In the area, I stopped at this nail salon to get the nail polish fixed on my overlay on one nail. I took their suggestion to match other hand nail. I was happy matte topcoat was available, yet I was surprised with the lack of care and courtesy. In an effort to say less: with polish flaking on the design of the "fixed" nail polish, she applied lotion to my hand and asked for payment. She was appalled when I asked her to redo the nail and forget the design. That wasn't the end but I will end it with that! Live and learn! I've been going g to this nail salon for over 1 year my nails look pretty good . I love get my eye brows done there by the owner fabulous. The last month or so I've been going to first girl on left hand side near front window and I thought I was going nuts but my nails were Crocked or lop sided . This last time one week ago I notice again and she started laughing saying my fingers were Crocked. I looked at her and said lady if you don't stop playing and take this off . She laugh I gave her laugh she out new ones off . I get home look at them again she cut the nails in certain angle all going to left . Horrible work and on top of that it's been one week with this set and 4 nails pop off . I'm done no more my money wasted in this place . Done ! read more

By far the worst experience I had in a nail salon. I went for a pedicure and full set. Pedicure was under 10min and no effort at all. Full set I needed the previous full set I had on removed (typically a soak off) the older lady was RIPPING the acrylic off my nails and I told her multiple time. "Miss This hurts really bad we need to soak them first" she said "no it's easy" and begins to do it again. I said no again she get frustrated grabs my hand and hit my hand twice as if I was a kid and told me to relax! I immediately told the owner what happened(I'm guessing the man that works there) someone else can to finish my nails. At this point I am steaming mad at this lady and she didn't give no apology. Out of the 3 manicures i have gotten here (a full set and then two refills) i was impressed with two out of the three. The reason i am giving a 5 star review is because the nail technicians working there are extremely friendly so I will continue to go back. The prices are VERY reasonable. $10 for a refill! they have an atm with a $1 charge and you can use your credit card for an additional $2 charge so i suggest bringing cash, although the nail service is so cheap you're not really losing any money. read more

This gem was a last minute find and I cannot understand why there's negative reviews. Not only did they take me mins (literally 2 mins) before closing, but they took time and gave me a really good French gel manicure. I originally came in for a basic $8 mani, but decided to upgrade into the $25 gel one because I had a few events coming up. Now mind you my nails are short and horrendous and so out of shape, but they worked with it and I got beautiful nails in the end. I also did my eyebrows and upper lip, and it only came out to be $5 extra. My brows are perfect. I was so happy to find this shop. The staff is wonderful, and very welcoming. Asked for short almond-shaped nails. I got very short pointy nails (shaped more like triangles because she filled way too much). When another customer came in, the lady doing my nails tried to rush me. Had to have someone else do my nails, which did a better job. However, she made my nails way too long. At that point, I just kept it because they couldn't understand what I was asking for. They didn't clean underneath the nail, so it is full of acrylic. Terrible paint job, especially for gel polish. The first lady charged me one price and the second lady charged me more. On top of that, they charged a $2 credit card 'fee' and there were no signs posted about them charging you a 'fee' for using your card. read more

I've been to this place twice and it's your typical Asian corner salon. They care about the almighty dollar however they do a great job on the hands and feet. I didn't like however they push the gel manicures; not everyone coming in wants to pay the extra money for gel. Some people like old fashioned nail polish. read more

Probably one of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had. It's only been a week and my gel manicure is growing out and chipping. My regular pedicure is basically already all chipped off because the woman who did my nails put one coat on. During my experience in the actual salon I could see that the items they were cutting and pulling my cuticles with were not clean or sterilized well. I went there to get my nails done for the first time. They did a good job with the nails but the woman owner is not nice ad seems rather annoyed. I was watching the male (owners husband) do eyebrow waxing and noticed he dipped the same stick into the wax with multiple people. I couldn't believe it! People are getting their upper lips waxed and he used the same stick! Not only is it unsanitary but no one seemed to notice it me. Never again. read more

Been going to this salon for several years, and I occasionally take my daughters for nails or eyebrows. The owner Acy is not friendly at all and can be a little rough and defensive if you say "ouch". My fingers are sensitive due to medical issues that I have and I try to let the employees know to be gentle when filing. Her husband is super nice but quality of his work is lacking. I love a couple of the girls who don't speak much English. After all the years I've been going there, I've never once been offered any of their specials, they charge for every little thing.. A new tip, a cut down, etc. I've recently considered trying somewhere else but have stayed due to prices being reasonable, pretty good hours, rarely have a long wait because they are well staffed and because I do like the work of 2 of the girls there. read more

Worst nail salon ever. Went there for the first time on a few days ago, they clearly care more about quantity than quality. Paid more money for gel polish and my polish is already chipping after 4 days. Shop is located on the corner, underneath a house. They offer piercings in addition to nails and waxing. I went there for a pedicure and refill. First off, the pedicure was $20 which isn't bad but during the pedicure, they didn't use new or recently sterilized instruments. They simply sprayed them as they went along. And they used dial hand soap to scrub your feet during the pedicure instead of an actual exfoliating scrub. It's an extra $15 for the exfoliating scrub which is standard at all other nail salons I've ever been too. The whole pedicure was over in about 10 minutes. And then they decided to start on someone else's pedicure before someone even started on my nails. I had to ask the owner why did they start on someone else before finishing with me and then he quickly drilled off my polish and then told me to wait for someone else. I have never received such bad service and poor quality of work. I could have done a better job myself. I will never go back there and not would I recommend this place to any of my friends. It's hard to see in this photo but the middle finger with the white polish is already chipping on the corner. Also the polish on the green nails in person is lumpy, not smooth at all. I have been going to Mayfair Nails for at least 5 years. Recently about 4/5 months ago, I am not getting my nails done the way I use too. Kim use to take the time and shape my nails very nicely, however that has stopped. Either they are too thick or too short or not shaped. Also the last time I was there I mentioned that a nail was coming off and I thought it was fixed, after sitting there getting my nails done the first time for well over an hour and a half, I had to return within 2 days, because the nail was coming off again, and then i was charged again. I am not happy with their services any longer, and I will not return. read more

New in area & tried Mayfair nails. They took me right away as a walk in for a refill with gel polish (which I thought was great) the price was right & my nails looked good for about a week. After that the acrylic started to chip on the ends & corners & the gel polish peeled 1/2 way up my nails on both hands. I did go back to give them another chance & experienced the same thing within a week. I will not be going back. The poor quality of acrylic & gel polish is not worth anymore of my hard earned money. read more
