So not a lot of traffic around the salon (just incase I made a soft squeel). Amanda was super professional, therefore it wasn't weird. The salon was clean/fresh, and she even decorated the ceiling BRILLIANT!! She was quick, it took maaaaybe 10 minutes. And my spicy place was beach ready and finally smooth HALLELUJAH!!!

I decided to visit Threading Bar Salon & Spa after reading a mix of reviews. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, so I grabbed something to eat and came back a little later. When I returned, I only had to wait a few more minutes. Overall, I think the service was fair for the $8 price point. There were a couple of things that affected my experience. I was next in line, but another customer approached, and I heard Rani reassure them, "Just two minutes." While I understand wanting to acknowledge waiting customers, it made me worry that my appointment was going to be rushed. Personally, I'd rather wait a few extra minutes if it means the person providing my service can take their time and focus on the client they're currently with. During the threading, the thread snapped several times. At one point, it snapped hard enough that it went inside of my closed eye. I know accidents happen, and I wasn't upset about the mistake itself, but it did make the experience uncomfortable. Slowing down a bit could help make the service feel smoother and more relaxing. That said, I want to give credit where it's due. Rani was very detail-oriented when it came to shaping my eyebrows. She took the time to make sure they were even, well-groomed, and nicely trimmed. Right after my appointment, I wasn't sure how I felt about the final result. Now that a couple of days have passed, I've actually grown to really like them. Looking back, I appreciate how clean and polished my eyebrows look. Overall, I'd describe my experience as mixed. The actual quality of the eyebrow shaping was very good, but the threading experience itself left me a little uneasy. I had a very disappointing experience during my recent appointment. The technician arrived 11…read moreminutes late and, to my memory, never introduced herself by name. When I politely asked how much longer it would be, her response was snippy and unprofessional. She even asked, "Why? Do you have somewhere else you need to be?" I explained that I had another appointment and would need to call and push it back. Her only response was an annoyed sigh. I had to decline an originally planned part of my service because the new product (an only option) used has something I'm allergic to in it. Throughout the service, she barely spoke to me and only offered to count down halfway through the wax appointment. It was more painful than usual and felt very rushed. Her overall demeanor made me feel like she was annoyed to be there--or at least annoyed to be working with me. To make matters worse, it has been two days since my appointment and I have not received any follow-up survey, which is usually standard. This is not the level of professionalism I expect, and it made the entire visit uncomfortable. I doubt I will return to this establishment and will definitely decline service from this technician.
