We had a terrible experience at another daycare and brought our daughter over to The Goddard…read moreSchool. It has been an amazing experience! When she was in the infant room she was always doing developmentally appropriate activities and getting a ton of attention. Now that she is in the toddler room she can count to 10, knows shapes and colors and some Spanish and sign language! As a teacher it is important to me that she is learning and as a mommy it is important to me that she is happy and safe. It's the best of both worlds at The Goddard School! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies!

The Goddard school has been more than a blessing to my family. My almost 2 year old, has learned so much from being here since he was 3 months old. I also now have a 8 year old(as of today), and as well they have always taken care of him since he has been there. He is currently doing virtual learning from his elementary here, and the staff helps SO much with his school since i cant be there with him. They go above and beyond, and even the teachers back at the elementary can tell how much they do for him just by on zoom meetings. I honestly don't know where my family would be without having the Goddard school. And most props to the owner Sarah, for being the most involved, caring person there. I am positive the Goddard is the way it is, because of her being such a great leader. I give the Goddard a 100, not a 10 =).

Updating my review as we have been at the center for another year, and leadership has turned over…read more My son is newly 3 and still loves going to daycare! His teachers are wonderful partners in raising him. He moves between the 2s class and the 3s class regularly and is always so excited to find out what class he will be with that day as we prepare to transition him up to the 3s once his potty training is a bit more consistent. His teachers have been great working through the process of potty training! I still highly recommend this location.

The staff at kindercare have been extremely loving towards my daughter and have provided the foundation for not only her social skills but for her learning. At such a young age the kids are exposed to various learning activities that teaches them all sorts of things from fossils to meditation. As an elementary school teacher for 7 years I can't stress how important it is that children start elementary school with a good foundation. Kindercare offers just that. At the age of 2 my daughter knows her shapes, her colors, how to count to 30, her alphabet, letter sounds, the days of the week, the months of the year and so much more. I know that when she starts pre-k or kindergarten, she will be more than ready. Everyday when I pick her up she tells me all that she did that day and she tells me about all of her classmates and teachers. Being able to interact with different kids and teachers has been invaluable to her social development and the development of her communication skills. Most importantly my daughter enjoys being there. My family and I love the app because we get to see my daughter during the day. The pictures and videos are a testament to all that they do there. I am beyond appreciative of all the staff members that have interacted with my daughter and have even facilitated/ helped with her potty training journey! They even offer Phonics to the kids, which helps them build the foundation for reading and writing. I have nothing but love and appreciation for Kindercare and know that my daughter will have very fond memories of her early years and a strong foundation for the years to come.

*FYI this is a long review*…read more From the first day my 3 year old started ,I began to see that this was not going to be a good fit for my son. He was in the pre-k 1 class with Ms. Jennifer. So my review is mostly based off of our experience in Pre K 1. Now she wasn't a mean teacher but she is not an involved teacher. - She did not greet in the mornings or I would have to say good morning first to her for her to acknowledge us walking in. When I walk in with my son, she never for one day ever greeted or acknowledged my son in the mornings when we walked in. - When the door is closed during drop off times in the morning she did not look up to see who walked in. That bothered me because, to me that means anybody could walk into the room and she wouldn't of initially see who it was, I could of been anybody just randomly walking into the classroom. - My son never had the comfort of the teacher , to help him transition into his new environment most of the day she just sits there. Maybe it's just me, but I like teachers who are hands on and talk to the kids, actually sit and do activities with the kids. Even when it's free time and they're are playing but just actually getting up and walking around and getting to know the kids and building relationships with them. Not just being a babysitter. I could go somewhere else for cheaper if I wanted a babysitter. - I told them that my son still needed a little help with the potty, just for a little bit. I saw from the camera that the kids just get up and go on their own which is fine for the ones who can do everything with no assistance. But I specifically said if the teacher can just make sure he's ok and may need a little help with pulling his pants all the way down so he wouldn't tinkle on his clothes and pulling them up correctly and just reminding him to go because he just became potty trained and needed reminders. But she never did that. The thing that concerned me the most was the kids that may not be fully potty trained what if they poop?? Some 3 yrs can't wipe their own butts yet, so without the teachers help I bet some kids are walking around without wiping properly. Thank goodness my son never went number 2 there. - One morning we saw on the camera that every child lined up to go outside had a jacket on but my son went outside without a jacket on , mind you it's in the low 50's. My husband immediately called them asked them where is his jacket ? He even went up there to make sure they gave him his jacket. I don't know how she missed that he wasn't wearing a jacket, especially since every child had one on. - In the mornings when I dropped him off every day was a struggle for him to go into the room he would just keep telling me" I don't want to go in there" , I would have to pick him up and carry him in just for him to go into the room. He wasn't crying he was just saying it over and over again. Mind you this is not his first daycare facility. He's been in care since 15 months. He genuinely didn't like it in that room. Now a teacher who actually was involved and liked their job would of came over to help me ,help him have an easier transition. She is his teacher and has to be with her the whole day, it is important for a teacher to make an effort into building a trusting relationship with each child especially when they are new. She could of came over and talked to my son, you know just warm up to him, make him feel comfortable there, she did none of that. Nothing to help him feel welcomed. - His teacher never smiled , at least I never did. She didn't have an inviting personality, she was just there, if that makes sense. She legitimately did the bare minimum to maintain her job. Watch the kids and make sure they don't get hurt, do circle time, feed them and that's it. Being a Pre K teacher you have to have a friendly , open and inviting personality. I believe that's what helps kids thrive, feeling that genuine love and care from a teacher makes kids feel comfortable and just makes them happy to come to school everyday. My son didn't feel that and I believe that's what made him not like going there. -I left medicine with them for him to take every 4 hours for his cough, I filled the form out, I told the director the times, she even wrote it down. But when they gave it back to me at the end of the day. I noticed that the bottle was still the same amount as when I have it to them in the morning. He was suppose to have 2 doses that day while at school. I didn't even bother calling about it because that was the last straw me, I pulled my son from there. And this is after already having a conversation with his teacher and the director. We would of tried moving classrooms but there was no room for him to move to another class because it was full and will not have room until August of this year. So I felt the best thing for now was to just go somewhere else.

I changed daycares originally for safety/cleanliness reasons from a prior daycare. In the past 2 weeks he is thriving health wise and also developmentally. This daycare not only cares for the children, but actually teaches them! Even at this young age!! In 2 weeks he has began to talk, interact more with us. He is beginning to use sign language to tell us when he wants "more". He is super happy now and I can't wait to see just how much he develops in the future. They have art, music, recess, story time and free play. I didn't realize until now just how much these things help them develop and other daycares don't have these things. The teachers and director communicate with me about his progress on a daily basis and my son is happy when he is dropped off and doesn't want to leave when it is pickup time. Thank you so very much Learning and Beyond for making a difference in our lives!!!!
