It gives you the feeling as if you are lying down in bed watching a movie. Most of the screenings are usually not filled up so you have your pick of seating even at the last minute. There are several floors available for you to explore. You are located right in the upper west side which gives you great access to restaurants and stores all in walking distance. I was able to pick up food nearby before and after the movie. There even is a bookstore down the street if you have some extra time to spend. I love this AMC and would gladly come back here again for the next movie.

Is there a manager here?! So I walk into Theater 1 about 25 minutes prior to the start of my film. It was dark. Seats aren't marked. I fiddled with my phone to figure out my aisle. Five minutes later more people arrived. Still limited visibility. They too, couldn't find their seats. One eagle-eyed patron noticed the carpet where -- aha! -- the aisles are marked. The screen finally illuminated with the usual ads and coming attractions. No sound. Grr.... I give the place three stars because the screen was large and once there was sound, it was relatively comfortable. Plus -- no reflection of the venue -- the movie was good!

The food and drinks were a highlight too -- I had the pear infused ginger mule which I highly recommend: well balanced, not too sweet, just right. We also got sweet potato fries and chicken nachos for sharing. The nacho portion was generous -- we couldn't finish it. IPic already sets a high bar for the movie theater experience, but this location clears it. Looking forward to many more movies here. Also, there is a parking lot across the street. Prices are already low but you can validate the ticket for up to 4 hours in the lobby of the theater. Free parking is a treat these days, especially if you drive from Manhattan.

Things to note: It's one theater with a disconnected parking garage around the corner. General admissions tickets for a film are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and kids. Live event general admission varies, maybe around $30-$35 depending on the event. You can head to their website for a full calendar schedule of what they're showing. Adjacent to the lobby you can visit the art gallery and see the upcoming and rotating exhibits. Head up the red carpet staircase to the Streichler Gallery and you'll see digital screens along the wall, a Steinway piano, and the entrance to the VIP lounge and private viewing box. It's a real treat for locals who take pride in living around so much history. Did you know they'll be showing When Harry Met Sally on New Year's Eve?
