My photos speak for themselves. I scheduled an appointment here while traveling on account of the good reviews here and on Google. Big mistake. The good: They called my appointment on time and I like the color I picked. That's about it. A female in her early 30s did my full set in under 25 minutes. Even at my usual (very busy) salon in NYC, a set takes 45 minutes or more. This was the most rushed job I have ever experienced. The salon is not dirty as a whole, but the individual table I sat at was absolutely filthy with dust from the previous client seated there before me. I should have taken this as the first red flag and should have asked her to clean it up, but I didn't. The biggest problem came when she asked me the length. She said, "Short right?" I told her "short to medium". She immediately cut my nails as short as they would go - the metal of the trimmer touching my fingertip. My natural nails have absolutely zero room to grow in. I was immediately disappointed and pulled my hand away, but decided to give her a chance, hoping that I would like it after she shaped the nails. Another mistake on my end. She didn't shape the nails until after she had already applied the acrylic, which was bizarre and was very painful for me as she filed the sides. While she was filing, I realized that she had gotten gobs of acrylic on my skin, resulting in my skin pulling off as she filed. You can see remnants of acrylic and the areas where the skin on my finders pulled in the photos I've posted. She quickly gave up shaping the nails, which left me with incredibly ugly, chunky nails. By this point, I was massively upset, knowing that I would have to try to fix the botched job on my own at home. She asked me if the shape was okay twice (surely knowing full well that it looked terrible) and I couldn't even articulate to her how not-okay it was. I let her finish the job, paid for the worst full set I have ever received (no refunds!), and left to fix the mess on my own. That's what I get for straying from my normal nail tech and getting a new set while traveling. Never again. read more

We had an appointment, or so we thought. The woman was extremely rude and told us she would be right with us. I believe they should have a visit from the state inspector. It was so dirty, we immediately felt that we picked the wrong salon. Have you ever entered an establishment and felt grossed out. This was how it felt to walk into Dirty Donna's. Pick any other salon. There are so many other nail salons in our area. Clean up your act Donna. These customers will never come back or recommend you. read more

I had a pedicure here for the first time. I arrived 8 minutes early, picked out a polish and politely asked the nail tech closest to my proximity if maybe I could soak a few extra minutes while I awaited my time. Another tech, who I found out later was the owner's niece, SHOUTED from the back of the salon that my "appointment is 11:30 and we will soak you at 11:30 ". I politely repeated my question, explaining I have hard to remove callouses because I stand at my job and extra soaking time allows them to soften. She then repeats, WITH ATTITUDE, "your appointment is 11:30, we soak you at 11:30", so I sat down in the waiting area. At precisely 11:30, a third nail tech calls to me from across the room for me to come over to soak. I didn't even realize she was speaking to me until another customer said something. I went to where she was filling the foot bath and asked if she would please be sure to make the water hot for me. She walked away to tend to the client at her manicure station, leaving me to maneuver myself, my shoes, my purse and my drink alone. Once I was seated, I slipped my feet into the water, which was lukewarm at best. I soaked for a few minutes and the tech I spoke to originally came to do my pedicure. I asked her to be certain to tend to my big toes, where I tend to get ingrowns. The owner's niece piped in from across the room once again. "We're not allowed to dig out ingrown toenails. " I don't have an ingrown toenail, nor did I say I do. (This was only a thought in my head, not spoken aloud. I didn't care for this woman's attitude and didn't wish to engage with her.) The tech proceeds with my pedi...clipping, filing, trimming my cuticles...barely touching me. It was almost like she was afraid to touch me. The massage was no better. I stand on my feet for long hours at a time and develop knots in my calves. At no point in time did she put enough pressure on my feet or legs to know there were any issues. Several times during the service I considered getting up and walking out. I felt as though the staff was unprofessional and even rude at times. The service itself was below par. Keep in mind, I work in this industry (I do hair and am trained to do nails as well), so I know how customers SHOULD be treated and what the service should look like. Their only saving grace was it was only $30. I will GLADLY drive 25 minutes to my former nail salon and pay twice the price. I will NEVER darken the door of this place again. read more

Donna was very friendly, but the paint job was streaky and messily applied. Even though I had an appointment Donna went back and forth between my and another clients mani/pedis. I shouldn't have to clean up my skin with polish remover when I get home. Over all I was disappointed with the experience. read more

Service is spectacular here. Trang and Donna are perfectionists and take their time on each client even though they are very busy with their booked appointments. I got a gel mani and pedi and my sister got solar nails and a pedi done here-- both lasted for over 3 weeks, polish still intact. There are myriads of gel colors and solar acrylic powders to choose from. Trang always makes sure that you are happy with the end outcome and goes extra lengths to do so.
