Tim Dixon at Dougs Lynnwood Mazda is AMAZING! I was looking for a new car and had done a lot of research online. It seemed as though the Mazda CX-3 was always ranked in the top 3 consistently. After I had some not so great service from a different dealership, I looked online to find the color and trim I was looking for from somewhere else. I found two on the Lynnwood website that fit the bill and the minute I asked for information, Kat got back to me right away! I was there later that day, with my dad, and was happily greeted by Kat, her son Tim and the new "green bean"! Up front there was absolutely no pressure from anyone and we could spend as little or as much time looking at everything. My dad asked all of the hard-hitting questions, however, Tim was always willing to eat his words or find a suitable explanation to anything we asked. We first looked at the Touring model in the lighter blue with the sunroof and Bose speaker package. It was super nice, but the seats were set kind of weird and the lighting was off because it was a display car. We then looked at the darker blue Grand Touring model with heated steering wheel (REALLY liked that!) and the head up display (meh). My dad and I were also offered to test drive by ourselves (not what the other dealership did!) It was great having my dad in the car to view it from his perspective. We even had time to talk about it in the parking lot and were again greeted by Tim and the green bean to ask how it went. Honestly it drove fabulously, the biggest issue I had was the head up display. After test driving the Grand Touring, I wanted to see the lighter blue Touring trim, and again they were very accommodating. I adjusted the seats and played around with the inside and was very happy with how I felt in it after that. We then crunched some numbers, with lots of back and forth between giving me a quote for the touring model and the grand touring model. And I eventually decided the touring model was the one for me. It was my original gut feeling trim that I really liked. And the lighter blue, though not my original intent is an awesome blue color! Though I will miss the heated steering wheel and a couple other cool features, the price was just too much for the grand touring, at least for my budget. And as I've been driving my touring model for about 4 days now, I am completely happy with my decision! It has everything I was looking for, and more! Once I officially made my decision and really narrowed down what accessories I wanted, Kat was so sweet and brought out little cat pens!! They probably didn't cost much but it's the little things and I already have many people asking me where I got them! And the finance part, which is always the most daunting, was handled very well. John said he was newer to the position, but he definitely knew what he was doing. He was very willing to go over what all of the extra fees were and the warranty options and was no pressure when I exclaimed I would decline a few things. He was very upfront about what he saw the rate coming back as, but when I came in the next day to pick up my car, my percentage rate was a steal and it was smooth sailing to the finish line. They had my car waiting inside with the all weather mats applied and the car and tires were squeaky clean! We had a few last laughs, another thank you and then I was heading off! Before I left I forgot I hadn't applied my new insurance and Tim was kind enough to help me figure that out and allow me to play with a few buttons, set up Bluetooth and just settle in to my new ride before I headed off officially. Overall my experience here was night and day to what I experienced at another dealership. Although I paid more in taxes by going to another city and I had to drive through almost an hours worth of traffic to see the vehicles, I would do it all again to have the service I had! 10/10. I bought my 2014 ford focus in October from Joe. I did a lot of looking at other dealerships but I knew exactly what car I wanted. After leaving one dealership furious & unsatisfied, I went home & looked online & found Doug's. I saw that they had a focus for sale. It was newer than they other cars I looked at & it was the titanium edition. The next day, I headed over to see what they had to offer. My mom & I were instantly greeted by Joe & he pulled up the car I saw online. I instantly fell in love. I took it for a spin & loved it even more. Joe worked with me to make sure I stayed within my budget. He listened to my needs & showed me a few other cars that were even below my budget. But still I knew the focus was the car for me. A few hours after I drove my car home, the dreaded check engine light came on. I took it back to Doug's the next day to have it looked at & they put me in a loaner car. I was expecting to be in the loaner for only the day. But a day turned into a week & the week turned into nearly a month. My car was sent off to the Ford garage to get looked at. As a first time car buyer, I was stressed & beyond frustrated. It was nice driving a brand spankin new Mazda around but it wasn't the car I bought. Through all the stress & frustration, Joe called me almost every day to give me updates on the progress & what ford was doing to fix my car. Joe constantly thanked me for my patience & he told me he was going to compensate me for the inconvenience. By the time I finally got my car back, I got new spark plugs, fuel injectors, & a new transmission clutch... at no cost to me. Not to mention, Doug's made my first car payment for me! Although it was not the ideal situation when buying a new car, Joe made everything right for me. I am now happily driving my car around with zero problems whatsoever. Joe gave me a call today, almost a month after I got my car back just to check up on me & see how everything is going with the car. I was so happy to hear from him. He is not the typical car salesman stereotype, but actually a truly genuine guy & someone I consider a friend. Mazda is a great brand, but Dougs Lynnwood Mazda dealership? Painful experience, very poor buying experience before and after. Everyone from the sales guy to the owners son lies and is super rude especially to women. Don't buy their titanium plus warranty. I did along with my newly leased vehicle after the sales manager Jon Seely sold it heavily: it's only $4 more a month, your insurance rates won't go up for claims covered in the warranty, the fob and wheels and rims are expensive and everyone I know buys this warranty. You only have 24 hours to decide. Super pushy. Full of fluffed up bullshit. Call the customer service number in warranty contract and after providing them my company contract number, vin, full name and address they cannot find my contract. Call the dealership multiple times and get voicemails. Finally got ahold of John Browning and said he would figure it out and call me later in the day. 3 days later no follow up. So basically I financed and paying for a contract that they can't find and under which I can't file a claim under? Buyer beware that is bad business. Finally get things away after calling 3 more times and getting never a call back each time as promised, I speak to Chanel in finance who only confirms the warranty is covered on their end. Well it's troubling the warranty company can not verify me. She then proceeded to tell me it's not her job to know the rest. I had to speak to service who told me it takes 10 days for the process of a rim repair. 10 days without a car. To make matters worse the service guy Ken was super annoyed I even called. And tried to talk me out of getting the necessary repairs. Oh your call will be outside and there's tons of construction it will be dirty. Oh thanks a lot bhozo. Thanks for the great attitude of lack Thereof! I guess I'll drive my brand new car around with scrapped up rims. Well once my lease is up, I can say Mazda who? What do you mean? I drive a Mercedes. It may happen sooner than later as I know a lot of dealerships who can let me out of this trash dump customer service oriented filth. read more

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our car shopping experience at Doug's Lynnwood Mazda this past weekend. We did our research on Edmunds.com, knew what we wanted based on other Craigslist postings/test drives, and printed out the KBB.com information with estimated values for the MPV we wanted and the car we were trading in. We called ahead to schedule a test drive and we were treated as guests when we arrived. Our salesman, Bob Wyner was courteous and helpful throughout our entire buying experience. Never once did we feel pressured to look at cars we weren't interested in, or cars that were above our price range. He gave us the time we needed to inspect the car maticulously, time for each of us to test drive it, and time to talk privately throughout our experience with him. He happily printed a carfax report for us and was available to answer our questions. In evaluating our trade in, Bob was respectful and complimentary. My husband and I both felt that he was genuinely an all around nice guy, and we were so pleased to do business with him. The negotiating process was reasonable and we feel that we reached a deal that was fair, thanks to our KBB print outs in hand. We were grateful that we left the kids with grandma, because all the paperwork necessary to purchase a car is time consuming. Bob was very helpful to move things along as quickly as possible, and the financing paperwork was less of a chore because of the friendliness of the finance manager, Allen Jackson. We understood our warrenty options and went with the smallest package. (Great deal. No buyers remorse.) The van was cleaned and ready for us in good time. While they were preping it for us they discovered that some water had affected a couple spark plugs, which they replaced for us at no charge. The dealership impressed us and we felt we were treated well. We recommend that you contact Bob Wyner and schedule a test drive. When I first called, the salesperson mentioned that the car I was interested in did not have Apple Carplay, and that I'd have to spend $400 to get that added. I was still interested since it was still potentially within my budget. Kat Kingsley called me back saying that the 2018 Mazda 6 did have Apple Carplay. The test drive with Sarah Day went really well. She was a great listener, and she gave us the exact information we wanted. She seemed to have a keen sense about what the customer was looking for and answered all our questions perfectly. Interacting with Sarah also put my worries at ease that the salesperson might not be knowledgeable enough. I cannot say that about my other recent dealership experiences. There were some complications - my fault - I forgot my driver's license, we didn't bring the title, and I didn't realize you wouldn't take a credit or debit card for the full amount. I'll skip details, but I went in ready to take a credit inquiry hit (we're home shopping) in order to pay via personal check. Sarah took it upon herself to find a better solution, and we did successfully! I went in at 9:40am the next morning to conclude the transaction, which was much earlier than I indicated I would. Sarah still made that work, scrambling to make sure the car would be ready on time. Again, she made sure I had all the information I needed before driving off. We went into considerable detail around the touchscreen features. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Kat K or Sarah D. After finalizing the deal, the closing manager took longer than I hoped, with unnecessary upsells being offered, but overall, my best experience at a car dealership so far. read more

I went into Lynnwood Mazda to see John Browning, I was really nervous since I haven't bought anything since my husband passed away 10 years ago. He was so patient and went through every car that would fit my budget, I am on a fixed income and can only afford so much. John found me a beautiful 2015 Chevy Cruze with only 38,000 miles, he said he thought this would be the best one for me because it is big enough for me to fit my grand kids in while still being covered by the factory drive train warranty as well as the fuel economy (26/39 MPG). When I started to cry John stopped the whole process and told me that if I wasn't comfortable that I didn't have to buy, I told him that these were tears of joy, I was just so relieved that I was finally going to have a car that was going to be reliable and wasn't going to keep nickel and dimeing me to death. I would recommend anybody that is going to look for a new car to go see John, I'm sending my daughter in this week since she is pregnant and is going to need a bigger car. After the sale was over I went into the finance office and talked to Tony Vu who was incredible, he took his time with me and made sure that all of the questions I had as far as the financing were concerned were clearly answered. As soon as I was done talking to Tony John helped me clear all of the stuff out of my old car and load it into my new one. I went in to have my oil pan replaced in March as the plug threads were stripped. They gave me call saying it looked pretty new and asked if I was sure I wanted it replaced. I told them to check the threads on the plug and if they were indeed stripped, go ahead and replace it. They replaced the oil pan and told me it was ready, saying the threads were stripped. I picked up the car and started to remember that maybe I did already have it replaced. I did some digging and realized I did replace it 9 months ago. An embarrassing memory lapse, yes, but I was MORE frustrated by the fact that I just paid $600+ to replace a new oil pan. I called them back, confused as to how the threads could be messed up on this NEW oil pan. I picked up the original oil pan from the dealership, took it to the original garage that replaced it, and watched him completely screw and unscrew the plug with no problem! I called the dealership back and they immediately changed their story, saying the threads were "slightly worn" and they had clear written direction from me to replace the oil pan. I told them very clearly, "do not change the oil pan unless the threads are stripped". They LIED to me and said they were stripped and then changed their story after I called them on it. I talked with everyone in the chain of command up to the manager of the parts & service department. They eventually gave me a partial refund on the parts, but far from what I spent on a completely unnecessary part replacement. I felt deceived and will never go to this or any Hyundai dealership again. read more

I bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee from these guys a couple weeks ago. I dealt with Matt and John and they were both very nice and helpful. I didn't expect the kind of treatment I got from these guys. First let me start by saying that I called Matt and expressed interest in Jeeps so he drove all the way out to Everett to pick me up so I wouldn't have to take a cab. While checking out the Jeeps they had there I had decided I would either get the Commander or the Grand Cherokee. Matt broke it down for me and gave his recommendation for me to get the Grand Cherokee even though he could have gotten a little more money out of me for the Commander. While waiting for John to get things straightened out with my financing Matt went to the nearby burger shop and bought me a burger and fries. When it was all said and done I drove my new Jeep off the lot (with a full tank of gas) and was completely satisfied. But it gets better! I got a call from John about a week after the fact and he told me that while he was waiting for my loan to go through he continued looking for better rates for me. He said he found one for 4% interest which is INCREDIBLE considering I have NO CREDIT! These guys were awesome and I will definitely be recommending them to any friends who are looking to buy a car. My first contact with Doug's Mazda was Rose in their Internet Sales Dept. She very informative and helpful. My husband and I made an appointment to come into the dealership to look at vehicles. She met us at the appointed time with a warm smile, a welcoming demeanor. After a short discussion she introduced us to Alberto our sales consultant. We told him there were a few car dealerships we would be looking at on that day and that Doug's Mazda was our first stop. He was charming and extremely helpful, with no high pressure tactics. We ended up going to three other dealerships that day. The last two were the worst car experience we'd ever had. Finally, we called Alberto back and begged for his help. When we arrived at Doug's, he welcomed us as old friends and had cars pulled ready for us to consider. When we decided on the right car at the right price, Alberto, along with all of the showroom team came together quickly to complete our purchase. The worst thing about buying a car is the financing process, this time it was great. This finance team, was top notch, fast and efficient. I recently lost my first Mazda 3 back in January due to a car accident. Upon starting to search for new cars, I immediately knew I wanted to look at Mazda's. I checked out the inventory that Everett Mazda had but Doug's Lynnwood Mazda seemed to have a bigger variety (at least pertaining to what I was looking for.) I got in contact with John Browning there and set up an appointment for a test drive. My mother and I showed up early and John was ready and willing to get started with us! He was very knowledgeable about the car, and about current sign up incentives and other ways to save (because who doesn't wanna save $$$?) I firmly believe if my salesman hadn't been John, I might've kept looking around. I was already kinda set on that car and he just made it easier to make that decision. My wife and I had the absolute best buying experience over the weekend. Agi is incredible and we will forever refer anyone we know to her. On the heels of a very off-putting, pressure filled experience at another dealership, Agi and Doug's was the complete opposite. She let us ask the questions we wanted to ask, she gave us plenty of breathing room (so-to-speak) to think and talk about our decision, and she made sure things on their end moved efficiently. Beyond that, she is also a great person to chat with and spend all of the downtime around. Though efficient, the car buying process can be dull at times, but Agi made sure it never felt that way. She wasn't entirely alone in that as Kat with whom she share's an office, and Chris in financing both were equally as great and memorable to interact with. It turns out that my dad bought his first two new cars from Doug's back in the 70s, and maybe one day (years down the road) our son will make us a three generation Doug's family. We certainly will be back. The entire staff and the dealership itself play into that decision, but Agi alone is well worth the experience. read more

I hadd the pleasure of working with Alberto Reyes Cruz, a sales representative for Doug's Mazda. From the beginning to the conclusion of a purchase, Alberto was attentive, not overly agressive and most helpful and patient with me because I had never owned a Mazda. My car at the time was deemed a total loss by my insurance company so it was time to make a change. I wanted a smaller SUV, safety systems and using less gas. I am enjoying the Mazda CX-5 and learning the new vocabulary and special features of the SuV. Alberto solved many questions for me and I am going to have a second meeting with him this coming Monday to expand my knowledge. He was always patient as I went through the insurance process and in receipt of the check for the Total Loss payment for the value of the SUV. I am in the business of working with all kinds of different people and Alberto was really good at what he does, worked well with the other staff members and was understanding of my situation that was a tough pilll to swallow. Absolutely the BEST customer service I have EVER experienced. I found a car on their online site I really liked and decided to send an email to see if the vehicle was still available. I received an email moments after from Kat. She was able to answer ever question I had with so much detail. We set up an appointment to met and look over the car in person. Not once did I ever feel like I was being pushed into buying the car that day nor did she ever try to have me look at other more expensive cars there. I was even walked through the the radio system and taught to use the entire dash/electronic system before even leaving the lot for the test drive. The whole experience was very layed back and quite honestly the most relaxing car buying experience of my life. Kat was extremely nice, informative, and so much fun to work with. I ended up buying my Mazda that day and I definitely plan to be a returning customer when the time comes. I have so much more to add but you would be reading for ever. Purchased new Mazda 3 with Total Advantage Maintenance Plan for 5 years of service for $1295. To start, the Sales people "forgot" to print out my maintenance contract that I had paid $1295 for. After 2 visits using this maintenance plan, I found that none of the service persons know what the maintenance plan is. I found that the service persons do not complete all the service stipulated in the contract. For example on March 29, 2014 and September 18, 2014 I went in for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation each time. And each time they failed to do the tire rotation. When I asked them why the service person did not rotate my tires, they said "oh Hyundais, we check the tire tread before making a decision to rotate them." WHAT!? I HAVE A MAZDA , MAZDA ARE MADE WITH 1.5 DEGREES OF CAMBER, THE TIRES HAVE TO BE ROTATED. 6 MONTHS LATER THEY AGAIN FAILED TO ROTATE MY TIRES. THERE IS SOMETHING INHERENTLY WRONG WITH DOUG'S LYNNWOOD MAZDA AT 22130 HIGHWAY 99, EDMONDS WA. NO WONDER THEIR SUPERVISOR ADVISED ME TO GET SERVICE ELSEWHERE. read more
