This was my first time visiting Pure Nail Bar, but it won't be my last. I enjoyed that there was a parking lot instead of street parking. I walked in for a mani and pedi, checked in, and was immediately taken back for my pedicure. It was super relaxing. I didn't get to experience the massage chair, but the calf & foot massage made up for that. I went with a basic pedicure. For my nails, I switched it up though. I originally picked a turquoise chrome, but when I saw the royal blue chrome, I was immediately in love. It pops so well in the sun and indoors. I can't stop looking at my hands. I'm so happy with my experience. Prices are reasonable. 10/10 read more

Have a been a customer for about 5 years. This place doesn't need a review as they have plenty of regular clients who return every 2-3 weeks for services. -Location has parking next to a Dunkin and sushi place which is wonderful -Place is super clean. -Staff super nice and professional -I make my appointment in advance so I can get my nail tech of choice and I keep my appointment. -huge variety of colors and designs options -you earn points that you can use as a discount for your payments I love Kim and Sophie as they are able to do a great acrylic oval nail with just about any design I present to them. -appointments are confirmed day prior via text which I find great. -prices are reasonable -quality is high as I definitely get what pay for -nails and pedi last me 3 weeks read more

Went here a few times because it's close to my house. The first 2 times were great which is why I'm giving 3 stars because I went in there 2 days ago and it was awful. My appointment was at 3, I got a call at 2:30 to come in early when I was already on my way so no big deal. She started my dip at 2:40. Didn't prep my nails AT ALL! She Just started dipping straight into the dip powder. Then at 3 I was done. I go to the counter to pay only to realize my nails were barely covered with top coat. The owner called the lady out from the back and she was super sassy about fixing my nails. She pretty much threw my hand at me at the end. It was rushed I'm assuming because the holiday but damn. Basically just realized this wasn't the nails salon for me. read more

My regular nail salon was closed for a week because of the holidays so I had to try a new salon. Came in here on a random weekday and they were able to accommodate a walk in. I always only get regular gel polish, nothing fancy. What I noticed was different from this salon was that they used a drill to remove my old gel. I didn't notice anything at the time but when my manicure was finished, my nail beds were a bit painful and my nail was so thin it would just bend! I've always had super thick, strong nails. So for my nails to just bend at the slightest touch really says something. Every single nail bends downwards if I simply just bump it on something. While the service was great and the nail tech did a great job painting, they really messed up my nail by using a drill to drill off all of my old gel. I do not recommend this salon at all if you have gel polish on or if you do, ask them not to use a drill. read more

I walked in fully expecting to be turned away but was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pick a color and head back to the wash bowls for a pedicure within 10 mins of entering. The pedi wasn't anything fancy but got the job done and I was in and out in under 45 mins. read more

We are pretty happy with our services provided here! I recently got my lashes done and they have withstood sweat, tears, rain, even pools! I'm going on week three, and they're still going strong! They look much more natural than other lashes I've gotten elsewhere, which hubs loves! Sandy did a blend of medium and long to achieve that look. She certainly took her time and you can tell! I've been on the hunt for a new lash place with parking for quite awhile now. So happy to have found it! They offer extensions, clusters and individuals at extremely reasonable prices! Their sns gel collection is impressive! Sandy did my gel nails and a new creative neutral spin on my signature evil eye design. I've received so many compliments on them and I adore them! Can't wait to collaborate with her next time! We most recently visited to get my daughter's nails done, and the prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, their regular gel and French mani chipped kinda quickly, but they're kids. Their pedicures are still going strong however, and we all loved their Elsa chair! I went for a full set about a month ago and my nails stayed on forever. i didn't like the shape of my nails because they looked nothing like the photo i showed. i will attach what i asked for vs what i got. i went back last week for a refill and 2 days later 1 of my nails broke off in half. 3 days later another nail cracked and came off. i am extremely disappointed that i paid $50 for a set of nails for 4 days later 2 of them to be gone. not to mention i'm on vacation and cannot go back to get them fixed. 1 star for me... read more

STAY FAR AWAY! .. Our first visit was just okay.. although my friends toe was bleeding from a pedicure that just went completely unacknowledged. .. we both weren't thrilled with the shape although we tried to explain numerous times and show numerous pictures.. Fast forward to 2 weeks later -- I asked for my nails to be reshaped ..... with a response of "I did that last time". Yes you did shape them but now they are grown out so it shouldn't be an issue ? So my friend was explaining over and over with pictures about her shape - only for them to be way too thin. Upon asking her to fix them, we received a response of "that was ur shape last time but you made me take them off". .. that was far from the shape that was received. Once I asked if my nails could be cleaned underneath- again was scolded that my nails were "old". I just got a new set 1 month ago! They weren't cleaned the last time i asked either .. After much back and forth .. they were finally reshaped but still not to how we wanted. Then after asking the nail technician to place paint my nails all the way to the cuticle - I was told "it would look sloppy but if that's what I want then that's what will be done". I'm utterly confused because no other nail salon has ever had an issue doing that. So tell me how some of my nails are nice and neat and some I have polish on my skin ... why weren't my cuticles cut? We made a simple mistake in there and my friends nail chipped. Both technicians scowled us and yelled .. which prompted the whole salon to stare at us which was even more mortifying.. After sitting for 10 mins waiting for nails to dry - they all ended up chipping. After a few minutes outside - we decided to go back in and ask for gel polish Instead ... While once again- we were ignorantly spoken to which AGAIN prompted the whole salon to stare at us like a show - we asked nicely if we could change and was told "you have to pay". Of course we knew that but we were mortified since they were acting like we tried to scam and get free stuff. Then after ignorant stares. We were told 30 mins to wait until we could even have someone attempt to re paint. After that we left ..... we will never be back and will be sure to let everyone know about this. It's true that they don't really give an enthusiastic greeting but the job done on my nails were always great! They last so long and I get so many compliments. Over priced nail salon. Just bc the inside is gorgeous doesn't mean you can over charge people for half ass service. The guy did my pedicure. He was very nice. But for a pedicure I expect my dead skin and ingrown toe nails to be cut. For my dip powder manicure, they didn't clean under my nails or cut off any dead skin. I was waiting to see if they did it different maybe at the end or something but nope, never. Just a cut and file. My dip powder chipped, cracked, and peeled off 2 days later. Terrible. I started coming here as soon as it opened and I've been to so many nail salons in the city and this is by far the best. It is so sanitary in here especially during Covid, the staff is so friendly and accommodating and they use the best ingredients. It is also very luxurious and while they do charge a little more than others in the city it is by far worth it. My go to forever! read more

I feel like the bad reviews are from people who are trolling their yelp. Honestly it is the best nail salon I have been to in Philadelphia. They are incredibly kind and skilled. I used to live in Grad Hospital and went to Rittenhouse Nails and they were great. I moved to South Philly 4 years ago and never found a place I loved till now...trust me i tried. I promise you will love it. Yes it is beautiful inside and you get a drink if you want it but honestly I go back because they do an incredible job my polish has stayed on for an average of three weeks and they are always giving me tips on how to grow my nails even with having gel. read more

I first came to this nailery about 3 months ago after leaving my previous nailery. I thought the place was beautiful aesthetically, and the customer service that day proved to be a very welcomed change from my previous salon. They offered me wine or water (I told them it was my first time there) , and everything seemed to be going fine. My manicure and pedicure looked amazing. After a few more visits I started to notice distinct differences in how they treated their Black and White customers. While sitting for a pedicure I started to notice how they seemed to cater to the White customers by asking them if they were ok and if they wanted any water or wine. I noticed that when a Black person was seated....they (including myself), were not offered anything, or asked how they were. I've noticed this on multiple occasions, as I would never want to make claims like this against an establishment if I wasn't totally sure. I'm really disappointed in this place because they do a good job, I won't take that away from them. Maybe the employees need a class on customer service across all races. I hope the owner or manager sees this and makes the necessary changes that are desperately needed. Shaking my head at this place and it's employees. read more
