This is my 3rd time trying it this salon, but my first review. My first visit was a 2 service was just ok decided to give it another try and was convinced to get gel pedicure, I have had this done at other places and was not impressed, but the nail tech promised I would love it and that it would stay on for a very long time-it did and I would have rated 4 stars. That last visit was close to a year ago. I was heading to Austin for a girls weekend and we all wanted pedis but all 3 of my friends said not to go here cause it was just not good but I decided against them since my last experience here was pleasant. Well, that was a mistake! I brought my daughter, and she got a manicure and was almost shamed because she didn't want gel done. For my pedicure they have any of the whites I wanted ( take them out of the book then), my tech didn't talk to me at all and instead stared at the muted TV, no drink was offered even though it was 100 degrees outside, he didn't cute down my toes and after spending over$100 with tips for my gel pedi and my daughters regular paint, her nails were already smudged before we left the parking lot, mine were unevenly painted and the Pic I posted was 2 weeks after I got them done. There are way too many other nail salons around, so I would skip this one and go to another one. This is not up to par. read more

came here for a pedicure before having a baby. I walked in and the guy was sleeping on the couch and jumped up and asked if I called about coming in and then helped me with a pedicure. I chose the level 3 pedicure because that was the one that said they could remove ingrown toenails. He used a tool and put it down the sides of my toenails and made them bleed and then never removed the ingrowns. He used microfiber cleaning towels to dry off my legs and had red lent all over my feet and legs. He put a cooling mask on my legs and left for about 15 minutes and then came running back in the room to get wet towels and looked like he fell back asleep on the couch and forgot what he was doing. When he painted my toenails there was still red lint all over he painted over and when I told him there was hair under the polish he asked me where like he couldn't see it and then wiped it off with a dry paper towel and got polish all over my toe and I had to ask him to wipe it off when he was done. A couple days later my ingrown was bothering me so I decided to call to see if they could make it right and he answered the phone and refused to let me talk to anyone else on the phone and told me to come back in so I told him I would as long as someone else could help me this time and he agreed. When I got there he started the water and told me he was going to do it again and I said no you said someone else could do it and he said no I'll do it and not talk to you, he only said two words the first time so obviously that's not the problem I just wanted a better experience. He kept begging to let him do it again and refused to give me a refund or let someone else work on me. Do not go here unless you want to waste your money and get a creepy guy refusing to let a female do your service. read more

I requested dipped nails for my minor daughter. The nail tech took it upon himself to give her acrylic nails without consulting either of us. He used polish on the tips and it was chipped by the end of the day. A little over a week later and her nails are coming off. There was no apology, even after I addressed the issue. To top it off, they charged $50 for this unacceptable service.Complete waste of time and money. read more

I used to frequent Maysy's and always made my appointments with either Maysy or Lily. They were great and I was never disappointed with the nails I got. I usually get dip powder nails. However, I went in as a last minute decision to have a spa day. We called ahead to make an appointment for pedicures at 1:30 on a Saturday. When we arrived we were taken to our chairs and offered drinks. I showed the nail tech what I wanted my toes to look like (white with a leaf on my big toe) and my friend asked for a French tip pedicure with a sunflower. Both nail techs said that was fine and started working. By the time it came for polish they then told us they couldn't do the design. Personally, I would have preferred to get a color if I knew that what I wanted wasn't an option, but that was not told to us. My nail tech found a stamp and ended up giving me close to what I asked for. But my friends sunflower looked absolutely terrible. And while they were figuring out what to do they were screaming around and completely ignoring us. All while this is going on, another couple of girls came in and asked for pedicures and they were yelled at about wanting gel top coat on their French tip toes. I was absolutely embarrassed to be there. One nail tech even threw a chair across the room because she was mad she had to do a pedicure. YOU ARE A NAIL TECH, THAT IS YOUR JOB. Moral of the story, don't go unless you get someone you know and trust to do a good job. I hope that Maysy hires better in the future. read more

Got a really sloppy gel manicure here. When I left, I had inconsistently shaped nails (that she'd filed down farther than I'd wanted), bumps in the polish, unevenly polished bottom edges, and gel on the skin around my nails. I had a chip on my right forefinger within 48 hours. Plus the technician (based on how she was yelling at the other techs, I speculate she's the manager) was annoyed and short with us from the get-go. When I pointed out the bump in one thumb's polish, she said "Where???" and then did nothing about it. Thank god this place doesn't charge Seattle prices because it was lousy. I'm giving two stars because she did paint white French tips on my niece's tiny little nails, and they looked good. But I'm hoping my KC sister finds a new place to go. read more

Kim is the best!! I was surprised to see the reviews on here because I've been going to her for YEARS and have never had any issues. Kim can do almost any nail design you show her and file/shape your nails to your liking. I like my nails to be a little thin and Kim does just exactly that! Today I took my boyfriend in to get pedicures together. I called to make a reservation for 5pm we walked in and they sat us down water was cold. We waited for 30 minutes before anyone noticed we were still waiting. I will never come back. read more

Would you believe me if I said I JUST got these nails done today...they look like they've been lived in for a couple weeks. (No, I did not bump anything. No I did not touch them. No I did not do anything to them after the fact.) and before you say anything, it's not because of my ogre feet, but because of the busted paint job that I received MIXED with my ogre feet..I don't really understand why someone would think this looks decent...I walked in with a better pedicure than the one I walked out with. Very disappointed today. If I come back I'll make sure to ask for a different nail tech. read more

Kevin is amazing. He's my nail tech and always goes out of his way to help me find the perfect colors. Very personable and welcoming. He does the best job cleaning my cuticles and making sure Im completely satisfied with my nails before I leave the salon. They have one of the largest selections of dip colors I've ever seen, but I'm not a fan of dip. I wish they had more gel polish colors, but i usually find what I'm looking for there. read more

Called yesterday to make an appointment for a friend and I. The lady was super rude, said "we don't take appointments on sunday b/c we are busy" and hung up on me. We went first thing in the morning, we were not acknowledged or anything. There was not anyone waiting. Very rude, very unprofessional, will not be back! So glad to find this place again. My best friend and I went here all the time at their old location, but didn't realize were the had moved to. Same great service and the place is nice and clean. Took my step-daughter this evening and we had nothing but great service. Great way to enjoy the last weekend before school starts this week. Sandy was super nice and my nails look great. I didn't get the gentleman's name that did my step-daughters, but he was funny and helpful in explaining why it's important for her to take care of her feet (THANK YOU). First off I asked for my nails a little short and showed the guy who was doing my nails what size I wanted and he cut them a lot shorter the whole time he was doing my nails he was playing a game and he also cut my skin and it really burns and they just don't look good and look like gel they were all clumpy and not good. read more
