Ahi Tuna
Joe R.

My wife and I traveled to Hawaii for our honeymoon. This is where we ate the first night and boy did we start off with a bang. My wife and I are already fans of Michael Mina, having eaten at several of his other restaurants, one of my favorites being Bourbon Steak in Nashville. Everything here was a wonderful. Great service with delicious food and drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the view of the beach was an amazing way to start our honeymoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the small seafood tower to start. For our meals we both enjoyed a seafood entree. My Ahi was cooked to perfection. Obviously since this is a Michael Mina restaurant it wasn't inexpensive, but I believe the service and quality of food we got was 100% worth it. If we ever find ourselves in Ko Olina again, you can be sure we will be eating here again.

Service from hostesses to servers are all top notch. Ask for the special, vegetarian menu, it's filled with delicious entrees. This is always a great choice for special dinners or occasions.

Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Great service. Food was just ok for us, which, given the price, brought the experience down. My son loved the steak with foie gras, but we also had the duck fat fries, the steak and lobster, the octopus, the pork belly and the fried rice. Everything but the foie gras was good but not great and it was pretty expensive so the expectations were higher.

1st time dining here. Stayed at the tele for PMAH Memorial Day Weekend conference. Hotel was excellent and Mina's Fish House was equally amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - Check[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - Check Food - Check Drinks - Check Deserts - Check Well this restaurant checks all the boxes for me. We tried a variety on the menu: Smoked Marlin dipi w/chips Octopus Peppers Crusted Curry Ahi Night special - swordfish Cocktail drinks - served right. Not watered down and tasted excellent. I'd like to give a shoutout to Mary, our gracious server for the night. Excellent service. Actually beyond 5 stars. My wife read about the furikake Ice cream and wanted to order it but it was actually from another restaurant on the hotel. Nonetheless, Mary went out of way to serve it to us. It was very good BTW. To those who do not know furikake, just give this a try. You'll like it. We'll be back for the steak!!! Thank you for an excellent experience.

Celebrated 3 anniversaries at MFH (1 year, 4 years, and 40 years) and we enjoyed our experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since we were staying in Ko'Olina, we walked over to MFH who accommodated us in our choice of table for our party of 6 ahead of time and had a gorgeous view of palm trees and ocean at sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While I would have chosen the Mina Fish House Experience (prix fixe $125), the experience requires full table participation. Instead, our party opted for à la carte ordering served family-style. Here's what we had: Ono amuse buche House Flatbread Broiled Spanish Octopus Ono Tataki - a favorite served with a vinaigrette truffle sauce Prime Beef Lettuce Cups Charred Broccolini Garlic Duck Fat Fries Kona Kanpachi (whole fish) char-grilled Ahi Katsu Curry NY Strip 14oz (for our non-fish eating friend) Potato and Leek Soup with poached lobster (for our non-fish eating friend) Although the food was A+, we took exception to the NY Strip because it was dry, gristly, and not cooked to order. However, when we brought it up to our server, she without question had it immediately removed and ordered another one. After trying the second one, the meat tasted like it should and the vegetables were even better than the first one. For drinks: Liquid Sunshine Mai Tai Piña Colada Pickleback Paradise - mocktail For the best deal, the Mai Tai is your best bet because it's larger than most drinks, has a good amount of alcohol, and tasty. Liquid Sunshine also had a good amount of alcohol. Our Pickleback Paradise drinker liked his drink so much he ordered two. Surprisingly, the Piña Colada wasn't up to par as it was grainy and not fully mixed. We should have returned it, but didn't. For dessert: Malasadas with ice cream Ube Cheesecake Additionally, each couple received a complimentary piece of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversaries [[HIGHLIGHT]]During our meal, service was attentive and personable and the atmosphere was enhanced by the live music which made for a lovely celebratory dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lobster pot pie served

Stellar experience! Service is amazing and the food is soooo good! We stared with great generous cocktails. The complimentary naan and hummus is so light. We started with the tuna tartare made table side in the classic beef tartare style with raw egg and toast. So fresh! We shared the lobster pot pie for the table. They only make a limited number per night but this is a Michael Mina speciality. A whole lobster with potatoes onions and carrots in a creamy sauce and topped with puff pastry. It is served table side and worth it! The tomato salad was amazing with the best dressing. The Mahi mahi prepared in the spicy light fried manner was so so good. The special shutome fish was prepared with a spiced phyllo crust on a bed of lobster mash potatoes. Think fish and hops elevated! It was amazing and such a huge portion.

Food and drinks were great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibes and environment were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great. But this place is super expensive. Definitely not an everyday type of restaurant. Special occasions or if yoi have a lot of money. Came here only once. Well see if I ever try again.

It was our Christmas Dinner and I enjoy coming here . It was a fast paced night for them and it was busy. We arrived early just to make sure , they called us and then had a little faux pax and then we had to wait some more . Not an issue we ended up with a great table down by the water . Quiet and cozy . It was a little cold , but tis the season. We got the Christmas menu and that's where you pick one item from each area...with up charges for non menu items. It's all good with me , next time I'll go with the regular menu . The Christmas Menu was good , but a little different selections ... I'm happy , but want to explore a little more . The service was good , and the beautiful view... I'm happy- they validate parking complete use the valet.. otherwise it's hard to park if you drive... we usually stay at Disney or the Marriott... not this year though. All booked up in October lol. Will I go back ? Yes . And I will explore the island more ... it was missing something , I can't put my finger on it... I've been traveling a lot lately. Vegas , Bangkok , Saigon , Tokyo. And have had some amazing meals - with 5 star service ...so it's a great place - I'm happy here ... and will be back

How fun is this drink vessel?
K R.

We decided on dinner here on a whim-no reservations at prime dinner time. The bar however had seats available and we were fine sitting at the bar. Our barkeeper JT was out of this world! Busy, but incredibly attentive. I don't drink alcohol, but loved some of the vessels that cocktails come in, so he put my mocktail into the vessel I asked for. The bread and hummus was delicious, my husband had the blackened cod, and I had the ny strip. We also added garlic rice. Thanks to the chef for changing the Brussels sprouts to broccoli for me. The views were still amazing from the bar, and the open concept is truly Hawaiian. A lovely dinner with fantastic service.

We came here for a date night and were seriously blown away by the food and service. We went with the market fish experience, which includes several appetizers (marlin dip, octopus, tomato salad, shishito peppers), of which the stars were the shishito peppers and octopus (some of the best octopus we've had). For mains we had the snapper and the filet, both were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Our server Megan was outstanding - she really deserves a promotion, Her service was so genuinely kind and thorough. She really elevated the experience for us. The ambience was calming and warm, and even though it was raining, we felt it was cozy and comfortable inside. Overall Mina's is a 10/10 - highly recommend!

Lovely view, no?

Came here for a romantical dinner and Mina's didn't disappoint! We were seated at a lovely table with stellar views of the lagoon. We had a fantastic server - attentive without being overbearing. Courses were timed well and we never felt rushed. Each dish was distinctive and so balanced and delicious! We enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons and Mina's delivered!

Alice Z.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing dinner spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect views of the ocean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a kids menu that's pretty good (we had grilled fish, broccolini and pasta and ice cream/brownie). For the adults- we tried a few fish dishes, broccolini, spam fried rice, peppers, and salad. Everything was so delicious.

Nicole Y.

I've been eager to try Mina's Fish House for some time now--it's definitely on my must-visit list! We stopped by for dinner, and note that reservations are highly recommended. We were quickly seated and greeted by our friendly and helpful server. They gave excellent suggestions for dinner and drinks, and after much thought, we enjoyed: - Smoked marlin and Maui onion dip - Mina's lobster pot pie - Chili miso glazed black cod Every dish was utterly delicious! It's hard to pick a favorite since all of them were full of flavor. I'm a fan of Mina's and we will definitely be back soon to try more items from their menu.

Aloha, attire is resort casual. We do require guests to be fully clothed. No bathing suits. However, it is your own preference to dress up or down!

Aloha Jennifer, We do not have a Happy Hour however, we do offer a Pau Hana Special with Champagne & Oysters and a few of our classic cocktails from 4-5pm daily.

Do you still have happy hour?

Aloha Linda, We no longer serve Happy Hour as of August 2023.

They had both indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. Outside they had live music, which was really nice to have during lunch :) Staff were great and sooo helpful. Food and drinks came out quickly and everything was amazing. I took off a star for pricing. We each got a drink and we shared fish and chips and our bill was $100 with tip. We felt that was a bit steep for sharing a meal and having 1 drink each. My friends who live on the Island said that other locations were way cheaper, so it's a bummer this one was more expensive. I'm assuming it's because it's across from Aulani. We noticed that the menu here was more expensive than eating at Aulani, so next time we'll probably just stay at the resort. Either way, food and experience were great but we probably won't return because of the pricing.

The hotel is pretty secluded compared to being right in the city, but if you don't mind a walk, is close to a small shopping center with a few other food places and the hotels next door. The Marriott's other restaurant, Longboard's, is more casual, while this restaurant, Longhi's, is their fancier option for fine dining. With this in mind, this restaurant is, at the end of the day, is just alright. The seating area has the best views, but is slightly packed, although it is truly a beautiful ambiance. It is somewhat in the middle of the hotel, though. However, the service was lacking, if even present, and the food is, as expected, pricey. For some guests, hotels gave them vouchers to redeem at the restaurants near by, and this was one of those restaurants that you could redeem it at. With the voucher, this restaurant is a little bit easier to justify, but without, you are left paying high prices for fine food and a great view. If you are on the resort, then this is also easier to justify, as it is one of the closer options compared to the others. If you're not staying at the Marriott connected to it, then I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to go here. We ordered the crab cakes and the shrimp risotto. The crab cakes were really good, with a few different textures like the crunchies on top! If you like crab or crab cakes, or if you want to try something new, I would suggest that you order this or split it with a friend or partner. The shrimp risotto was fine, but after trying it, I ended up wishing that I ordered something else on the menu. It wasn't that it was bad, it just was okay. I feel like people have certain expectations for a higher end restaurant like this, and it wasn't hard to see why after going, that this restaurant is rated the way it is.

The service is outstanding and we are so happy and blessed to be here! We were able to greet Mickey & Minnie, Goofy and Stitch at breakfast! We enjoyed macadamia nut pancakes with sweet syrup sauce; Mickey waffles and bacon; a farmer's omelet and potatoes - we had huge portions and the price for 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) was really good for all the food, the live music and the character visits over and over to our table! I also note that we didn't not attend the Luau this trip - which costs $200-$300+ per person (at Aulani). We opted to skip because we've been before and figured we would wait some before taking the kids - a little bit older for the best age to really fully enjoy that aspect of the show. You can get all the pictures with your personal camera/phone/device but know that the character breakfast photos by the photo folks with Mickey are not included - they will offer a $45 photo package to include and featured photo in the cardboard decorated photo frame and a photo pass card representing all the photos taken with Mickey as a family and as individuals at the featured photo session with Mickey during the (breakfast) character meal experience. We made our appointment for the first of the day and joined breakfast at 7am. We were first in line and first for the day - we enjoyed that personally because it was a great time with no crowds and we were able to start the day early and get on to having (more) fun! I never have done the character breakfast so this review is purely for their dinner experience. I kinda wish though that they change up the menu more as I recall the menu not changing much each time we visit. The dinner menu is a set 3 course meal where you have to pick an appetizer, main entree, and dessert. The kids have a set 3 course meal to choose from as well. This time I ordered their ahi tuna special, which so happened to be the special over 2 years ago lol! I chose their corn chowder as my appetizer and honestly after the cheesy bread rolls and soup, I was pretty stuffed by the time my entree came. It was still a lot of food, and I only took like 3 bites before o threw in the towel. As for the dessert, I chose the dulce de leche cheesecake, which deviates from the usual Mickey brownie with ice cream that I ordered. I still prefer the brownie now that I've tried both. Ambiance is nice and I actually prefer the outdoor seating because I find the architecture and landscape of the resort so beautiful. Overall a solid Disney dining experience, with large portions all around. Definitely worth trying at least once especially if you're staying at the resort!
