This place is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment you walk in the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I came in during the afternoon and was blown away by their menu they have fantastic lunch specials Can we talk about the grilled chicken?! It is so delicious, juicy, and perfectly cooked I left completely full and satisfied. Wow. Definitely coming back! So many seatings as well you can enjoy your delicious food

I was nearby at aldi's and wanted a greek salad so this popped up on my yelp search. I placed the order online and it was ready pretty fast. I asked for a modification-no olives and they got it right. The chicken was juicy and overall the salad was pretty tasty. It comes with pita and tzatziki sauce which was also good. I'd like to try falafel next.

    Worth the money I paid!

Food was delicious, atmosphere looked very chill. Not crowded at all. Looks very clran. And tidy. The cashier who took my order very polite and quick. I was starving so that was a plus for me. Def delicious gyro (lamb) and grape leaves. A tad bit pricey. But delicious gyro.

Yelps search for gyro introduced Gryo Jimmy's in Garden City which turned out to be a pleasant treat. This location is on a private road in a strip mall with little to no traffic yet offering ample parking, but this was a Monday. I don't know how parking will be for remainder of the week. Stepping inside of Gryo Jimmy's you can see that fast food casual ambiance. I loved the picturesque aesthetics as well. The dining area was immaculate and spacious offering some beautiful booth type seatting (Pictured) as well as regular seating. We were given a heartfelt hello and smile that was filled with gratitude from the gentleman and young lady that was behind the register. Looking over the menu was just a practice because we were predetermined to get a gyro. I chose a chicken gyro while my plus 1 chose the traditional gyro. We both had fries and the white sauce. At the end of ordering ordered, the young lady was kind and patient enough to ask if we wanted something else. She was not rushing us nor did she curtail the process of us ordering. She did take control of the sale by closing the sale with a confirmation of our order and threw in her suggestive selling tactics on the French fries. She remained in control by telling us to have a seat and informed us that she'd bring the order to our table. Our order came on beautiful wooden trays. Presentation is delivered sir/ ma'am! The chicken gyro was my first ever and I found it has taste worthy of praise. It was really delicious, PACKED with... Did you read that.. packed with sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and cucumber. This was very filling! My plus one enjoyed the traditional gyro that was packed as well. The dining experience went well excluding the guy that sat next to me blowing his nose, UGH! At the end of our service we were trying to figure out if we needed to take our trays up and dump them or put them on the table. The gentleman that was originally behind the counter came and took both our trays. With grace, he bid us adieu. Gratitude noted. Impact stamped. Inspire more. Yelp more.

I ordered through Seamless for pickup, and the experience wasn't great. There was an internet issue, so my order wasn't ready when I arrived. That wasn't a problem, but while waiting, I noticed a few things that concerned me. One person in the back was handling meat without gloves, and the kitchen tiles looked dirty. With an open kitchen setup, cleanliness really stands out, and this didn't leave a good impression. The gyro itself was tasty, and guy that was on break when I arrived , get off break , wash his hands and put gloves one . The other guy I don't know what he was thinking . The meat and portions where fair and the Jimmy secret sauc tasted mostly like mayo and ketchup -- fine, but not the best match for a gyro maybe just the fries .

Stopped into Gyro Jimmy's in Garden City with my plus one, and we both walked out happy and full. I ordered the traditional gyro with French fries and paired it with a Snapple Peach Tea, very simple, classic, and exactly what I was craving for today. The gyro was well stuffed with tender, flavorful meat and fresh toppings. The pita held up nicely without getting soggy, which is always a plus for me. The fries were crisp, hot, and seasoned just right, dipping or snacking on their own. Service was friendly and efficient, even during a busy lunch time. The place feels casual and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed lunch. Overall, Gyro Jimmy's hits the spot if you're in the mood for a solid, satisfying gyro meal.

Hidden in a strip mall off the beaten path, we have Gyro Jimmy's. We were doing some shopping and decided to drop in for a weekday lunch. Ambience: clean and brightly lit. Fast casual style like a chipotle or pizzeria. Food: Falafel - crispy and crunchy on the outside, moist and hot on the inside. One of the better falafels I've had in a while. 5/5 Pork Gyro - well seasoned chunks of pork. I would have preferred a little more fat on it, but to each their own. 4/5

I came in for a lunch special, and ordering at the counter didn't take too long to get the order. I did get gyro meat with pita, which was not together in a sandwich as I expected. It came with fries, tzatziki sauce, and ketchup for a complete meal. I got it to go, but there were plenty of tables for people to eat inside. It was a very filling lunch and the gyro/pita was good. The fries were a little soft. I would say it's a decent place to get some Greek food.

Came here on a god friends recommendation and holy cow. The food rivals that of Astoria's. The gyro is legit. Not those strips you buy from a food distributor. The seasoning is incredible. Tried the pork and chicken souvlaki and was hoping they weren't dried out as they tend to get dry and chewy. These were amazing. Freshly made, juicy and super flavorful. Service was amazing and the staff know all the regulars. Will be coming back here way more often. They do lunch specials for around $12 and you'll leave really full. Avgemono soup is legit. Not thickened with starch or flour. It's thin like it should be and super bright with lemon and chicken. Loaded with orzo. Highly recommend this spot. The spot itself is super clean and the bathrooms are immaculate.

Gyro Jimmy's is the friendliest place with the best gyros you will have here on the island. We have been customers for over a year sometimes visiting more than once per week and the food never disappoints. The consistently is remarkable. The staff and owner are super friendly and the place is very very clean. We truly love it here. If you're in the area, be sure to give them a try! They are in the same plaza where QZar is!!

I'm almost hesitant to brag about this place - I love it so much I want to keep it all to myself but truly they deserve all the recognition. The food and service is 10/10. My favorite gyro I have ever had whether traditional or chicken. My favorite is the "plates". The food is so fresh i never feel gross after eating here. They give so much for the price. And always take out from here it's my favorite take out but the seating area is very modern, clean and nice.

I opted for the lentil soup. They started us off with complimentary pita and tzatziki dipping sauce. The sauce was so yummy and very fresh. I actually took the rest of the leftovers home and used it for a few days in a variety of dishes I made. The soup was okay. My grandma got the lemon and chicken soup and it was very lemony and salty. Our food was taking a bit of time considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, I think the server was distracted by wrapping the utensils for tables. She came to take our finished soups. And the food finally came out, huge portions. My gyro was covered with lettuce cuts but not the freshest lettuce. The server was kind of slow for only have two tables. The ambience was nice. We ordered a lot and the portions are generous, so we had plenty of leftovers. The staff were kind and the standout dishes for me were their appetizers: the octopus appetizer and the crab cakes. Both were delicious and I highly recommend. I feel like sometimes I find the way restaurants cook octopus lacking, but I really loved the way they did it. Crab cakes were similarly so good. Four stars because some of the entrees didn't wow me as much (e.g., the moussaka, pasticcio platter) and the soups that were sides were solid but nothing I'd go out of the way. Overall, a great option in the area.

We shared the cold dip sampler (taramasalata, babaganoush, tzatziki) and crispy eggplant and zucchini chips. Highly recommend both...the picky eater at the table (who literally eats no vegetables) couldn't stop eating the chips. Rave reviews of the Alaskan halibut and the pork chop. I had the Rocca avocado salad with grilled chicken. Again-excellent! Dessert? Chocolate mousse and custard - I tasted both and loved each option. The mousse was somehow rich, dark...yet "light" at the same time. The custard was warm and had a thin layer of phyllo dough with a drizzle of honey sauce. We arrived when it wasn't too busy on a week night; I'd recommend reservations on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

We started out strong with the crusty bread and feta spread (complimentary), but moving on from there everything was just mediocre. The spanakopita was tasty and I like the bigger chunks of spinach and feta, but the phyllo was soggy. The fried eggplant/zucchini crisp were fried well, but the seasoning wasn't distributed well. Some pieces were heavily seasoned and others were bland. The sauce was just ok, and for the price the portion was small compared to other Greek restaurants. We ordered a whole sea bass with lots of sides ( Horta, Orzo, and Greek Fries). The fish came out looking pretty promising, and it was fresh, but was sorely overcooked. For the price charged, and for a Greek restaurant, I expected the fish to be on point. While studded with capers, the fish was also under seasoned so you were forced to use the weak beurre blanc. I would have much preferred some good olive oil, salt, and herbs. The orzo in tomato sauce was tasty but tasted like an Italian dish. The Greek fries came out and to our surprise had no feta on it. I've personally never had Greek fries that came without feta. They were more Belgium styled fries, dusted with oregano and other dried herbs. It was fine, but just not Greek fries. The Horta was fresh but like the appetizer, the seasoning wasn't well distributed. There were pockets with lots of salt and while other bites landed bland. We walked out with a $170 check, ordering one beer and soda. For that kind of price, the food was not up to par with upscale Greek places. In short, Plori is just really overpriced mid Greek style food. I much rather hit up Astoria for some good Greek cuisine, or go down the street to Tasty Greek for some kebabs. Yes, the ambience was nice, but the price is just outrageous for what we had. PS the valet is also a scam. We tipped the man and he simply handed us our car keys and had us pick up our own car. Why do valet in a small lot if you're not going to valet my car? So odd, but I guess it's on brand with the restaurant. Lots of show, poor execution.

I'll start by saying that aesthetically, everything looks amazing and the portions are huge. The menu is interesting. There wasn't SO much that I wanted (a strange amount of Panko-breaded options) but ultimately settled on the Pegasus wrap (which I see now isn't even on the menu on the website but is orderable?). It's essentially a lamb gyro wrap with French fries, onions, and spicy feta sauce. The lamb gyro I felt was a bit lacking in both seasoning and amount. I'll never really support raw onions in a dish, so that was a bummer. But what I think really ruined this wrap for me was the spicy feta sauce. I'm not totally sure the thought process behind this choice, but it doesn't work for this combination of ingredients. And I can handle spicy pretty well but this was really quite spicy. I would have much preferred a normal feta/tzatziki combo. And the French fries in every wrap/sandwich is a choice and kind of overpowered the other ingredients. That being said, I would consider going back for something else on the menu because the prices (especially for the portion) is nice.
