We got the chicken biryani and I had a kebab roll and for me I wanted a Karachi style kebab roll which cannot be made with a seekh kebab and a naan... that is a DIY meal I would make after a dawaat. We had once tried their iftaar buffet and really enjoyed yet so we thought we'd give regular items a try today. The food was truly delicious and would love to go back again. We will definitely tell others to come. The mixed grill was good but it was only chicken. The mutton biriyani was kind of dry for me but it wasn't the best we had for Paki biriyanis. We will try chicken next time. The best part of the meal was the mutton fry. OMG it was the bomb with lacha parantha. All the food was carefully made and hard work was put into it. Heard this spot recently opened so my family & I wanted to check it out. They have a small parking lot next to the restaurant which is helpful parking wise. Interior lghting is like a strip club, lol. First off, this is a restaurant that caters to carnivores mainly. Their menu is 95% meat based items. They have daal, bhindi, aloo dish & vegetable biryani as veggie options. Also, they have no appetizers. We ordered butter chicken, Chilli chicken & they were both pretty good but overly expensive at $16 a plate. My vegetarian family members ordered dal & 5 mins later the server came out & said "sorry, no daal", then they ordered bhindi & 5 mins later server comes out & says "sorry, no bhindi"- frustrating! The veggie dishes they did have were vegetable biryani which was just ok nothing to rave about. The aloo bhujia was also just plain & nothing special. The chicken dishes were $16 a plate & def not worth it at that price point. It's more curry than chicken. The standout was their naan which were pillowy & delicious. What we tried: *Mix Tandoori Grill Platter *Garlic Naan * (مندي) is a dish that originated from Yemen consisting mainly of rice with a special blend of spices and roasted nuts and of course, tender pull apart lamb shank. *Chicken Biryani *Chicken 65 I'd like to start off by saying , this has to be one of the best new e've tried in a while. Each dish showcased its distinct spice and flavor profile while not compromising on tenderness and/or juiciness. The Laham Mandi was a new dish for me and I was impressed with how bold and accentuating the rice was. The fall off the bone lamb was not overwhelming in the slightest in terms of gaminess and I thoroughly appreciated that. Although the chicken biryani is seasonably flavored, it is accompanied with a raw-spiced marinade to use at your discretion along with raita and green mint chutney. The Chicken65 was a personal favorite. The flavor profile of the tandoori based chicken is unique and packed with different aromas that encapsulate your senses. And to top it off we had some authentic hydrabadi desserts. This is the first time I've tried khubani ka meetha which is made from apricots with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy and has a jam like consistency. We also had Shahi tukda which was rich in flavor and hit all the notes of a royal dessert Lastly, I'd like to note that their decor is absolutely commendable. The garlic Naan was good. The chicken murgh serving size was very small and had a weird flavor to it, but the chicken pieces were soft and tender. The mutton biriyani was flavorless, at least from what I could tell from the 2 spoons I had. When I notified the server about the hair in my food, he quickly took it away, almost like this has happened previously with other customers. We stumbled upon Jazeera via Google and were blown away by the taste and service! We ordered the haleem, the chicken biryani, and chole. We haven't tasted haleem this good outside of Hyderabad . The chicken biryani was well-balanced, highly recommend mixing the salan gravy with it to experience the full breadth of its flavor. The chole curry was rich and hit the spot. We really wish we ordered more food for the road! Another bonus: they pack their hot meals in aluminum instead of plastic - which means less toxins leaking into your food. I am from the west coast and was on a work trip to NY when one of my friend suggested this place. Though it was a good 45 mins drive from Manhattan, it was well worth the trip.
