My nails look like a lizard did them. I was supposed to have a bow on my middle finger, she put it on my ring finger. My French tip is way too thick. The shape is all messed up too. I left to get some cash to tip them, by the time i came back, the bow had already fallen off. Then when they glued it back on, with an attitude, they used a huge glob of glue. so go here if you want ugly as hell nails read more

Typically the best experience, but today unfortunately didn't go like usual. I usually come in no appointment on a not busy day so I get put with whoever's available, usually Kim who is an amazing nail tech. Today I was with Sam (I believe) and she was a bit rude. Made comments about how I said no to a design because of the price. I only brought enough for the base service and $20 tip so I couldn't do the design, which is why I denied the extra, but she made a comment about how it was "too much for me" and said the price over and over as if i couldn't afford it. I asked for a new set of acrylics , long nails, coffin shape, curved with a red and white ombré. They made my nails short, crooked and uneven. I went back for them to fix it. They took my nails off then I asked for what I originally wanted they said they can't do red and white so I asked for pink and white. Then the said that they can't do curved. So I asked for my money back refused to redo them or give me my money back. If you want, crooked, uneven, ugly fingernails this is the place to go. First, I walked in on a Sunday without an appointment and they were able to work me in after a short wait, although they did seem busy so I will be sure to make an appointment going forward! Second, they have SO MANY dip powder color options. I've been in search of a place with a good variety of colors so I never feel like I'm choosing the same colors over and over. I get my nails done faithfully every other Friday. I just moved to KC. So of course I'm going to need a new nail salon. So I decided to try this place out because I saw a good rating. Smh it was not a good place. I'm sorry but if your doing nails and ur constantly texting,answering the business phone, and looking up and around every time a customer comes in,gets up or makes a move while your holding on to my finger and doing my nails is a big NO NO!! This salon is close to my job and super convenient after working so I gave it a try. When I arrived, I was put in a seat very quickly, but still waited about 45 minutes. I had recently got my gel nails off and just wanted the polish so that my nails had time to heal in between gels. I picked my polish color and was very excited about it. She added remover to it to make it thinner, which is not an abnormal thing at a nail salon, I waited almost an hour for my nails to dry because they just wouldn't dry. They seemed dry and the tech told me to go ahead and leave as soon as I got in my car five of them were messed up I called, went back and they fixed them free of charge, about 2 days later I had a red mark on one of my fingers me thinking it was just a cut I ignored it. A couple days later my finger started swelling and I was starting to lose a little bit of feeling in the tip so I decided to make a trip to the doctor. The doctor told me that I had a pretty severe bacterial infection and asked me if I have gotten my nails done recently, I told him yes and he let me know that that is exactly what caused my infection and to not get my nails done at Mindy's anymore. I don't recommend this place but if you do go here, make sure that all the tools are coming out of plastic. I don't recall seeing her opening one tool, and I also watched her wipe off tools from her drawer onto washcloths while I was sitting there. Moral of the story is that I got a pretty bad infection and I just would not go to this place. I sent them a message on Facebook letting them know of my infection and they ignored me multiple times. I really wanted to love this place because I'm desperate to find a decent nail salon. Two days after my gel manicure I have a peeling nail, which isn't surprising because the tech was in a major hurry and didn't let any of the coats stay under the light a full cycle. A different tech refused to use the nail strengthener I brought for my toes, saying the polish wouldn't stick to it. It's designed to be a base coat ‍ I did have an appointment but that did not result in their having enough time to do the job well. The salon had several customers, however one of the male techs asked for our appt. & name. We chose our polish & sat. Ok I've been to my fair share of nail salons, so I know what I'm talking about when I say that MINDY's is the ABSOLUTE BEST nail salon out there. Jessie did a fantastic job on my nails. She really went above and beyond to make sure they were exactly what I wanted. She inspected them carefully and made sure the polish perfectly covered my nails without overlapping into my cuticles. I just had the most amazing pedicure with Thi. This was my first time here and I will be back. Thi took his time and gave me an awesome pedicure and foot and leg massage!!! Wow! My toes were hurting when I came in because of pressure on the sides of my toes. He took care of it for me. He took his time. I didn't feel rushed at all. I recommend Thi to anyone. If I only got a pedicure I would give them a higher rating. I would ONLY recommend a pedicure. I rarely leave reviews but I feel my experience here deserves it. The man that did my nails told me he would NOT put glue on the underside of my nails (did not even give me the option to pay extra as I would have). One of my nails had lifted and he did not bother to clean up the old lifted acrylic on any of my nails. I had to tell him. Once he was done he did not clean under the nails with the thin attachment. The worse part of this is that 3 days later the nail that I told him about LIFTED AGAIN and the acrylic they used to fill began lifting on other nails less than a week after I was there. read more

However, in trying to make conversation, the tech said several things that were offensive. So I started going to XO Nails in Liberty. I LOVE XO Nails. Better than Mindy's hands down. visited mindy's for the first time yesterday, made reservations for a full set & pedicure. the women who did my pedicure did a terrific job imy foot definitely felt good during and after the service but a thin older woman doing my full set came to the table already irritated about something.she asked what would i like done?, i explained: 1)requested medium length(cut short) 2) asked for rounded tips(square tips given 3) numerous times cuticle sanded(painful 4)gap between cuticle and mid nail not painted( solution she painted cuticle) i did not tip her, but did tip $10.00 for pedicure. i did let who i believed was the owner know both experiences, to which he just nodded and continued what he was doing. i wouldn't reccomend this business read more

I've been going here to get dip powder manicures and pedicures for the past 2 years. They have a wide selection in colors, complimentary drinks (water, wine, margaritas),and great customer service. They guarantee their service so if a nail breaks or color chips they'll fix it free of charge no questions asked.
