About two years ago, we had a loaner for the day while our car was being serviced. We forgot to return the keys to the loaner but didn't realize it until we got home to Lake Stevens (and found the keys in my pocket). I called the dealership to explain my error and Dyan offered to come get the keys since she lived nearby. Not many people would go the extra mile -- literally -- but Dyan did. I had been meaning to write this review for awhile; my partner and I began exploring options for a new vehicle in early January. We knew we wanted to get another Mazda (she was currently in a 2010 Mazda3) and utilized the Costco Auto Program which ultimately connected us with Mazda of Everett ("MOE"). A day after filling out the form on Costco's website, Cindy from MOE reached out to us via email and set up time to come in and look at the models we were considering - the CX-30 and CX-5. Once we got there we were introduced to the sales manager, Joe, who was super welcoming and friendly. We had mentioned our desire to go for a test drive and Joe immediately said "let's do it!" and within a few minutes gave us the keys to a CX-30. When we got in the car we asked if he was coming and he said "No you guys can do your thing, come back whenever." It may seem like a little thing but I thought that was very cool of MOE to allow us to drive the car privately and at our leisure. Once we got back, Joe went over special Costco member pricing on the CX-30 as well as on the CX-5 as we noticed the discount was larger and all-in the price was only a thousand-ish more. The whole time the MOE team was very cordial and laid-back; at no time did I feel any pressure to buy that day. We went home and discussed our options, eventually coming back 2 weeks later to purchase a 2025 CX-5 Preferred trim. This was my first buying experience but the whole process went smooth and I am thankful for the entire MOE who helped us. The only reason I am taking a star off is for their accessories pricing. I came back 2-3 weeks after our purchase to get our WA state license plate and mentioned I'd like to purchase the cargo all-weather floor mat + cargo cover. Both pieces were $50-100 over the MSRP listed on Mazda's website. In fairness it's partially my fault. I didn't question the price at the time because I had a coupon, but I don't think nickel-and-diming customers on accessories is a great look. Either way, this dealership is excellent. Both Cindy and Joe were a pleasure to work with and I will go back to them whenever I need to purchase another Mazda (but might skip out on the accessories haha). read more

I went in because my key fob was going through batteries. Guy at the desk was zero help. Said he had never heard of this problem. He said it had to be inferior batteries as this isn't a problem that can happen. Also said that all of the online instructions to reprogram the fob online were fake and that there is no way for a key fob to become unprogrammed. I am not sure what to think. I was told by the person I scheduled with that if the two key fobs were stored together the batteries would drain each other. Service told me that they didn't know what they were talking about. I am left wondering who was giving me bad information. Update: after losing my temper and apologizing, the service rep did use my warranty and get me a new fob. I would give him a 3 star for the final outcome. They don't keep calipers on hand to do my car's brakes but that isn't his fault. I went in for fob issues and they replaced it. All I can say is hopefully it will solve the problem of replacing the batteries every month which apparently isn't a problem that anyone else has had ever. read more

We bought a car at the end of March. We have been trying to get the license plates. The license and title agent who they said would assist has not responded to 5 phone messages and 2 emails. I reached out to the sales department who said they would have her call. When she did call Back, she said she couldn't find our information in their files and she has been non-responsive since. Waited one week to get our RX-8 in for service and were told to drive it in the night before. (Oct 16th) No loaner cars available. Oct 17th we wanted the break fluid flushed and the code that showed up at our oil change fixed. Code P0441 Replace Evaporative Emissions Purge Solenoid done. I called 4 times during the day, was told someone would call me back and that the car was in diagnostics at noon. ??? No one ever called back. Finally at 4:45pm I asked for the Service Manager , and was told he was not there and left early. Was transferred to someone else, and I was upset with the lack of service. I tried to explain but guy "Matt???' kept talking over me--telling me their business was busy and that I was being rude---So Just come and pick up the car---We will leave it outside!! All while I am listening to their ad:: We treat you like family and we know your time is valuable!!!!!!!! Treated horribly, will never go back and never recommend this terrible place. The experience of getting a car and the service from the staff was off the charts amazing. Everything negative I have to say with this place involves my time wasted with the car wash area. When picking up our licenses plates, we were told to go to the car wash area for installation and get a free car wash. While waiting for 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us we noticed a group of guys washing cars with a vibe of a neighbor hang out and not like a job at a dealership. If your going to wash cars in front of customers maybe act a little more professional. Also on a little more upsetting note. noticed a worker who may have drove his own personal vehicle and washed it himself and just drove away. Not something you really want to see when you've been waiting. All the praise for dealership, best experience in purchasing a car in my life and I hope the problems I encountered can sort themselves out. One last thing. Went over everything and sent it to me in writing. Seth, our Service Rep was amazing, explaining everything but with zero condescension, gave me space to ask questions. Well here we are again fellow Yelpers. I find myself in a position to rate a car dealer. You all know what that means. Yes this time we bought a 2024 Mazda CX5 Turbo Carbon Edition. Traded in our 21 Honda. Let me tell you this Mazda is well put together. I'm rating the dealer though. Mazda of Everett is located on Highway 99 out of the city limits. Mrs Billy D has been doing her research and scheduled a test drive. We were met by Bob Hunt who was our sales guy. Super nice. Former Marine so he's good to go. He took us through various models with different features. There was no sales pressure at all. Everything was at our pace. There wasn't any money talk until we decided to buy. We didn't even test drive the model we initially wanted to see. We settled on a CX5 because it's larger and more well appointed than the CX50. Then we walked into the show room and Mrs BD sees this Carbon Turbo CX5. Well that was it. We communicated with Bob and came the next day to do the deal. The purchase process was streamlined and quick. Tom was the finance man and was prepared which made me happy. Nothing I hate more than sitting in a dealership for hours. I think all together it was close to 2 hours. We were given free oil changes plus a reasonably priced extended warranty. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a ton of cars in all models but the bulk of them is the CX line. Mazda has upped their game and the folks at Mazda of Everett are there to help. Wanted to give a little update here: I should note that the first issue we had was actually with the fuel system and this was an issue that we noted within the first month of owning the vehicle. There was a smell of gas after filling the tank, there was no apparent leak but it registered an emissions error so we replaced the gas tank cap which didn't seem to resolve the problem. Our mechanic found that something had actually chewed away at a part of the fuel line so he replaced that for us. We are hoping that we have no more major issues with this vehicle for the next few years. Feeling a bit duped especially after trusting this dealer in the past but have since lost all confidence in this dealership. Maybe, the warranty would have saved us - but it would not have prevented the complete breakdown of the vehicle that occurred and the extremely dangerous circumstance that could have put us in. New transmission (updated to include tax): $7,826 Fuel system repair: $557 Towing cost: $150 That's a grand total of $8,533 spent in repairs for a car with only 60k in less than a year of ownership! read more

After my 1st test drive was over, he simply asked if we would be interested in buying, but I wasn't sure at that time so I told him not yet but I will make a decision within a month. I purchased my CX50 here. People I met with Frank(Sales), Emma(Parts) and Adam(Finance). All of them were amazing. I did my research and went, so that I could catch them if they tried to pull a fast one on me. However, Frank was very frank :D and transparent. He was patient with my questions and showed me all the options that were on the table. He gave me discounts where he could and stood his ground when he couldn't budge anymore. It was a pleasure working with him. I would recommend going to Frank if you need a new Mazda and you're shopping for one. Emma was also upfront like the rest of the folks. Some of accessories I was planning on buying showed a different lesser price on Mazda official website, so she was quick to correct them and give me the right price. I admire her work ethics. Adam was very straight and to the point. He did try to sell me some of the service the dealership offered, but wasn't too pushy when I said no. I only wish they just gave me the right price to start with instead of me having to haggle over the price. I am shocked this place has decent reviews. Never had a good interaction with them. They gave me nothing for my trade in, it at least should have been worth scrap metal. Paid for a new car in cash. That car was somehow lost. Tried to get me to get a car I didn't want. When I refused they miraculously found the one. They never put in the paper work for me to get the title. Called at least 15 times and they said they would get to it. After 3 years just reported a lost title to the WA DoL. I was told I had free oil changes for life during negotiations. No record of that. Took several phone calls to resolve. Everything was so much more work than it should be. I was just paying cash for a new car. Should have been easy. Excellent Experience! We recently had our 2016 Mazda CX-5 fixed at Mazda of Everett. We reserved a loaner car while our car was worked on. The whole process was fabulous. I'm not one for giving 5 star reviews but Mazda of Everett deserves it. Dyan was great. She kept me informed via text and email every step of the way, I even got a video texted to me to show me what was good and what needed fixing. It was clearly described by the mechanic. My doctors office is more flexible with appointments than this dealership. I called in and mentioned I would be 30 mins late to the appointment. They don't have loaners available for another month, so I was expecting the max wait time to be 4 hours as mentioned earlier. Mr Rico unapologetically added a penalty of an extra hour just because I came in late. I felt like I was dealing with someone at government office rather than a customer at dealership. I'd suggest NOT to use this dealership if you're the first time car buyer or don't know much about the buying process. My son purchased the new car from this dealership and didn't get detailed explanation on the loan contract that he signed. If you're someone who is thorough, you'd ask what every single numbers on the paper stand for. But he didn't, i know it's partly his fault. But at the same time I feel you'd explain what is on the paper when presenting, at least that would be a good customer service. There were trade in value different from what my son thought, and service contract and Gap that were added but never explained. Since we thought the loan paperwork needed to be redone, we went into the dealership the next day and asked to reinstate. They said the loan has already been funded, so you can't reinstate. They can cancel the service contract of $2600 and/or Gap of $895 but the amount of monthly payments can't change. Just the loan term will shorten a few months. And the employees still went on and on about how my son really needs this extra warranty that overlaps with manufacture warranty and Gap for in case his car is total. FYI: my son's credit score which is over 700 gave him 7.19%. As you might know, the dealership finance dept is a middle man who can add however the % rate on top of what the customer is qualified for. They finance with Chase. Chase doesn't reveal anything with you if your loan application was filed through dealerships. So I encourage everyone to get your own loan from BECU or other banks who have good rates for you. One last thing, I emailed the owner about what happened since we felt our son was totally taken advantaged of. He didn't return email or phone call. We even went to the dealership the next day at 1 pm which is the time we're told the owner will be in, he didn't show up. read more
