What a hidden gem of dripping spring. The place is super cute and spacious. The matcha latte was well done. I tried pumpkin bread and chocolate banana bread and both were tasty. I really can't find anything to not like about this place

Stopped here on the way to Fredericksburg from Austin. The coffees were great. I wanted to stay and drink mine so I could order another... but deadline kept me moving. It was a fun stop with friendly people in a nice atmosphere.

First of all, it's got the perfect facade, the old building is the most charming thing. Inside it's wood and metal, warm and inviting but not cluttered, well lit, really lovely. There's a large patio, and a side room with plenty of seating. The Betty White latte was so, so good. The staff were very friendly. Nothing more to ask for.

Delicious coffee cake and ice tea on the patio at Mazama

Delicious coffee cake and jalapeño cheddar scone! The iced tea was fresh and perfectly brewed. The patio was relaxing and well shaded. We will be back!

This is probably the only boutique coffee shop in DS, so they do get a bit busy. The only competition is the Starbucks up the road so be prepared for a slight parking crunch on weekends. There's an auxillery seating area inside and outside to go with a couple of bench seats in the main hall. Standard coffe shop vibe with plenty of wood tones and moody lighting. I liked the streamlined menu, there's a chalk board to show seasonal specials and they offer both baked goods that look house made and some other hot items that look tasty. Coffe itself was pleasant, wasn't scalding hot when I got it and the level of caffeine didn't give me the jitters. Went with their house made Cinnamon Brown Sugar Latte in both hot and iced variety for my wife. Loved that it wasn't too sweet either. Definitely would be here weekly or more if I lived in Dripping Springs.

THE BIG: In the heart of downtown Dripping Springs. Parking looks plentiful but actually pretty tough to find, not impossible, just tough. Outdoor patio for outdoor talking and indoor seating for working if needed. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here on a tuesday early afternoon and the place was packed! I stood in line to grab a coffee for 15 mins. We had a couple of calls to take around that time and we found Mazama to have a decent quiet room but the noise from the patrons and coffee machines still made their way through. Fortunately, noise-cancelling headphones are the way to go! THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall great coffee shop if you're looking for a morning to early afternoon buzz. Damage done was ~$7 for a chai latte and a regular brew.

    Try it!

Great local coffee shop in DS. There's usually a line but it moves fast. I usually get the lattes with oatmilk along with their many different flavors like hazelnut or irish cream. Baked goods are really delicious, especially the morning glory and blueberry muffin, which is vegan! Can't say much about lunch items, I think I had a sandwich once and it was good. Pro tip: try the chagaccino, totally unexpectedly good

They also happen to have perfect soft serve ice cream for a hot afternoon. The real gem for me is the danish though. It's great every time and often unique, and I don't know how they manage to find so many delicious combinations. We got an assorment of goodies, but I only got to try the Brown Butter Peach Donut and their Kouign Amann. I can't remember exactly the flavor of the koign amann, but it was really good! It was unique and carried a good citrus flavor - the donut was good too. It was dense and every inch was covered in yummy glaze. There are some small tables inside and outside to enjoy your goodies! Decent amount of parking in the gravel lot.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Thyme & Dough…read more Per my confirmed order ticket, I arrived and placed my order at 9:13 a.m. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, and my total came to $42.80, including a 20% tip. After waiting over 20 minutes without any update, I asked around 9:34 a.m. how much longer my order would take. Instead of simply apologizing or providing an update, the employee checked my payment time and told me that the wait was "right on target" for a good breakfast. When I politely expressed that the wait seemed excessive for what I had ordered, she reiterated that this was normal and that good food takes time to prepare. I didn't feel those comments were necessary--they made me feel dismissed rather than understood. She also stated there had been a long line ahead of us, which wasn't accurate. When I arrived at 9:13, there was only one customer finishing her order at the register. I finally received my food at approximately 9:38 a.m. While I understand that fresh food takes time, a 25-minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, especially with no proactive communication, felt excessive. A simple acknowledgment of the delay or a more empathetic response would have made a significant difference. Instead, I left feeling that my concerns were brushed aside. Between the lengthy wait, the dismissive interaction, and the overall experience, I didn't feel the service justified the price or the 20% tip that was included in my purchase. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Let me start by saying we drove over an hour to get here and the hand pies were more than worth it…read more We got the following hand pies and rolls: steak slice, chicken pot pie slice, jalapeño sausage roll, spiced lamb roll, and ham & Munster pie. Every single one of them...simply awesome!!! Even when I had done the next day warmed up, still amazing! My wife and son got lemon bars, millionaires shortbread and peach cobbler scones and they were also very good. My only complaint and why this isn't a five star review is because they pretty much had one person making coffee and taking/delivering orders. There were two other employees there while this was happening, but one guy was on his phone until he saw the entire line looking at him before he skulked off to the back and another person washing pans. She was busy but when she finished, she just stared at the line and then walked to the back as well. I get people may not be trained for every job, but this poor girl getting slammed and doing everything herself needed help. At least pretend to ask. An older gentleman walked in and went behind the counter, surveyed the line, checked a pastry fridge to make sure that it was stocked up, went to back briefly and walked out. No one ever helped the poor girl at the front counter. Food is amazing, but you may be waiting quite a while to order if they keep this up. Will we return....heck yes. I just hope they get the front area more help.

They have some really unique flavors of deserts - Whiskey Pecan, Pumpkin Caramel Latte, Lemon Vodka Cheesecake, etc. The pies run in the mid-twenties, and some cakes in the forties. It's better to check out the website for current pricing. But there are some deals like 3 mini pies so you can taste some different selections at a reasonable price. And today we got two cake slices at $5 each. The carrot cake was more frosting than cake. I didn't taste any nuts in it. And maybe because it wasn't suppose to have any. I'm not recommending it. It was blah. The holiday special was the Pumpkin Caramel Latte cake . It is seasonal. It looked awfully good with some caramel stripping on it. I found the cake to not be spectacular, but title certainly did seem promising. The gentleman waiting on me was very knowledgeable, nice and helpful. The bakery was clean and had lots of cakes and pies. Well stocked and gave people opportunity to look at them. I recommend a tasting before a full cake/pie purchase. I am glad I bought a slice vs. a full cake, I would have been very disappointed if I had gotten a full cake/pie.
