My husband and I decided to stop by Sonder as my husband wanted to find it's location. The location was past a field with longhorns. After we found it, we parked and walked in. This coffee lounge has a really laid back atmosphere with plenty of places to sit. I took some photos and thought it was weird that there weren't any customers. A few minutes after entering we were greeted by a man working there. He was friendly and told us that they were closed and had just shut down at 3:00 pm. My husband then asked about their coffee beans. He told us that if that was all we wanted then he'd sell some to us. My husband looked at the choices, picked the blend that he wanted, we paid and then left. This is a nice coffee lounge with a laid back atmosphere and friendly service. My husband and I would both return to try their coffee in the future and are thankful that they allowed us to purchase some coffee beans to use at home. read more

I work in the Dripping Springs area and I asked one of my clients if they had any coffee shop recommendations and one of them told me to make the drive out to Driftwood for this place. Walking in felt like walking into your grandmas living room in the best way possible. The decor and furniture gave a very comforting vibe. Ordering was nice and easy, I tried the banana cream/bread matcha and it was delicious! It was one of the best matchas I've had. Not too overpowering with the banana flavor and not too much milk and sugar like other places. I enjoyed doing some school work here after my job. Really great place for a coffee and breakfast taco or donut. Very friendly. Just off the road to Driftwood winery (1826) no sign because neighborhood won't let them. Just enter into the La Ventura gated neighborhood and they're right there before you need to use the gates. Nice people, great coffee and just great ambiance. This is by far my favorite coffee shop around Austin. I drive 45 minutes at least once a week to visit. It's the perfect place to do some work, there's so many comfy couches and tables to sit at and they even have lap desks you can use and pillows and blankets. It's really feels like a home. Their drinks are amazing, there's so many types of cold foams and flavors they can really make anything you want if you just tell them a few of your favorite flavors. Such a nice family and their cute dog run the place and you can really see their passion in the space. I love all the animals in the area too. Rolled up on this coffee shop as I was exploring the back country, and I am not disappointed in the slightest. As soon as you walk in the environment is so beautiful and relaxing. The coffee tastes amazing, the people are wonderful and kind. There is subtle music playing which is also a perfect studying environment, I would've stayed there all day if I got the chance. I actually despise coffee shops/lounges. The few times I have been to Starbucks, I feel like I just don't belong there. They are "cold" (not temp) and unfriendly. Furniture is just that and bland. I just had the opportunity of going with a friend to Sonders and from the moment I entered I felt like I was at a beautiful home. It is gorgeous and with a fireplace, the whole place just seems so cozy that you don't want to leave. My Cappuccino was so good that I had a second. Had a great conversation with the owner and I will be back! Thank goodness for a coffee shop that makes you feel at home because why leave your home to go to one that looks and feels like an ugly cheap hotel lounge. read more
