Happy hour menu
Celeste G.

I enjoyed the happy hour menu. I do love olives so it was a win for me. We never tried the tacos before. I didn't care for these fish tacos. Next time I will try the others besides fish. Always love the staff super friendly.

I came here passing by, "Cholos" and didn't get to spend much time drinking the wine as when I arrived they were closing. Despite the time, we were able to get a seat and get a drink. Felt bad because whoever was working was the only one and she was running back and forth. I'd say if she weren't closing that it's a great place to have a wine and maybe get some quick bites. When we got the check, the book she used to provide the check was entertaining.

Come for happy hour! The small tapas are the perfect size! We split the dinner scallops, tapas paella, and tapas fried chicken. The food comes out pretty fast for the amazing quality that it is. Aiden was an excellent server and the atmosphere is calm & chill- perfect after a hot beach day. Reasonable prices have made this place a new favorite!

Maya's is a nice little local wine & pupu establishment . Their "happy hour" menu is great but the portions are very small, so you need to order a few to share. I have enjoyed everything I've order and the burger is amazing! When seated outside, you're facing a fairly busy parking lot. But it's not a huge bother or distraction. The only downfall lately has been the service. Lack of attentiveness, no water refills, no mention of any desserts, etc.

Decided to get away from the chaos at Waikīkī and drive north to Haleiwa to grab some lunch. We stumbled upon the north shore marketplace and noticed this cute restaurant tucked away in a corner. As soon as we walked over, we were greeted by the hostess/server and were immediately seated. I ordered the coconut lemonade and veggie sandwich(minus the goat cheese) with garlic shoestring fries. My husband ordered the fresh catch of the day sandwich with salad & their house white wine. Everything tasted divine and so fresh! The combination of their overall kindness and great quality food makes this an exceptional place to come to. Next time I'm back in Haleiwa I will definitely come back to support this wonderful little restaurant.

We decided to give this place a try for lunch. My friend had never been & im visiting so we went for it. We decided to order 2 different things so we could try both. Gyro - good flavor. Not greasy. Nothing to rave about BUT if you order this you won't be upset. I'd have it again. Classic Cheeseburger- great flavor. I really liked the bun. It was really soft and tasty. I think you'd be happy to order this. Fries are garlic fries but not dripping in garlic. It was a nice flavor and I felt like I could talk to people after! Parking - easy it's a big parking lot. Price - medium price. I'm on vacation so I expect to spend a certain amount on food. Service - our server was just lovely. She may have been an owner I didn't ask. But she answered all our questions & check on us enough that we didn't want for anything - but not so much that we felt invaded. I recommend this for a lovely lunch on the deck. 3.5 stars rounded to 4

Bone marrow was perfect cooked & the topping was tasty

Ambiance was cozy & service was excellent but the happy hour doesn't match with their website and their actual happy hour menu doesn't offer to many choices and the serving size is very small & so we ordered off their regular menu and $120 later we were still hungry. Their fall beer was interesting that it tasted like pumpkin pie rim with beer on tap. I am not sure if the 1.5 hr drive was worth it for us but we will definitely try other neighboring restaurants (Cholo's)

Had an enjoyable evening out here with good food and good wine. Reservation-making was super easy online early in the week for 7pm on a Friday. They called to confirm that afternoon. We arrived a little early, but the table wasn't quite ready to turn so we browsed the art shop next door while we waited. We were seated and ordered a cocktail. They seem to be short on menus, so we had to share, but that wasn't an issue. We ordered lobster macaroni to start, i picked a couple tapas dishes and my dining partner chose an entree plate. They asked if they could just bring things out as they were ready and we had no problem with that. My Brussels sprouts came out first and they were the star of the evening. A little salty but absolutely delicious. The lobster macaroni had huge chunks of lobster. The night's special paella was available in two sizes. The saffron flavor really came through. I didn't love the clam but the mussel and shrimp were good. They have an interesting wine list with varieties and source regions not seen in many local restaurants. I opted for a Lebanese wine, which I'd never had before. It was a blend of mostly cabernet sauvignon, which is not my favorite, but it nicely stood up to the earthiness of my meal. Dessert was okay - they have two creme brulee options, which I ordinarily go for, but the banana empanadas just called my name. They (and the cheesecake) were good, but nothing I would crave again for next time. Heaps of free parking in the lot. Friendly service. Highly recommended!

Roasted Cauliflower

I hesitated long before giving three stars. I decided to come here after seeing the reviews for the happy hour. It seemed like a great way to try a bunch of items in the true nature of tapas. We ordered two items from the happy hour menu, the papas "fries" and the roasted cauliflower. We were going to order all the items, but I'm so glad we waited until one of the dishes arrived. I could not hide my shock. The papas "fries" came out and it was the most embarrassing thing I've seen served in a long time. The plate is tiny. Think tea cup plate. It was such a disappointment. I genuinely would be embarrassed to serve that, especially at the ripe price of $10. The cauliflower was really good, but again... I think we got two cauliflower pieces in total. This was also $10 dollars. I really wanted a comparison, so I ordered the papas bravas from the main menu. It was like ordering from a whole different restaurant. For $6 more dollars you get a much larger portion, actual goat cheese, chorizo, and cubed potatoes. The taste difference was also night and day. Happy hour menu feels like they're mad at you for even ordering off of it. I would have rather paid the extra for both of the larger portions than to pay more than half of the price for 1/3 of the food. This makes no sense. Just take the happy hour off. It is a genuine rip off and it gives this place a very bad look. All in all, I came excited and hungry. I left dissatisfied and still hungry.

Cozy cafe vibe found right in the market place. Came on a Thursday after the lunch rush so not overly crowded. Espresso martinis and food came fast. My friend was very happy lobster roll did not have celery lol and my fish tacos were nice and crispy.

Always my favorite place to eat on North Shore. The food is excellent. Cocktails are fantastic! Great vibes!

Their take on loco moco is quite different from the typical plate lunch. The sauce is not the gravy kind, instead it's like a thicken sweet cornstarch slurry sauce. Similar to the Chinese sweet and sour sauce, but it's not sour. Second, the hamburger patty style is super soft and juicey. The style is more like the Japanese Hambagu. This was one of my favorite dish that I always get. The cream croquette was yummy dummy delicious. Crunchy and creamy in each bite. The chicken yakitori was tender and umami. Love sprinkling with the red pepper to add a nice kick. It can be a bit of a wait for the food to come out. As for parking, they have a two hour validation at the Hyatt Centric Waikīkī. I recommend placing a reservation as sometimes the wait can be a bit long during busy hours.

We were set and went on foot, lucky we started early as the streets of Waikiki was getting full of tourists & locals alike. Mid early evening. We missed it as we passed by it cause it was literally a hole in the wall - located on the side and the back area of a building. We were surprised how dainty and uniquely when we walked in. You'll know when you go and check it out yourselves and by the photos shared on SM. It felt so homey and authentic especially the decor. I know our boiz would enjoy it. Back to the food, wow! Had the lotus root and tofu salad. Squid grilled eye sockets, grilled teriyaki salmon with picked garlic and the grilled (huge portion) hamachi Kama!! Pineapple and a Coke Zero for drinks. Service was substantial great! We'll be back to try the rest and bring along some fam to enjoy too. Arigato!!!

First, the parking was big enough for our company truck and it is free! Second, the beers is probably the most affordable on this island, even when it's not "Happy Hour"! This is a very happy place, cozy and the TVs were located in the right place. Sit at the bar or the tables, you'll get great service. The oyster shooters is on another level! Our waitress (I think her name was Teisha, I'm so sorry if that is not correct)- but she was AMAZING. So friendly and sweet and ensured that we were always taken care of. The food? AMAZING. Everything we ordered was delicious. I didn't get a pic of the Spicy Ahi Katsu or the Bacon Garlic Fried Rice- obvi I was too excited to get a bite of each to remember to take a pic. Our bellies were so full but I'll definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes! Their oyster shooters are also really good! We tried both the regular ones with quail eggs and the opihi one. We had the idea to combine both but it was kind of a lot to eat in one bite haha. But definitely recommend either! They have limu in it which I think adds a nice crunch and flavor to it overall. Oyster shooters are my absolute fav so I'm very pleased to find another location that makes great ones! They also have a karaoke room there!

My friend ordered the cilantro lime chicken tacos, which are her go-to, so my expectations were definitely set high. While I wouldn't say they were life-changing, they were still a solid 7/10 and definitely worth trying, especially if you enjoy fresh, bright flavors. I went with the chicken Caesar salad, which was fresh, satisfying, and exactly what I was craving. To drink, I ordered the espresso martini, and it was a great choice. My friend also ordered a beautiful lilac-colored cocktail with a slightly tart, refreshing finish. I wish I could remember the name, but if you describe it to the bartender, they'll most likely be able to tell you exactly which one it was. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Seating is primarily at the bar, with only a handful of tables available, so they can fill up quickly. Everything is first come, first served, as they don't take reservations. Parking is at Ala Moana Center, so availability really depends on the day and time you visit. There are plenty of stalls throughout the mall, though you may have a bit of a walk to Nordstrom depending on where you park. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit and can definitely see myself coming back. It's easy to walk right past while shopping, but it's well worth making the time to stop in for a bite or a drink, or both!
