    Case/ police report number .

This shop has been by far the worst experience i have ever experienced at a mechanic shop . not only did Ron make this experience difficult by delaying work in my car due to other "quick jobs " coming in after my car purposely prioritizing faster jobs to make money rather then working on the cars in order they were brought in my car sat for at least 2 weeks before even getting looked at . Unfortunately after paying for a diagnostic fee $150 the a tear down fee $500 Ron additionally added a "assembly fee" of another $500 when i notified him i wanted to shop around and would not authorize any more work he then said he wouldn't be able to return the car i would HAVE to pay more money there was no other way . after consulting legal advice i was informed this was just not true therefore i called Ron back and asked him to leave the car ready for pickup he could not hold my car hostage and i would be picking up the car the next day . upon arrival the next day Ron was not at the shop and made me wait 2 hours to just change the time to a later time in the day when i was scheduled for work so i could not be there however i had my family pick up the car to which he threatened my mom if your son leaves a bad review of his experience at this shop it will not be the last time you see me because i will not just walk away because i will lose a lot of money . the overall experience for my mother picking up the car was so frightening and intimidating we had to file a police report with riverside police department case / report # - 260013015 negative 4 stars if i could rate this place.

    Oil leak, MB GL 450
    Dan ..

MB Motorworks did a great job on a thorough pre-purchase inspection for me on a 2014 Mercedes Benz GL450 with a twin turbo V8. He got under the hood, under the car, and test drove it for me. He found an oil leak that the dealer had told me came from a recent oil change spill. He went back a second time to help me sort everything out, without me ever actually seeing the car. Very straightforward. Great job. Well worth the money.

    They unsend harassing voice messages

FAKE BUSINESS READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS I was suppose to take my BMW to Ron, he FaceTimed me twice yesterday and left me the same voice messages that the other 1-star reviews also mention. He left an unprofessional voice message HARASSING me after I notified him that I was not taking my vehicle in. These guys are cowards and crooks. And are desperate to take your money. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I lucked out before bringing my car into this shady mechanic. I call and ask if he has availability today for an oil change on my car and he says yes. So far so good. He seemed normal. Then *he asks me* to text him my VIN # bc the dealer wants that info to get the parts. So he texts me and I respond to his text with the required info. I had the appointment set and was going to go there. Then he leaves me a voice note that instructs me to change the settings on MY phone to expire voice notes after 2 minutes. I ask why and what that has to do with anything. Like I just want an oil change. I'm not trying to text you for anything outside of what is required for my car. But it's like a scam artist that doesn't want a paper trail apparently. So after I text him that he calls me and gives me some BS reason of why he doesn't send texts and only voice messages (hello it's 2025 and voice notes are transcribed automatically anyways). Also, I can just take screenshots before it expires so how this makes any difference is beyond me. Furthermore, I never asked to communicate via text as he asked me to text him my VIN # but then gets mad at me. In any case, I basically say no I am not going to change my settings. These settings he's asking me to change apply to all messages not just his, so why would I want to do that. He's like if you want to do business with them I have to do this. Then he hangs up. Clearly I'm not going to do business with this person and I suggest you don't either. There are plenty of mechanics out there, so don't trust your car with this shady business.

Text Flyer and Website showing advertised price

I'd give them a 0 if I could. Dropped off my Benz on Friday for Service B, the flyer they texted me clearly said $295 for turbo or non turbo. They told me to leave it until Saturday and I didn't complain about waiting another day. By 5pm Saturday, I finally hear back and they say it's gonna be an extra $150 just because I have a turbo. I told them both their flyer AND their website say $295. Their excuse? "The Asian guy who does our marketing messed up, we need to update it." That's false advertising. After arguing, the guy finally says his boss told him to honor the price and they'd get a tech on it Sunday. Another wasted day. Monday comes... still nothing. Now they're saying maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Total trash company with zero work ethic.

Clean on the scene and running like a dream Thanks again Ron for taking such good care of me!

If you care about ur BMW or other German import auto as I do mine, then it is imperative to have it serviced and maintained by someone who cares for it in the same fashion and Ron at MB Motorworks is that technician. While replacing the battery for my 2013 BMW 128i at a local dealership, a leaking oil filter housing gasket was discovered and a healthy quote of $1,300+ quickly followed. Not wanting my car serviced at this location, I immediately contacted the BMW dealership I've trusted for repairs on my beloved car in the past. After a few days of stressing, waiting and not hearing back from "my guy" at dealership, I contacted MB Motorworks for a simple quart of oil. I let Ron know details of my gasket woes and how I was worried about needing to make a lengthy commute with the failing gasket. He offered a quick visual inspection and assured he could let me know the severity of the leak. I pulled into garage and was instantly impressed by the organization and cleanliness of his workspace which is always a great first sign. I open the hood and without a second of hesitation Ron let me know how bad the leak was, about how long it seemed to be leaking, and how much longer I could safely drive the car without causing major damage. We discussed how he would go about fixing the leak in great detail and Ron answered every question I had about other maintenance that will be needed in the near future based off what he saw. Conversation over my BMW and other geeky BMW things concluded and I was convinced that this will be the specialist for this repair and all future needs that arise. He added half a quart of oil to the motor free of charge, gently closed the hood and quoted a reasonable $500 for parts and labor, less than half what the ghost at BMW wanted. We agreed to have the work done at my earliest convenience and I left feeling stress free, confident and happy that my cute little car would soon be fixed and running like the champion it's designed to be. After a few days in his care and a quick phone conversation to go over an additional accessory belt replacement I asked to be addressed; I got a call saying my cars service was complete and would be ready when I was. Another friendly, enthusiastic conversation and review of work completed upon my arrival; followed by the delivery of a fair bill for honest work, a quick payment and my BMW 128i is back on the road, driving happier than ever with me behind the wheel feeling the same. Ron really knocked it out of the park for me, first try! I'm happy to have such a skilled technician and honest person in my corner to keep my car running strong. To fix a car, go to a mechanic. To maintain a luxury vehicle, go to a specialist. To save money and for peace of mind, go to MB Motorworks.

Oil and coolant lines Richard asked me to purchase

1 star is too many. Worst experience I've ever had. called and spoke with Richard R. Salcido, the owner. I told him that my turbocharger went out on my 328i BMW. I mentioned that I had found the part and asked how much he charged. He gave me a final out-the-door cost of $1,500 if I purchased the parts; he said payment would need to be cash or Zelle. I said, "Isn't Zelle the same as cash?" He said yes, and I responded, "I will pay you via Zelle when I pick up my vehicle." Richard said, "Ok, that's fine, your car will be ready Friday, 7/26/24, or Monday, 7/29/24." We brought him all of the parts, including a complete turbocharger purchased from and inspected by Napa Auto Parts. Richard checked the parts upon arrival at his repair shop in front of my husband. There were no issues. Three days later, Richard contacted me, stating that he needed additional parts: oil and coolant lines, turbocharger manifold nuts, oil, and coolant. He later called and said he needed a gasket that would cost about $5. All items were purchased and delivered to him. Hours later that day, Richard, the owner, sent me a picture of an old part, not the part delivered to him, and claimed that we delivered a damaged part and now we need to pay an additional $150. I responded, "That is not the part we brought you." Richard began to be very disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. I told him that I would pick up the part to take it back to Napa; he repeatedly refused, stating that he fixed it and it was already installed in my car. Within the same hour, he claimed he had not installed it. One day later, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, Richard sent me another email request stating that an additional piece was missing that could only be purchased from the dealership. The total cost was $45.62. I asked him to pick it up, and I would pay for it; I was at a conference for work. He began harassing me while I was at work, demanding that I call him. When I could not because I was working, he sent me an email saying, "Cash only! If you do not pick up your car, I will start charging you an $85/day storage fee." This was after he stated on Thursday that my car would be ready Friday or Monday. I contacted Richard on Friday around 6 pm. to check on my car, and he stated that my car was not ready. On Sunday, July 28, 2024, when I returned from my conference, I spoke with Richard. He stated my car was ready and I needed to bring $1,545.62 now. He continued, stating that if I didn't, he would charge an $85/day storage fee. I explained that the bank is not open on Sundays, but I could Zelle him the full amount as originally agreed and pick up my car on Sunday. Richard replied, "No, I want cash only, if you don't have it bring it Monday, if you don't bring it, I'm charging you $85/day storage staring after 12pm. On Monday, I went to Richard's shop during my lunch, thinking I could pay him quick and pick up my car. Richard then refused to release my car to me even when I brought cash as he requested. He kept my car locked up in his garage, and when I requested a receipt for the part he picked up for me, he stated he would not provide receipts for parts he purchased although I reimbursed him. My husband and I were completely shocked at how we had been treated by Richard. He switched the new part that we brought him with an old damaged part. As soon as he finally released our vehicle; we drove it to BMW to conduct a full diagnostic to make sure that he had not done anything else to our vehicle. Please beware of MB MOTORWORKS owned and operated by Richard R. Salcido located at: 1710 Palmyrita Ave #1, Riverside, CA 92507

For Christ's Sake!!! What kind of business sends insulting emails to his customers like this??? This is unspeakably unprofessional . I've done business with hundreds of corporates probably and I have never seen this rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable behavior from anyone before. This is seriously new to me. The individual who sent this email is a male and his name is Robert. Listen Mr. Robert: Regardless of what the urgent/emergent reason that would make any of your customers not come to what so called appointment, you shall never send them that kind of emails. Behave with you customers Robert if you would like a chance for your business to grow. Folks, as an advice, in case you need any work done with you BMW/German Car do not go to this mechanic, you'll regret it. If you wanna get your chances go ahead, but I certainly do not recommend it. Attached is a copy of the email sent by the person who is supposed to be in charge of the workshop. His name is Robert.

Johnny was very communicative and accommodating through the whole process of having the oil change, brake fluid change, and vehicle check done on our BMW 328i. There was a leak found and Johnny also took photos of it which I appreciated because a lot of shops will just tell you something needs fixed without providing any real evidence. He was kind enough to work with our limited schedule to get this done and even through in a complimentary fluid top off. The location is safe and clean. I would just be sure to schedule ahead and communicate clearly with the team here to make sure it's a great experience all around.

    Address discounts you name it

I found this place on google while searching for an oil change and called them. They did miss the call the first time but they returned the call almost immediately. They have very good hospitality when it comes to customer service being Im from Texas. They have good first time customer deals as well so the value in everything here is top tier

He said he could pick me up after pushing back when I could get my car twice. He didn't get me til 4:50. Please read my review for details!

Please let me know the cost for the coolant pressure test?

62.50 and it goes to labor if you want to get the work done thanks. Pls call for any other qts you may have.

I have a 2008 BMW x3 with coolant leaking from passenger side but I noticed the expansion coolant reservoir tank has coolant residue around the tank and the hoses. Do you think it's a leak on the expansion tank or the hoses or is it the water pump?

We can do a coolant pressure test and that will tell you exactly where the leak started. Also it will tell you if you have more than one leak.

How much does an oil change cost?

How much to install new headlights on 2012 Bmw 335i f30? I had bought aftermarket but have had too many problems with electrical and adaptive light error so I want to go back to?

We agreed to proceed. However, compared to Walters Mercedes-Benz of Riverside, which frequently offers complimentary diagnostic coupons and service promotions, the overall value was not as attractive. I am not certain whether this shop uses genuine Mercedes-Benz OEM parts. In my opinion, aftermarket parts or parts represented as "OEM equivalent" do not match the quality and reliability of genuine Mercedes-Benz dealership parts. I recommend that customers verify exactly what parts are being installed and compare pricing with the dealership before authorizing repairs. The biggest issue that caused this shop to lose my business involved my son's vehicle being diagnosed by Jojo as having flood damage. We filed an insurance claim, and after speaking with the insurance adjuster, I learned that a request had been made for the insurance company to send payment directly to the shop. Because the vehicle was fully paid off, I expected any insurance payment arrangements to be discussed with me first. I was upset because I never authorized direct payment to the shop. After arranging for the insurance payment to be sent directly to me instead, I later contacted Anita regarding repairs to my vehicle. The repair quote I received was significantly higher than I expected, which caused me concern about the overall cost of the repairs. Another issue that negatively affected my experience was a comment Anita made to me: "You are lucky you got part of the adjuster money; you would have gotten NOTHING elsewhere lol." I found that statement unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. Overall, I strongly encourage customers to compare repair estimates directly with the dealership before authorizing work. In my experience, independent shops are not always less expensive than dealerships. While some shops advertise lower hourly labor rates, the final estimate may increase through additional labor hours or other charges. Customers should also consider transportation costs. Unlike Walters Mercedes-Benz, which provided transportation assistance and a loaner vehicle, Prestige Automotive did not offer me a ride, rideshare service, or a loaner vehicle. As a result, customers may need to pay for rental vehicles or arrange their own transportation, which can significantly increase the overall cost and inconvenience of the repair. You will end up paying more than a dealership for less quality than a dealership . Based on my experience, careful comparison shopping is essential before deciding where to service your vehicle.
