I had always heard good things about Rogers Basement Waterproofing so they were my first call when…read moreI needed some work done. I'm happy for those here who got to deal with the owner. Unfortunately, I did not. I spoke on the phone with someone named Mike in April about a couple of different issues I had with my basement. He said they were too busy at the time to come out and look at it and that what they usually do is install a sump pump. I told him I wasn't sure that was what I needed without checking a couple other things first, but he said again they were too busy for anyone to come out, that I likely needed a sump pump system installed, and that it could run from a few to several thousand dollars. That's fine, I imagine they are swamped in the spring and I have an idea what those systems cost if, in fact, that's what I needed. No problem. Fast forward to August. I called back to see if someone could come out to look at my situation. Left a message with Nicole and I got a call back from Mike (maybe the same Mike, maybe not...I believe he said "Stearns") and we set an appointment for a few days later. Well, he never showed up, never called, nothing. Rogers may be the absolute best in town, but I'll never know it. I feel like I was blown off twice. I'm sure if they see this they'll be very apologetic on here and tell everyone that's not how they do business, but it was exactly how they did it with me. Maybe you'll be luckier and get the owner.

This was our first sump pump, so they had to do everything, not just the pump(put the ditch around the basement, lay inside drain line, cover it back up, dig ditch to street, lay the drain from the basement out to the street, cover it up). They were very considerate of our house, covering the floor path to the work area and placing plastic over the doorways from the section of the basement they were working in. The concrete work covering the ditch up after the inside drain was installed was very neat. Great job! Highly recommended!

I'm an engineer by trade and cant help apply those skills to every project I start…read more I thoroughly appreciated working with Tyler through every step. He was articulate explaining the displacement, likely root causes, prevention and mitigation steps, repair options, and the pros/cons of each approach. During the walkthrough he discussed the areas of concerns and created a visual diagram of the forces interacting on the basement walls, how its displacing the wall, and how it will be repaired. The quote contained all these areas with the total cost of repair + the project plan to resolve it. How many straps, their locations, mortar joints that will be replaced, and a 5 foot section of basement slab that needed removed to clear out the flush ports underneath and replace with new concrete. What I appreciated the most was Tyler's engineering approach. Root cause, resolution, and cost. He identified a couple areas not pointed out by other contractors that required addressing and his quote was still in line despite the additional work. And I never got the impression he tried to create work for a higher invoice. I 100% would hire Tyler and Basement Remedy if I ever purchase another house with basement issues again.

We also needed a precisely dug hole in which to bury a new LP gas storage tank. We found everything we needed at Basement Remedy! Tyler, Todd and their friendly crew, diagnosed our issues, discussed our options, gave us a free estimate; and when we hired them, they quickly delivered the results we needed at a price we could afford. They are great communicators with hands-on ownership. It was a wonderful experience! Five stars. Ask them to quote your job too, you won't be disappointed.

My family just moved into our new house in Grandview Heights and were getting some work done in the…read morebasement (new paint, new flooring, etc.). The painters noticed some mold and water damage near a few of the walls. I called Ohio Basement Authority and Jordan came out the next day. Having a finished basement makes figuring out if there is water coming in tough, but he walked me through the possibilities, and how we could remedy each one. Not being used to having a basement (I historically lived in *much* drier climates!), I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that he showed in walking me through the different situations. I decided to go with the interior waterproofing. I was scheduled to have my new flooring installed a day later, so the speediness that Jordan came out literally saved me thousands of dollars (and the time of having another floor installed!). Thanks OBA!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!…read more Ohio Basement Authority (Groundworks) severely damaged my garage and pool deck in just a few hours, then took three months to inspect the damage. I hired them to lift three garage slabs. Instead, they cracked two slabs into seven pieces, then stopped working because the concrete was "cracked beyond a level of safely lifting." Their crew created the damage, then used it as the reason they couldn't finish the job. My garage floor is still 2-3 inches lower than the surrounding slabs, making it unusable for parking and failing to meet the work promised in the contract. I spent over $11,000 for work on my garage and pool area. The result is a broken garage and multiple trip hazards they created themselves--the same hazards they use during sales presentations to justify additional work. Around my pool, one slab now sits higher than the surrounding deck, another remains lower and was left separated instead of being repositioned flush. My property is in worse condition than before they started. Management ignored my calls for three months. When they finally responded, the attitude was hostile, with statements like, "We're not responsible for our salesman's promises," and "We don't level." Once they're paid, don't expect responsive customer service. If something goes wrong, be prepared to spend months fighting just to get someone to acknowledge the problem. To make matters worse, I later learned that completely demolishing and replacing the sunken concrete would have cost about 40% less than the foam lifting system they sold me--and their foam is already showing signs of settlement. Buyer beware.

The total pool room area has 2500 square feet of concrete. That is a lot of concrete slab that has sunk, tilted and cracked in the 40 years since we built it new. We feared that we would have to have it broken up, removed and replaced at an enormous cost. We decided to call B-Level. The phone was answered very professionally and courteous. The company owner visited our house within a short time and also was very professional, courteous and really knew what he was talking about and what we needed to correct the problem. I usually get at least three quotes when spending on a project this big. The owner gave me a verbal estimate while here to be followed up with an exact written quote. We were very pleasantly surprised with the super economical cost to fix our concrete rather than replace it. When the written quote/contract arrived it matched what the owner told us verbally. The work was done and our concrete looks wonderful. The workmen were top notch. B-Level saved our concrete and a bundle of our cash for us to use in other areas. B-Level is now our "go-to" company for concrete slab problems.
