. Definitely enjoy my weekly visits here at Maya. :) read more

Compared to Brenden, Maya is ten times better. Clean place, friendly staff, and not too crowded. Went to go watch a movie on $5 dollar Tuesday, and surprisingly, the movie I watched wasn't super full. My only complaint is that I had to pay $5.50 for the ticket when it was advertised at $5. But hey, who can beat that? I'd rather pay that extra 50 cents than to watch an $11 movie elsewhere. read more
