A few days ago, I stopped by this new location to ask about some timepieces. I'd finally decided I wanted to invest in one. I walked in, was greeted right away by security at Mayors, then by Kiki, a sales professional who'd just wrapped up with another customer. That smile of hers? Instant warmth. She was welcoming, easygoing, genuinely kind. I mentioned I was interested in seeing a Tissot, maybe Omega--totally different leagues, I know. She nodded, said they do carry Tissot but not at this location; still, she'd order whatever model I wanted. While we chatted, I mentioned I probably wouldn't consider Rolex mainly because of the price point--though honestly, who wouldn't want one? She smiled, asked me a few questions, then--without missing a beat--pulled out a certified pre-owned Air-King and slid it on my wrist. That was it. One look at how it felt and sat on my wrist and suddenly--like magic--I finally understood. Why settle when you can go big? At this point, I didn't mention to her that the Tissot was farthest from my mind. And now she really had me considering a Rolex. We exchanged numbers. I said I'd think it over--she'd shared so much good information, so generously. Later that day she texted: "I'm here if you need me. Tissot? Happy to bring it in--just a 20% refundable deposit." I sent a text back that my interest had... peaked, maybe Rolex after all. Her reply? "We'll work on a Rolex." Like we'd already teamed up. I felt like she took me under her wing. I loved that. Fast-forward to today--after having done much research on the different Rolex models, I popped in. They said Kiki had stepped out but wouldn't be long. I wandered the pre-owned case... and there it was. The exact model I wanted to see: the Explorer II. I even said it out loud: "That's the one." Told them I'd circle back. Thirty minutes later? Text from Kiki--photos of that same model, like she'd read my mind. I was extremely impressed with the communication from the sales professionals at this store. I walked back in; she lit up, genuinely happy to see me. She offered me a seat, a bottle of water, then brought out the watch. I slipped it on. I was done. I'd already decided: new, not pre-owned. So I said, "Put me on the list." She took my information, made it official; made me feel like family, honestly. Every move she made was smooth, encouraging, reassuring. Walked through the UTC Mayors and was browsing the Rolex watches and a female salesperson asked what I was looking for. I told her and she said oh, probably can't get that watch but we can put you on the list. I said I've been on your list for 5 years and she replied no you have t been on the list for 5 years!! Um yes I have and this is exactly why I wouldn't purchase jewelry cleaner from this store!! read more

Have you ever had an experience where you expected Ritz Carlton like service but it ended up being more like a Motel 8? That's my story with Mayors @ UTC. I'm an avid luxury watch collector. Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Cartier, etc. You name it, I likely own it or have owned it. I was looking for a new dealer for the times I'm in Lakewood Ranch visiting my secondary residence. I thought Mayors would surely be the right fit because of their brand and reputation. Boy was I wrong. On 2/2/26 I Decided to give them a try so I brought in my Omega Seamaster 300M chronograph for a basic service. The idea was to see how they handled a basic service before I came to them for a large upcoming purchase - Sky Dweller or Root Beer. I walked in, and after a long wait, I met with a woman named Kiki. She proceeded to put my $8K watch down directly on the counter right next to a felt watch rest, but not into the felt rest, which is a rookie move (strike #1). Then, Kiki told me the routine service with Omega typically costs around $700 but I would hear within three weeks on the scope of work and cost. Also, an estimated total turnaround time of approximately three months. Six weeks later on 3/17/26, I heard back from Kiki and she told me Omega didn't even receive the watch until 3/5/26. Also, it would be $1,050 and take another 3 months for a total of nearly 5 months for the service! That's absurd! I can let the price difference slide, but my services have never taken longer than 2 months total! I was willing to take on 3 months but not 5. When I confronted Kiki about this she proceeded to argue with me over text and tell me she relays to all clients it's 4 weeks to hear back on scope and price and an additional 3 months for service. That's a straight up lie (strike #2) plus she's saying this being three weeks late on her commitment! I then demanded my watch to be returned without any service because I plan to go to Omega direct or use one of my watchmakers. Kiki rudely texted me it would take another two weeks to return my watch and did not offer any other concessions. I then went to Mayors corporate to lobby a formal complaint as they request online. I received an email response with an apology but no other concessions like stepping in with Omega to expedite or waive the $50 shipping fee or even picking up the phone to call me and apologize for crying out loud! It is 3/28/26 and I picked up my watch after they had it for 7 weeks. It took 30 minutes for their staff to even acknowledge me. They came back with a naked watch, no service, not wound, time not set, and they charged me $55 for the shipping (strike #3)! How tacky! What a complete waste of my time! I could have had it completely serviced by my watchmaker by now! I'm absolutely disgusted with Mayors and I will never do business with them again. It was the tackiest, most ignorant transaction in luxury watches I've ever witnessed. Shameful. read more

You ever wonder why all "Mayors" are always out of Rolex watches but for some reason every single one of them say "take a look at our certified pre-owned?" Well the answer is simple... they're not out of stock. They 100% have inventory that they're either "allocating" to whoever they decide, or pretend is next up on their list that is not actually a list but a "who spent what this year." They always have stock, as Rolex requires at all times 60% resellable inventory to always be on hand at all their ADs. It's company policy. They can sell and go slightly below. But they don't. Why? Because they want to sell you a GMT Master II, which has an MSRP of $12k new for $24k used, and is 3 years old. That's why. Mayors is hands down the worst AD out of all the ADs I've ever dealt with. They're a legitimate scam of an AD and it's the same schtick no matter which location you go to. They're clearly being instructed to push people to CPO Rolex for maximum profit. Do not bother with this AD as there are so many others worth patronizing over them like Bucherer. Remember this, when an AD tells you "they are out of stock and it's exhibition only," they are lying. Why Rolex continues to allow this behavior from their ADs is beyond me. read more

I cannot believe the awful service I received when visiting this location. I brought in an Omega watch to be repaired, and over six months later, I still have not received my watch back. I have visited the store in person TWELVE times, three of which were within two hours of each other, and called over eight times. The in-store service was extremely disappointing, as I was merely blown off (on my third visit that day) despite the other customers in the store getting service without hesitation. I have not received any updates on the watch I brought in for over a month, through text, in person conversations, or calls. I have heard a different story on every visit as to why it was still not ready to take home. I do NOT recommend this location and am horrified at the fact that I am still waiting, after almost a year, for the excellent service I expected to get. I had very negative experience at Mayor's Sarasota. I took my wife's Rolex to be rehauled. Rolex recommended that the band be replaced. We opted out. The original salesperson said Rolex would send the watch with the strap unattached but he assured us that the store could re-attach it. But when I went to pick it up Frank claimed that because of liability issues that could not be done. Therefore I had to take the watch in pieces to an independent jeweler to get the job done. Do everything to avoid this location. After purchasing a $15k watch, they ordered the wrong one and had to wait another month to receive the correct one. I was never contacted on updates or the status. I had ordered an extra watch band and paid the $650 upfront. 5 months later still no band. I went to the store to cancel the order and it was there. Never received a phone call that the band had arrived. By this time I had already found another band and when I asked to return it they refused to help me unless the salesperson was there. They said they would process the return the next day and here I am in store again a week later having to get a refund. This has been the worst customer service experience I've had purchasing a luxury item. Do yourself a favor and go to a boutique in Tampa/Miami to make your purchase. The Omega boutique in Tampa was more than happy to assist me and did so with A+ service. read more

Beware this Rolex Authorized Dealer. I stopped in yesterday to check out the new store at the UTC in Sarasota. Given what I know about Rolex availability I was hoping to see a particular model and at the very least get my name on a waitlist. If by some miracle they had what I was looking for I would have purchased it on the spot. Instead I was greeted by a sales associate like I was some kind of nuisance taking her away from her busy day. (I was the only person in the store). She ultimately showed me a smaller version of the watch and then tried to sell me a different color used watch for more then TWICE retail. She told me if I kept the watch for 5 years I could then change the dial color to the color I wanted. No getting on a waitlist. No check back with us. This store could care less! read more

Cold call to this location located within the UTC mall in Sarasota. It's a smaller stock but very well stocked with new and very interesting pre-owned vintage timepieces and some very impressive jewelry as well, but the majority of the floor are timepieces- notably Tudor, Omega, and Rolex. I was greeted by a young man who has learned ice breakers, complimenting me on the timepiece I was wearing as clearly an enthusiasts piece, and an unusual one to boot. He also was wearing an unusual vintage piece, impressive. This of course led into a very pleasant conversation about watches in general and was certainly glad to show me anything they had. I inquired to certain Rolex indexes but of course they had none to offer. But, I will say this, I was so impressed by the salesman and he actually called me the following day to affirm my interests, and followed up with an email. I am confident I will be making purchases there. read more
