    Carrot cake to go!
    Carly H.

Stopped in after leaving Pedernales Falls State Park. The staff was so helpful and accommodating to someone who was very overwhelmed by all the yummy choices on offer. I sat in the patio to enjoy my meal and coffee and it's a very homey and comfy spot to sit and unwind. Everything I ordered was absolutely perfect and I will be remembering this spot for the next time I am in the area visit the park.

    Great coffee

Right on 290 next to Pig Pen bbq you'll find this rustic little coffee shop. Obviously it's a very popular spot to stop with over 500 reviews. The prices are surprisingly reasonable and the quality of the pastry goods and coffee makes it worth coming to. In other words, they seem to have the right formula working for them. There's a fair amount of seating inside, but even more outside under the awning. There are two unisex bathrooms and even some games that you can use. Variety of drinks from flavoed teas,, soft drinks, and even wines by the glass. The menu photos below will let you know what kind of sandwiches and salads they serve. Just so you know, they do charge a 3% credit card fee and the tip screen will be waiting. Definitely a popular place to hang out, but the parking can be a little tight. Informative photos that say more than words included.

Great local mom pop with friendly service that has the perfect cozy backdrop to grab a great coffee, pastries and breakfast. Front has oodles of pastry options and their breakfast croissant is hearty and delish! Seating both inside and outside.

    Great local art.

Wow, what a cool breakfast and lunch spot! Nice ambience, with local art on the walls. I had a gluten-free chicken sandwich that was so tasty. They have many gluten-free cookies, pies and pastries and cheesecakes. Super friendly service, too.

Cool kids toys to keep them occupied while you wait.

Cute little house style restaurant. The people were friendly. The brewed coffee was good. The yogurt was loved by both kids. The sandwiches were delicious. The croissants were fluffy and buttery tasting. Give yourself time because they do get busy!

We were on our way to Fredericksburg and stopped by there to grab breakfast to go. We got the breakfast pesto croissant sandwich and it was not your average croissant bwich. The thick bacon is bomb! It was crispy lean but not dry. Seriously I wish I knew where they get their bacon from so I can buy it lol! The pesto lacked the pack of pesto flavor and a personally think more pesto could have been put in the sandwich to pack a punch. I asked for over medium eggs and one was cooked correctly and the other was over cooked. The eggs are super fresh and what makes this sandwich unique. You can tell the eggs are high quality. Service was fast. Do I recommend this place? Yes! I love a breakfast croissant sandwich and this place offers that! I would order the same again and ask for more pesto in the sandwich.

Side door is entry; Front door is exit. I love to see that Rolling in Thyme & Dough is rated so well on Yelp. I've gotten in the habit of coming here weekly because I appreciate the consistent quality of their fresh ingredients, the beautifully eclectic outdoor seating area, and the same friendly faces. I probably come here for my mental health as much or more than the food these days. The outdoor area is just that serene to me.

    Sweet potato curry soup

First time visitor with several girlfriends on a Friday afternoon. It was fantastic. We were a large group, and all gave separate orders, but they handled it beautifully. Everyone got the chicken salad, which they raved about. I was different and got the torte and a cup of a sweet potato curry soup. The torte crust was flaky and buttery. The soup had the perfect amount of spice. We sat outside which was as lovely. I can understand why this place is so popular.

We were in town for a friend's Halloween party and stopped here for lunch. Very quaint bakery and restaurant. The sandwiches were delicious and outstanding selection of coffee. This is not a place for anyone in a hurry. It's ideal if you're wanting a great place to slow down and take a time out of the everyday routine and enjoy a slower pace and chill. Great food and lovely atmosphere to enjoy a break from rat race of normal day.

    Ham and Cheese pocket.

Had a Ham and Cheese pocket. Good flaky pastry with a good cheese and flavorful ham. Attentive service. Lots of artwork and local crafts to see.

It was pretty pricey for what we got, but really good food! The service was super friendly but took a while, BUT they do warn you about that beforehand since they are mom & pop! The vibe was really cool and relaxed, with lots of room to sit comfortably.

This is one of those places that makes Dripping Springs / Hill Country / ATX / Texas great! Everything about it - the decor, the friendly service, the delicious food, great coffee, historic building. I've been a couple of times but haven't gotten a chance to write anything, but both breakfast and lunch, or just swinging by for baked goods have all been fantastic experiences. I would (and have!) bring friends and family from out of town here, and be excited to bring them here and say "this is why we live in Texas Hill Country"

    Rancher's Roast Beef Sandwich
    Joshua J.

This restaurant is a must when visiting Dripping Springs. This was our first time checking out the place and although I was disappointed that we missed breakfast (breakfast ends at 11am and lunch begins), the lunch was fantastic! I had the Ranchers Roast Beef on Sourdough - I'm glad I made that choice. The sandwich wasn't dry at all and the flavors worked well together. My wife got the Two Step Grilled Chicken sandwich and that was great too. It actually had a bit of a kick to it. For dessert, she had an almond croissant and I had the Cadillac Cookie (chef's kiss). I look forward to returning and trying their breakfast. I also heard the Meatloaf sandwich is highly sought after and it was sold out when we arrived at 11:30 . Inside was nice and set up in a way to allow foot traffic to flow. We chose to sit outside under the shade. Although the weather was in the high 80's, it felt cool under the shades and trees.

O---M---GOSH! if you havent tried this place, RUN, do not WALK!…read more my group of 6 all ordered different sammies, ALL WERE LOADED down with proteins! AKA MEAT! toppings were fresh around the board - and everyone raved about their sandwiches - all had different breads and they were talked about too. i got the french dip $15 and could only manage to put away 1/4 of it. meat was tender & well seasoned, good cheese ratio (i skipped onions & horseradish mayo) and au jus was very good. cant remember the last time a group order or various dishes received rave reviews across the board! side special of carrot fries was hot, fresh, well salted & surprisingly yummy. i dont like carrots - in any form - but i guess i have now found a form i like! side cheese curls was SO chewy-licious seasoned in garlic butter! and dont skip the desserts! several of us got the lemon bar $4 which was everything bright and good! i also got a NY style b&w cookie $5 that was a big as my hand. service was fast & friendly and amazingly perfectly accurate - important if you are taking food to go. which might be a good idea at peak times. seating at bar, and a few hightops with 2 hightops for 2 outside. also a picnic table outside. we all have other dishes we are anxious to go back and try. and in a town where a lot of places roll up their shops after lunch, its nice that turcotte's stays open til 9. meats by the pound available as well.

It was probably close to a lb of meat. The roast beef was fresh and I ate it all after a 5 mile hike. The venue is super cute and surprising to be in a strip mall. The family who owns and runs it is super nice. I would come back to try their other sandwiches because my friend said the Reuben was really good. I will update my review after I try another sandwich.
