It was especially tricky, as the garage floor was on a slope, and the original opening had been enclosed, so it would would need to be roughed in. There were also a couple beams in the area where the opener would be installed that might be in the way. Dave F., the sales manager had a great grasp of the challenges and indicated that they could do the entire job including rough-in, door and opener. I was especially impressed when he recommended that they could install overhead rails that go on a slant that followed the slope in the floor, to maintain clearance with the top of the car. I got 3 other quotes, and none of them would do the complete job or offered the custom installation required. Two of them never even looked in the garage, and one was better, but referred me to a separate contractor for the rough-in. They were all price competitive, except for one that was 4x higher than the rest (the Costco buying program, ugh). The install was delayed a couple of weeks due to installer illness, which is understandable during December. They were good at letting me know about the delay a day ahead of time. Greg S. was the installer and he showed up right on time, wore a mask while we talked and did a great job on the rough-in and installation. It was pretty tricky, as he had to fit the garage door opener rail under one beam, then over the other beam. It was a tight fit, but he made it work. It was a beautiful job. Tina takes care of the billing and did a good job of taking the deposit and sending the final bill. This was all done by phone/credit card to save time. There was one small problem with the final bill, which was quickly resolved. I've had the door for about a month and am very happy with it. I recently mentioned to Dave F, that since it's a detached garage it would be nice to have an outside keypad, and he was good enough to drop one off recently. Once my girlfriend and I decided it was time to replace our roof, we contact a few contractors to get estimates. From the very beginning Done Right Roofing (DRR), was totally focused on customer service. When we received the estimate, we also received several other PDF documents from them including references, color option information, a certificate from the BBB, client addresses where we could see the color options in person and more. The list of references wasn't just 10 or 20 names ... it was more like 400!! It's worth mentioning that DRR was also the least expensive estimate we received. I got a very nice follow up call from Jim to check in and ask if we'd made our decision. Of course we had and booked the date. Jim went over what we should expect and how we should prepare for the day. The crew and materials arrived at the time and they began work around 7:30am. The work went very fast! They finished our detached garage by 11am and the entire job was complete and cleaned up by 2:30pm. We couldn't believe how fast it all happened. There was a "walk around" after the job was completed to make sure we were satisfied, which we definitely were and still are. The roof looks fantastic and we're completely satisfied with everything DRR did for us. As I mentioned in the beginning, we highly recommend them!!

First impressions last and Done Right didn't disappoint ... they actually picked up the phone when I called! A stark contrast to the half dozen other vendors I called. This is a real contrast to their competitors. Within 24 hours the owner, John Mancini, was at my property to assess wind damage. Fast forward another 24 hours and John was working with my insurance agent to negotiate a complete roof replacement! The job was done in a timely manner with a very high level of quality. My yard wasn't destroyed; there weren't nails all over the place and the new roof looked spectacular! The only issue I had was with my DirecTV dish. During the replacement the dish was reinstalled and could no longer get a clear line of sight. After a series of issues with the provider and the placement of the dish due to nuances of my property I had to move on from the service. While this was certainly not Done Right's problem or responsibility they graciously came over, removed the dish and placed new shingles where the dish was to ensure a roof done right! I can't imagine many other roofing companies would do this. Kudos to the Done Right team! Lastly, my wife and I had a baby during our install and Done Right sent us a very nice card congratulating us. How thoughtful is that?! They say you'll forget what people say to you but you'll never forget how they made you feel. Rest assured we will never forget our experience with Done Right and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a roofing company. We appreciated that Lisa had the creativity to make suggestions we hadn't thought of - even ones that would save us money! For instance, that we should use mirrored closet doors instead of doing a closet space and then separately installing mirrors, which would have cost us more. She patiently went through the different materials, which are all basement-specific to prevent mold, gave us a copy of the plan, and was very responsive by phone and text. Every person from her team who we met was friendly and did good work, paying attention to detail, making sure they cleaned up after themselves. If we wanted more information, it was really easy to call or text Lisa or our project manager, Joel. On the final inspection, Joel caught some things that we hadn't even caught, and he made sure it was fixed the next week. That spoke volumes to us, because they weren't going to be paid until they finished, and here he was pointing out things that he wanted to make sure they fixed, which delayed their getting paid! As to the first reviewer's review -- when I first contacted Lisa, I was also suspicious by the number of questions. But she's just trying to get a full idea of what you want so she can get you a close-enough quote on the phone, and you can both determine whether it's worth your time (and hers) for her to drive out to your house. But don't let that quote necessarily scare you - ours ended up being lower once she came and was able to see and measure out the space in person, because I am bad at estimating square footage and forgot some details (like that the ceiling was already done previously). And yeah, there will probably be a wait, but there was a wait with all of her competitors too. Lisa actually slotted us in earlier when she had another client delay their project, which we appreciated! And don't be afraid to shop around -- Lisa is fair, she'll tell you about her competitors, and she was totally open about giving us their names and we did actually follow up with them and got quotes too. In the end, what made us go with Lisa and her team were that we could tell that they were knowledgeable, their basement-specific materials fit our aesthetics much better, but mostly importantly they had SO MANY references -- we contacted a lot of them and they were ALL pleased and had nothing but good reports, whereas her competitors' references did give us reason to hesitate (word of advice: definitely ask about payment structures at each contractor, because it makes a difference to how well they finish the project for you). I'm happy to have supported a woman-run business, and we are really pleased with how our basement turned out.

First of all, why are you having "him" call me to discuss business like it's 1957 if this is a woman owned and operated establishment?? Secondly, don't waste my time by asking me a bunch of questions like a pathetic first date if you're not going to start work for 5 months. We hired Elite several years ago to renovate our kitchen and convert our three-season porch into a…read moreyear-round eat-in dining area. Unfortunately, our experience was an absolute nightmare. The project fell significantly behind schedule. There were weeks when workers showed up only two or three days, and sometimes not at all. Despite the lack of progress, we were aggressively pressed for payments each week. Eventually, we found ourselves having paid far more than the amount of work that had actually been completed. Then, one day, they said they were not working on the project anymore and never finished the renovation. We are still left without the renovated porch and eat-in area we our out a substantial amount of money, and dealing with poor craftsmanship on portions of the work that were completed. We ultimately had to hire an attorney in an effort to resolve the situation, and our attorney's attempts to communicate with them were ignored. So I'm taking to social media to share my story so it doesn't continue to happen. This has been an incredibly frustrating and expensive experience for our family. After a flood in our home while we had a 21-month-old and a 6-week-old they appeared to be doing things correctly. We later realized that was only because we were stuck in a hotel and couldn't see the shortcuts they were taking. They took advantage of a young family, trying to get back in their home. Fast-forward a year, and the truth came out: - They put the wrong carpet in one of our rooms. I will blame postpartum fog for not saying something sooner. - They installed our toilet in blatant violation of MA plumbing code, it wasn't even secured to the floor. This is basic, entry-level competence they couldn't manage. - they installed hardwood floors that warped and when they replaced it with LVT, they dint remove all the hardwood and now 1.5 years later it's warping again. - They did multiple other things incorrectly, and after constantly following up with them for 5 months, they did ultimately fix them. Despite constantly hyping themselves up on Facebook and recommending themselves at every turn, our experience proved they are not honest, they cut corners whenever possible, and they absolutely do NOT stand behind their work once they're paid. Look up the reviews, look up the litigation against them (which are being added too regularly), our situation is unfortunately not unique. To be clear, I have given elite MULTIPLE opportunities to remedy these issues and they refuse. If you value your home, money, your time, or your sanity, stay far away from this company. They are the last people you want to trust with your home.
