This optical place is great! The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. The optometrist is GREAT! She spent a lot of time with me to get my prescription just right! She suggested that I see an ophthalmologist as she noticed something not quite right...turns out she was RIGHT! I have the beginnings of a cataract as a result of sun damage!The ophthalmologist was very impressed! My beautiful new glasses were ready in 2 days! Amazing service! I wear progressive lenses and they made recommendations that suited my needs. As a progressive wearer, you MUST listen when they tell you if the frame is too small... they know what they are doing but some people want what they want! i started coming to Maz for my eye exams and glasses about two years ago and i have been recommending them ever since. i have yet to meet a staff member that wasn't nice- the doctor is so sweet and the ladies that handle the glasses are always so cooperative and kind. the staff even remember you when you come in! i'm very particular about what i want and never once were they impatient, they even ordered me a pair based on me telling them exactly what i liked-with no extra charge-and they were perfect. they'll never pressure you to pay more and they're very affordable depending on your insurance. as soon as i chose my frames they installed my lenses within 15 minutes (that's no exaggeration) and i was on my way. not planning on using a different place any time soon! read more

I have been coming to Maz optical for about 15 years, when it was at the other location, and this one in Holbrook since it opened. They have a huge selection with better prices than when I shopped around in the past. But the best part about this location is their employees. They are so kind, helpful and patient and have literally helped my for hours pick out eyeglasses on many different occasions, Linda and Marilyn make going to the eye DR fun and exciting even if my insurance at the time is only Medicaid, they are enthusiastic and passionate about glasses. All of the staff are wonderful, but Linda goes above and beyond customer service. I made my first visit to Maz Optical last Friday and I have to say I was blown away by their expertise and customer service. The office staff was very hospitable and engaging! Their selection of eye wear....don't get me started! If I didn't have my mom there with me I would've come home with at least eight pairs of designer frames! There's so much to choose from! I travel all the way from Queens to come to this amazing place. My son hates, throws tantrums, at all other eye glasses places so someone recommended we take the hour drive here. It is worth every minute and then some. Linda and her team are phenomenal. Linda is so kind, very smart and really helpful. She makes us feel like family every time we are there. This was my first time going to Matz. Had been using TOC in East Setauket for years but their Refractions were getting me no where. Called and made an Appointment and got in that day.
