Great theatre, comfortable seats, clean, great sound and picture quality. I notice that they had the side channel speakers exposed on stands, which is great because no external covers were blocking their sound, giving you the best quality. The seats were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room between rows. Clean, less expensive than Brentwood's AMC, short lines, all the hit movies. I love the soda machines, where you can refill your cup (no matter the size) as many times as you want for free. I also like that you add as much butter as you want (melted butter is self-serve). read more

We have been waiting months for this newly remodeled theater to open, and found out almost by accident that they had a 'Grand Opening' last week - we drive by every day and couldn't tell! We went the day after (Saturday). The remodel is great (no more going upstairs to visit the restrooms), new stadium rocker seats, and lovely big curved screens. We haven't been to the iMax side but look forward to it. My only suggestion to them would be to do a little advertising :-) read more

I don't understand why this place has such a high rating...here's my review: 1. It utterly SMELLS inside the auditorium. Every time I breathed it as if this primer paint was nearby literally suffocating me 2. On the signs for each auditorium, it takes almost 15 seconds to flash from "Welcome" to "2-Rise of the Guardians-12:30 p.m." (or whatever film and time). This does not bother me as much even though every second can count in getting inside on time before the lights dim 3. The auditoriums are numbered as well on the side in this red and yellow shading. The way it's set up, it's hard (at least for me) to see the numbers. 4. The movie I saw today was in auditorium 13. The gentleman tells me "last one on the right". So I proceed all the way down to the end and realized a little too late they were still constructing on additional auditoriums. They can't rope off that back portion so nobody goes there? It may (albeit slightly) cause an accident if someone's looking around for a theater and inadvertently trips over a cord or ladder, etc. It gets an additional star for the comfortable seats. Very happy with this theater, it's always clean the chairs are never sticky and the floor is never covered in popcorn when I walk in. The service is normal I've never experienced a rude employee. I just wish prices for candy weren't expensive. I mean 5 bucks for a box of candy I can buy somewhere else for a dollar? read more

This is a much improved movie theater. It is a bit strange to see Armed officers, but with all this shit going on at movies I feel much better. I actually talked to the lady officer there..she was very professional but actually held a good conversation explaining to me while they are there. Seats are great - leather and recline like a dream =) Theaters are just ok. The walls seem flimsy and you can hear the movie next door Concession stand is pretty good. They have a lot of options and the self serve drink machine and butter is nice. The only reason to take a star off is the customer service. Definitely something to be desired... They really turning the corner around. The theater is so much nicer after the remodel. In this area, it's the only theater where I feel safer. During matinee, he prices are cheap. They also offer movies that are catered towards people and children who have special needs hat require movies to be quieter and with more lighting. I will say though that most of their bathrooms smell like shit. It's awful, and I wish they would do something about it. read more

Overall really good experience here only thing that was a bummer and not that huge of a deal was you have to butter your own popcorn and since I like butter in the middle and on top I had to walk to the concession stand with my bucket filled halfway put butter on it and then take it back to the counter to have the rest of the bucket filled up to only re butter it read more

So disappointing. We are frequent movie goers and last night family of 4 tried Maya. Live in Brentwood but thought we would give it a shot. I don't know if I will ever go back. I'm an evocative about not sneaking food in? We pay for the high prices food to support the theater. The menu screens were broken so hard to know even what they had and when u asked the young man behind the character he could have cared less. After $62 of food for my family both sides out of mustard and ketchup for burgers BOTH SIDES when I mentioned to girl "do you have packets or more" she tells me they are hard to change and will take a while sorry and went back to help someone else! I wouldn't have spent all that money on dry burgers and pretzels. So disappointing!!!!! Seats were incredible staff needs major work! The gentleman in hallway after movie (skinny tall and glasses) stopped us to ask if we enjoyed our movie and had a quick Winchester chat so he was kind and the kids working need some training from employees like him. read more

I've seen six movies there and the projection and sound are perfect. Friendly staff, good new chairs, nice open lobby, lots of handicap nearby parking for my parents, earphones for the hard of hearing. Even the popcorn seems more tasty and fresh than other theaters. Ended up at this theater when our movie was sold out at the Pleasant Hill & MArtinez theater. So glad to see the new updates! We've been here one other time since then. Maya is the theater me and my wife go to all the time since we live in Pittsburg. We like to support the local businesses (E.J. Phairs, New Mecca Cafe, etc...) as well as Maya. The theaters are spacious, cool, and updated. It really has been on the upswing since it was renovated and taken over by new management. read more

Theater is much improved over what it was a few years ago..unfortunately the clientele is the same, however, if you go the the morning showings the criminal element is still at home so you can a watch a movie without loud rude people. Don't patronize. This used to be where I would go see all my movies up until tonight. We were just sitting there in theatre #13 watching a movie and saw rats running around. That is so nasty and unsanitary. I go here all the time to watch movies and have never experienced this but now never again!!! Makes me wonder if the food is contaminated too. When told by management what happened they at 1st offered me passes to come back another day. Absolutely not I want my money back. I went to go watch a movie the other day and felt so unsafe! Even though they had a security guard that made no difference. There was some shady stuff going down! I was with my 10yr old. I will definitely drive the extra miles just to make sure we are not in the midst of a random fight! A fight broke out and an older lady had to prevent another fight from happening. There is so much I love about the theatre. It's very safe and clean. It seems much better managed than the old Brendon Theatre. My only hang up is there inability to update their movie times on the various movie apps. I went down there to see a movie on 2 separate occasions, the first time the show time wasn't accurate, the second time the movie was in Spanish (sorry, no hoble).
