Beware this company -- after my second experience with them, it's clear their business practices are no longer ethical. The company came last year to open our front door after we got locked out. It was a great experience; they were quick and charged a reasonable fee ($80) Recently, the company responded after we got locked out again, but this time a different technician arrived. Even though it was the same door and lock as the last time they completed service at our house, this tech told me that it was a "smart lock," could not be forced open with the usual tools, and would need to be drilled (and thus destroyed) for $190. Mind you, this is the same door/lock that this same company easily opened last year for $80. It sounded shady, so I urged the tech to try opening it anyway with the inflation bags and a shimmy. Lo and behold, it worked and the door was opened in under two minutes. However, the tech still tried to charge me $190. I pointed out that he didn't drill the lock, so he said "okay, $150." What?? At this point, it was obvious that he was just trying to extort me, so I said nope. The tech then called the company owner, who told him to charge $120 -- even though they didn't quote a price before arriving; had already tried twice to charge me a much higher price than last year; their website no longer works and they don't have prices posted on their Yelp page. I contacted the owner, Moon, to complain, but he tried to excuse everything by saying "$120 is fair considering the rush service" and that "a year ago everything was cheaper." Cool -- so why didn't your tech quote the "fair" price in the first place instead of trying several times to overcharge me? Terrible experience. After all the rain, my front door deadbolt no longer lined up correctly so I couldn't lock my door. Had a great experience with MBM the first time, so called them again. Moon was extremely accommodating about getting someone out to help me that day (so I wouldn't have to go overnight with my front door unlocked!).
