We came here for brunch drinks a few weekends ago and the drinks are top tier. The green lantern was the unanimous favorite at the table as it was the perfect drink for a girls day out. The second favorite was the Pray for Sex ChiChi. Definitely a fun brunch spot before heading to the beach. Service staff were awesome! They had great recommendations and were great to talk to. Will definitely come back!

Located in the heart of the Waianae Coast, across from Green Lanterns beach. Large parking lot, outdoor lanai and banging AC. Full drink menu, pupus and delicious meals for lunch and dinner. Stop by on Tuesday evenings for karaoke. Wednesday for wing deals.

Absolutely perfect end to our day. A quaint dining establishment that's a local favorite became our oasis of chill. It was karaoke night, and most of our party sang without a care in the world. The drinks were very well made, all the entrees were tasty, and service was on point. The evening became a focal point of our visit to west Oahu. Thank you to all the staff who made it a great experience. Cheers!

I was super excited to try this place out do the first time: But, Really disappointed. Wanted to LOVE this place but, the food was not it for my Family & I. We came with a party of 20 for my sister in-laws Birthday. Thankfully the wait was about 15 minutes to get the tables ready for us. The space is beautiful. Upstairs. The service was pretty quick. The only downfall was that two of the easiest dishes which were the loco moco and the Lilikoi chicken, we ordered those & they came out really late. Everyone was basically done eating by the time we got our food :/ The food: Sad to say, but almost everything we ordered was salty. The soup tonight was really salty, the Caesar salad was drowned with caesar sauce. The calamari was good, I just wished it was all calamari. The loco moco, the gravy was really salty. I couldn't even finish it. The lilikoi chicken was basically just bbq chicken & sauce. Not marinated. The prime rib was the best dish tonight. Our other Family got other dishes but they also sad their dishes were just salty. Overall, it was ok. Not the experience I was hoping for. Not sure if I'll be back. :(

I've been here for drag brunch a few times and it's always a good time. There's a drag show going on so slower service isn't really minded. I decided to come here for my Mother's Day dinner. Reservation was for 4pm, they called at 3:30 to confirm our reservation (who confirms a reservation 30 minutes before??) We arrived at 3:50 and stood downstairs because our table wasn't ready. We were sat right next to the stage, like the speaker directly pointing at us, 3 feet away. Pretty sure there was no table, that's why it took 10 minutes to get the table ready...It was so loud, I couldn't have even have an in the ear conversation with my son. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for service. Nobody even came with water, I really think they had no idea we were over there. I saw the manager pointing to our table because she noticed we were just sitting there. Another table that had come in after us was having their order taken while we waited. Finally a server comes over, she takes our order but she was a little confused. I asked about the Mothers Day Specials on the Instagram and she said there weren't any. She was underage so couldn't recommend any of the cocktails, that's ok I remember being an underage server too; but it's always nice to have a recommendation. The manager came over after we put our order in and said she would cover the appetizer and dessert. I do appreciate that because there's some places that will stare you right in the face and not blink an eye about something like that. We got the calamari appetizer, there was more vegetable than calamari on the plate, like they were trying to disguise how much calamari there was by putting it on top, it didn't work. We got the prime rib and lobster tail with loaded mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese and sides. About 15 minutes after the server comes and says they ran out of mashed potatoes so we got another Mac and cheese. The prime rib was really good and so was the lobster tail. The Mac and cheese was ok, I really like my prime rib with some kind of potato . We got the bread pudding and lava cake for dessert. The bread pudding was really good, it came out so hot which is good because it was fresh. When they came to the table with our desserts the server said they were out of silverware and brought a plastic spoon. Honestly by the end of the meal it was kind of funny how unprepared they were. I felt kind of bad for the servers, they really seemed like they were trying their best. They just weren't ready at all for Mother's Day dinner. Maybe they didn't expect so many people to want to want to go, it was a busy day. But there's three sit down type restaurants in Waianae for lunch/dinner, they should have known. On the way out the host apologized because the server was new. Absolutely not! You don't put a brand new server on the floor on Mother's Day and then blame them for them being lost. I really do like their food, they have a good thing going but they still have some kinks to work out.

Adult sized over cooked fish and chips. Now does this even look good or for an adult?

I've tried and tried to come and enjoy Lanterns but each time there are major issues. We walked out last time before our food came because of the multiple layers of issues. My advice on improving doesn't matter, nothing changes so we are just done

Makaha melt with truffle Mac & cheese!

This place is always amazing with their quality of food, drinks, and atmosphere. The service & staff always enjoyable & accommodating with my special orders.

There is a reason this place is rated so high. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. My wife ordered the lanterns burger and I ordered the fish and chips and we both upgraded to the garlic fries which I highly recommend the upgrade. The view even without the sunset was great overlooking the ocean. We split a bacon maple bread pudding very good and I'm not a fan of maple.

The food amazing, the vibes amazing ! I'd recommend the poke nachos it's so yummy and the fish is fresh ! The burger was amazing too especially with the sauce, for my personal preference I'd ask them for a little more sautéed mushroom on my burger next time. The wait for the food was not bad either, and the servers have so much aloha.

I was in Waianae with colleagues and we were looking for a good place for dinner. Lanterns was very close by and had good reviews. We pulled to restaurant and proceeded up the steps to the restaurant. The restaurant definitely gave you this is the neighborhood spot vibes. Friendly bartender and staff. You can't be in HI and not have a Blue Hawaiian so we all had one. It was very tasty. We followed that up with an order of seafood dip, which was fresh and hot. Baguettes were a great addition and made it easy to scoop up crab and dip. At this point, Karaoke has started, and the neighborhood is pour in. What a lively time. I then order Loco moco, medium-rare. They nailed the temp and flavors were spot on. The portion was so generous, I could barely finish it. I will definitely check it out again when I am back in the area.

This most recent visit was much improved from my first. It wasn't a weekend evening either which might be part of the reason. Kaimi's was our bartender and his service was amazing. It wasn't too busy and he was able to serve us with jokes and fun facts. It was a relaxing evening, which I really needed. My drink was so good. The fish n chips is the way to go and I'll definitely order that here again. The homemade tartar sauce was awesome. They did such a great job. I'm glad to be much happier with this visit and now I want to go back again.

A must stop restaurant on the Westside of Oahu. Great food and vibes!

Big shout-out to Britt for the excellent recommendations and service! We were on vacation and looking for a sweet treat. Britt recommended the large cookies and ice cream and we were sold. Lanterns did not disappoint on the dessert or food. We enjoyed our food, attentive service, and ambiance. I'd recommend Lanterns to anyone visiting Oahu!

Prime rib and au jus was flavorful. Awesome combo.

Restaurant address is 86-120 Farrington Hwy, Ste C306, Waianae, HI 96792. Maybe they just changed their restaurant name? I don't know. We decided to try them and see how it is. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) large parking lot. Plenty of parking. 2) lots of other small shops here. I see Long's drugs, Team Mibile, Pizza Hut, etc here, just to name a few. 3) we were the only one there. I see one lady at the cash register. She took our orders. She smiley and nice. 4) we ordered the Special for $18.99. We got chicken katsu cones with rice and 4 sides. We also got the Shrimp Temp Maki for $11.99 + 2 drinks. 5) it's also a mini mart. They have a few other items got sale here too. See pictures. 6) love all the sides I picked. Rice tasted good. Cons 1) I didn't see a bathroom. Maybe I should have asked. 2) shrimp tempura maki roll was not very good. The other person who ate this roll was not very impressed. I tried a piece and it was just ok. I've had better. But we didn't get wasbi and ginger with it. We had to ask for soy sauce. They don't provide it unless you ask. 3) Most of our chicken tempura was over cooked. It was very chewy and hard to eat. There were a few pieces that was not over cooked and still good to eat. We didn't like our plate. But we ate it anyways just because we already paid for it. 4) Conclusion We weren't very impress with this market/restaurant. Foods weren't good. But the cashier lady was nice. Food sides were good. There was only 1 small table and another table that fits 4 people, inside restaurant. They do have a few items for sale. Not going here for food again. But maybe shop for items instead. You may like the foods here better than me/us.

It was fairly empty, and a family was seated, with a couple kids near their table that were running around when we got in, and 2 old guys were at the bar drinking. They sat us immediately at a huge table in the corner, so we had no wait. I ordered the Hawaiian plate and my wife and daughter got some sort of chicken plate that came on skewers. The sauce was great, but make sure you're not wearing anything light-colored (it will stain). The sides of seaweed and kimchi were great as well. It was definitely more "local" style kimchi, but nonetheless, delicious. The Mini Combo was very well-portioned and had a great variety of protein. Every piece was delicious and not too salty.
