After waiting ages to get to Maya's, I finally made it this weekend and these guys exceeded expectations in every way. We had the pistachio latte, taro milk tea, Dubai chocolate croissant and almond croissant. I would get every one again. We had cow's milk in the pistachio latte and oat milk in the taro milk tea and I recommend both combos. The space is bright and welcoming. The only confusing part is identifying the entrance which had both us and another party confused. The business itself is well signed (near Ellie's as a landmark) but just the door was hard to identify! I am so glad I stopped in to Maya Gourmet. As soon as you walked in, it smelled amazing. The cafe is in the corner of the plaza with plenty of parking. The inside is decorated cute with tables for enjoying your food and drink inside. The staff were all so kind and helpful. I ordered a hot pistachio latte because so many people have been talking about in other reviews! It had real pistachios which made it taste so good. I ordered my husband the Dutch cold brew. One of the staff gave me the run down on how it's made with the glass contraption behind the counter. Epic! It tasted so strong and my husband loved it! He mentioned in the future making this cold brew with Ethiopian beans which I look forward to trying. I had to try the Dubai chocolate croissant and it was heaven and massive enough to share. I also had to try the cronut (croissant donut) just based on looks. It tasted just as good! When we were leaving they offered each of my kids a cookie. It was such a kind gesture. I found this place while on a drive and so glad I did. My husband and I met one of the owners and he was super friendly. He took the time to explain how they brew the coffee and the different ways its sourced. The menu is pretty extensive with some unique coffee and lemonade options. We ordered an iced brown sugar latte and wild berry lemonade- we were a little worried they might be sweet but were pleasantly surprised that the flavors balanced and were refreshing while not being overtly sweet. The coffee especially had a hint of fall notes and it was lovely to experience during the warmer weather. We also ordered a chocolate cronut. We haven't had a cronut since the original craze died down so we were a little skeptical but decided to give it a go. The chocolate was decadent but again not overtly sweet making it a perfect complement to our drinks. The cronut itself was also very flakey and light. Tried it for the first time today and it did not disappoint. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the husband and wife team behind the counter, with bright smiles, within minutes of opening. The husband is the mastermind behind the gourmet coffees, hand roasting beans from around the world. The wife, the baking wizard, popping out the yummy pastries. We ordered the smoked salmon croissant and bacon egg and cheese with avocado breakfast sandwiches. Hubs got a strawberry banana smoothie, and I got the caramel macchiatto latte. We had nothing but raving reviews about all of it. Best Coffee and pastries in the Merrimack Valley. First, you cannot find nicer people than the owners! They will bend over backwards to help you. The sandwiches were delicious on delightfully flaky croissants. Simple yet excellent. We got a coffee. Here's the problem - there are a lot of choices for coffees that needed explaining! And they were happy to do so. They roast their coffees in house and they are delicious. Ummmmm you are totally missing out if you don't visit this adorable cafe. The Dubai chocolate croissant is an absolute delight. A crispy buttery croissant piped with fresh whipped cream topped with a delicious chocolate ganache and sprinkled with crispy deliciousness. This is an unassuming gem located in a strip mall. The place is bright, clean and inviting. I ordered a spinach and feta croissant ( breakfast in the morning) , 4 pieces of baklava and got an Ashta. The baklava is probably the best I've ever had. It's buttery, flavorful, fresh and just is amazing. The Ashta was a first for me. It's served parfait style with pistachio, honey fruit and I believe either ricotta or clotted cream. It's delicious. They also offer various drinks such as smoothies, iced coffees etc. I got an iced mocha which was really good. It's worth a drive if youre not in the Methuen area. The other pastries they offered looked incredible: panna cota, a mousse cake, and other cookies. I can't wait to go back and try sometbing else. read more

I stumbled across Maya Gourmet recently, and I'm glad I did! When I arrived, I was greeted by Maya herself sitting behind a counter of delectable pastries. I debated purchasing a smoothie and a pastry, but Maya mentioned she served a Lebanese dessert called Ashta with fruit. It included layers of fresh fruit -- banana, kiwi, strawberry, blackberry -- separated by fresh ricotta and accented by sprinkles of pistachio and drizzles of honey. SO. DELICIOUS. I can't recall the last time I had something so tasty that was also pretty healthy/I could feel good about eating...and the dessert was gorgeous to boot! I wish I had taken a picture, but by the time I thought of it I'd already eaten half the dish!
