Best Kofta Kabab. Must try. 11/10 must try again

Dawg good service and the food is to die for. Bring your families here!!!! Scenery is very elegant. They have various drinks to choose from. Nice paintings on the wall.

Decided to try this place after a couple of name and ownership changes. The place has been renovated and the interior looks nice and the quality the food is good but not amazing. My chicken was super tender, almost too much and the meat kebab did not taste great and the portions were small compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants. I wish him good luck but the location is set back from the main road, so it doesn't have great exposure. I recommend making the portions a bit bigger and maybe revamping the recipe a little bit.

Very good Afghani food. Much better than Sami's. All dishes we ordered had no visible oil at all. Extremely clean taste and delightful. The white, green and red sauces are all just simply great. No preservatives no artificial added. The beef triangle dumplings were interesting too. Side dish carrots with raisins were naturally sweet with nothing heavy added in. This spot is a definitely keeper for us.

Let me start by saying what an aesthetically pleasing restaurant this is! Subtle grey washed tables and chairs that allow the vibrant wall murals to shine. Hues of blue and white that give the space a clean, orderly look. A small mosaic tiled area that could be used for dancing (they do have live music on certain nights) and some seating areas where soft pillows invite you to lounge with friends. After walking in, the warm vibe continued as we were greeted by our server. She welcomed us with a smile and showed us to a table. We called ahead and knew that alcohol was not sold at this establishment. We brought wine and we're given a corkscrew and some glasses. We had a Groupon that entitled us to an appetizer (besides the complimentary salad provided to us), two entrees, two desserts and two soft drinks, teas or other beverage. After my inquiry she (our server's name escapes me) explained that Mazar Kabab was formally Sami's Kabab House. New owners took over last year but, the outside signage is recent. The menu cover and the dessert menu have yet to be updated. Our meal consisted of the Bolani Kachalu and Borani Banjan (served with bread) appetizers, two Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao entrees and two traditional Afghan desserts and two green teas. Each dish was fresh and delicious!! The flavors, smells and tastes all combined made the meal memorable! The service was exceptional! Look them up on social media, make a reservation and fill your belly! Thank me later....

Food that I received.... I had apps tho.

Oh man where do I start.... It started amazing. Ordered apps... great. At the same time I ordered apps, I ordered food for the kids at 8:30 pm Kids food didn't come out till almost 10:30 pm!! She told me it would take "16 minutes" when I asked why is it taking so long. Um ma'am it's been almost 2 hours... They brought apps for adults and even entree for most of the adults and kids nothing. My meal never came out. After waiting for 1.5 hour. No problem but the waitress tries to argue with me that I never ordered!! What?! Am I here to just look at the wall?!! I usually don't write bad reviews but after how many mistakes can you look the other way?? I would have still looked the other way if the waitress was nice about it. Every time she kept trying to blame it on me. On a positive note, food was good but don't come on the weekend. They don't have the staff or a big enough grill. If you want to come, try on a week Personally I would not come again. I paid $200 and barely ate.

The lamb was super tasty! Service was efficient. The decor is interesting and unique...it was a bit loud due to part of the restaurant being reserved for an event that night, but overall great place to grab some afghan food in a casual setting.

Delicious food! Incredible flavor. Reasonable prices. The three sauces they put out as condiments are each equally delicious. You'll want to take the leftovers home. The food is so delicious and consistent. We've never had a bad meal there. I usually get the Sabzi Chalou, but with chicken instead of lamb - the spinach itself is good enough for a meal! That said, the lentil soup is amazing too! Don't forget to get the Naan bread

Bill with added fees that were not mentioned at the time of placing the order.

Great food. Last time we were here salad was included with dinner, this time we were charged for two salads, (no mention of an extra charge when placing the order) Also no mention of adding a 5% charge for using a debit card and/or an added 20% service charge plus an additional request for a tip. We feel somewhat duped, on our prior visits we never had extra fees added to our bill, I know times are hard, however I'm a big believer in fairness, honesty and transparency when catering to your guests.

We had sigara borek and hummus as appetizers, and the hummus in particular was so fresh and flavorful - definitely the best hummus I have ever had. We ordered a couple of entrees and unfortunately the wrong food came out. We didn't initially realize and thought they had put out two meals on the platter (and they were just small portions) and included some extras as well, until our waiter came over a few minutes later and apologized. Unfortunately, because we received the mixed grill instead of our two chicken entrees, the solution of charging us the price for the mixed instead of our two meals only took roughly $10 off the bill but resulted in us having less than half of the food we otherwise would've had. That aside, the food was delicious enough that Kebab House still warrants five stars and we will be back, just more aware of what to expect as far as portions.

Ali the owner and his talented staff always make the experience great no matter how busy the restaurant is. I came here with very good friends of mine that I knew loved Turkish food. We came here on Saturday night and when I arrived the restaurant was packed. Despite that we never felt rushed, they were well staffed and worked together as a well oiled machine to make the experience flawless. The weather was perfect so we sat outside, there is ample parking either in their parking lot or across the street. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hand blown glass chandeliers from Turkey. For the sake of brevity I'm going to list all the dishes we had. Each one had its own unique flavor down to the Lavos Hollow bread with its slightly buttery flavor. You have to try each one. Prices are very fair and portions are great. We had the eggplant with tomato sauce, Turkish Ezme, Calves liver cubes, a large Shepherd salad, for appetizers. For entrees we had two of the Bronzino, the Shrimp Shish, and the Lamb Shish. For desert we had the Chocolate Baklava, the Kunefe, the Turkish coffee, and a of the Apple tea. Ali made a couple of special dishes including an eggplant dish and home made hot Halvah for desert. It's amazing how small the world really is. My friends thought they knew the owner Ali but could not pinpoint from where. After talking for a while they realized they knew him from when he worked at another Turkish restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn called Liman. It has since moved to Coney Island. Ali opened Bosporus Cafe Grill in Port Washington in 2014 and I'm am glad he took the risk to go out on his own. His business partner is the chef and is also a butcher. They've combined their talents to provide one of the best restaurants experiences you will ever have. I've been coming here for several years and it never gets old. I highly recommend them for great food, service and atmosphere. There's a lot to see in Port Washington and you can take a stroll by the water afterwards.

Unfortunately, our experience took a very upsetting turn when we found what appeared to be a bug in the food. We contacted the restaurant to explain what we found and hoped they would handle the situation professionally. Instead, the conversation quickly became hostile. After some back and forth the owner ultimately became very aggressive and said "if you want me to deal with this issue personally you can come in person and we can handle it like men" to my older brother which felt threatening. We left the interaction feeling disrespected, intimidated, and completely disgusted with how our concerns were handled. We were unable to reach a resolution or receive a refund despite raising what we believed was a serious food safety issue. Finding a literal insect in a meal is concerning enough, but what made this experience especially disappointing was the way we were treated afterward. From one Muslim person to another- that man had no kindness in his heart. I truly hope the restaurant shuts down or that man ends up on the street bc he's not taking food safety concerns seriously.

The decor is mostly white fixtures and reminiscent of the Mediterranean sea side, adorned with greenery and flowers. There are plants hanging everywhere, ceiling, walls, and is part of the decor in each dining room. Several dining rooms in fact. This place is larger than it seems from the entrance. Multiple sections of seating so you can specify if it's open. The food: portions are huge. Definitely shareable appetizers and a great variety to choose from. We wanted the taramasalata but unfortunately it was not available. So we got the grilled octopus, eggplant appetizer and the American Saganaki. The octopus was quite good and paired with a sprinkling of cut cucumbers and tomatoes. A favorite was the lentil soup. That bowl was quite large and it was very good. Even my picky one asked for some. Dinner entrees were more impressive in size. I ordered the fork tender lamb shank. Well seasoned and not gamey. Sauce was on point, definitely a bit heavy for a summer night dinner but I didn't mind. We opted for the Bulger wheat instead of rice. Great choice as it added another level of flavor to my stew-like sauce. Very enjoyable. My friend ordered the grilled Pompano, white flesh but lots more bones than the branzino. So if you want less work, get the other. But still a very meaty fish for one. Served also with Bulger wheat and vegetables. Skipped on dessert as we were craving something elsewhere. Dinner satisfied our bellies. Parking was easy since Ayhan's let's you use their lot at the corner of the block for all three of his joints. There's a lobster and fish place across the street from here. And the grill/marketplace cafe is only open during the day.
