Impossible to reach in emergency situations. No phone calls back for days. The property is not being properly maintained. What is the point of having emergency numbers if you aren't going to call anyone back. I doubt they have even driven by to assess the situation at all. read more

I own a rental property in Pioneer. My previous property manager was not responsive, and I ended up mostly managing things on my own. After a few months of poor service, I switched to Maynard Management. Boy, what a difference. I dealt mostly with Sandy and she is great. Never drops the ball, responds quickly, and is always up front and honest. I also had interactions with brad and Meagan. All were very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I live in the bay area, so it was nice to know that my property was being managed well. So if you are an owner renting out a place up here, Maynard Management is a great company. read more

I have been working with Sandy and Brad Maynard for three years having discharged another property management firm in Amador. What a terrific company. They always have your property as a priority. They keep you informed but also handle anything they can before they call you. They have a network of excellent folks to help them at reasonable rates. They go out of their way to visit the property often to make sure the tenant is being responsible and to make sure the rent is on time. After we filed a small claims suit against them to get our sec.deposit back.... they quickly sent the check off (within 24 hours). Smells similar to a bait and switch. Aren't those things illegal? read more

The company seems on top of their game for the most part. They REALLY need to work on GIVING TENANTS 24hr NOTICE BEFORE ENTERING THE PREMISES! The only time they've given notice on anything was for their yearly/bi-annual apartment inspections. Everything else, repairs and whatnot (non-emergency), were a complete surprise to us when they knock on the door. BY LAW YOU HAVE TO GIVE 24HR NOTICE FOR ANY NON-EMERGENCY ENTRANCE INTO THE PREMISES! See Civil Code 1954 Under Civil Code 1954 [see below], the landlord may enter your unit without your permission ONLY: (1) in an emergency, like a fire or broken pipe, or (2) upon reasonable ADVANCE NOTICE and then ONLY: (A) to inspect, repair, or show the apartment, (B) during normal business hours [presumably Mon.-Fri. 8AM-6PM] (C) 24 hours is presumed to be sufficient notice (D) You do not have to be home when they come, but the landlord is liable for anything stolen or broken. (D) The notice must identify a date and reasonable time range [like an hour] within which the entry will occur (E) The notice MUST be written [not oral or e-mail], except if a WRITTEN notice that realtors will be showing the property is given, for the next 120 days only an oral telephonic 24 hour notice is required [business hour limit still applies] (G) The right of entry can't be "abused", so that an open house, lock box, extended repair, daily entry, or excessive range of entry time are probably all "abuses" which you have the legal right to prevent. read more

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING A PROPERTY UNDER MAYNARD MANAGEMENT. If you plan to rent just know they will show up unannounced and for the dumbest reasons, if you request maintenance they will avoid the problem just to later charge you and/or deduct from your security deposit at move out. My fiancé and I rented a property in West Point for two years. The property was rough at move in and we fixed up the entire yard, added curtain rods, replaced blinds that were broken at move in, fixed doors, patched holes In the walls, etc. after moving in. We didn't mind at all but once we moved out they tried to charge us for "mice" damage even though when they did a pre-move out walk through Sandy Maynard told us to fill the holes with Steel Wool to fix the problem instead of actually fixing the issue with her property! They charged us $300 to clean 10 year old carpets when we moved out! The list literally goes on and on and they claim we have caused $2000 worth of damage to the property! LOL someone needs to be investigating their entire operation and I will make sure it happens. We have scheduled to take them to small claims court and rightfully so. I do not recommend Maynard Management to anyone! My boyfriend and I rented a run down 1950's duplex in San Andreas. At the time it was all we could afford. After about a year of living there I started getting harassed by our next door neighbors niece, who came to help my neighbors out. She caused problems constantly and Maynard management basically said " they've never had a problem like that before". They did absolutely nothing to help us out. Then when we decided to move because the problem got so bad, we cleaned the house THROUGHLY and even cleaned the carpets ( which is the property managers job [legally]) and I didn't even get 50% of my deposit back. I was charged for 13 and a half hours for HOUSE CLEANING?! And they charged 30 dollars and hour?! Simply a joke. Please beware of this company. They will honestly rip you off, especially if you are a young couple and first time renters. They will get every penny they can. read more

We rented from Maynard Management for 2.5 years. I enjoyed renting from them, everything was fairly easy and they are very nice.

I have been a tenant with Maynard Management for over two years now at two different residences. While I will say that the owners of this company prefer to keep relationships professional and might even seem unfriendly on occasion, I must add that they are attentive and take very good care to ensure that their client's needs are met. I sincerely appreciate the way they do business!! Super Kudos to the Maynard staff who I have found to be the cream of the crop - just a delight to call them! More Kudos to their great website. Their Tenant Portal is very user-friendly (and I'm slow with change) and almost everything can be handled online which means I can address things when it's convenient for me - online or visiting the office. All-in-all, Maynard Mgmt is by far the best property management company I've experienced here and I am delighted to be an excellent tenant. read more

I have rented from Maynard Management for over 16 months they care about there clients. We have worked with several Management companies but never one like this there staff and owners are friendly and professional and care about your needs. Great website to pay rent and post service needs. A+ they even have someone in the office on Saturdays answering phones and helping you I was shocked thought I was going to leave a message and I got a live person. They cover Amador and Calaveras county and recommend them to anyone looking for rental or management services you will not be disappointed. read more
