Today we tried different selections for brunch. I had the Pan Seared Scottish Salmon which was amazing. The presentation was top notch and the salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My guest ordered the Short Rib Hash and found it mushy and lacking short ribs. The manager took it back and apologized and offered a different selection "on the house." Um... wow! Everything was delicious here including (hold on...) the anchovies on the white bean bruschetta!!! Ohhh my... and their lemon meringue pie (while I would say it was more of a key lime pie) was pretty darn good. The Pig & Fig flatbread is a must try! There was no little tiny pieces on there but full-blown chunks of fig! Yum!!!! The prosciutto wrapped melons drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette was so refreshing paired with my G&T! Tonight I was heading home from LAX and we decided to have a bite at Tin Roof in Manhattan Beach. This is a nice and cozy restaurant with a nice staff and a good menu. Today being Sunday, they apparently offer their brunch menu all day. We shared a 'secret' menu item, the Haystack fries then, we shared the layered lasagna and a Sorpasetta pizza. The food was very good and, they have a lot of other 'comfort' food available. There's plenty of parking and the mall that's very close has a bunch of places to burn the calories. Came here to grab a glass of wine and dinner with friends. I ordered their lobster ravioli and it was amazing. The sauce was absolutely incredible. I paired it with one of their Sauvignon blanc wines and it was refreshing. For dessert I ordered their key lime meringue. If you are a lime/lemon dessert person then I definitely recommend that you order this dessert. Only downside was their AC was not working this evening which was it a little difficult to enjoy dinner. Looking forward to coming again. Additionally, ensure you make a reservation. Father's Day Brunch. Excellent experience. Special two course meal with special menu offerings. Seriously, one course is more than enough, we had two plus appetizers! We started with cocktails, and of course prepared by our favorite bartender / cocktail specialist extraordinaire, Clark. Off Your Head (Bloody Mary) and Ophella's White Sangria. Both were very tasty! Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon! read more

The food was a hit, from the dipping sauces to the main dishes. All of our items were very good. Delicious and filled with different flavors that appeased both myself and my husband. I would give 5 stars but we were forgotten outside for about an hour or so. We were supposed to wait 45 minutes to be seated. I'll take some responsibility for waiting longer than we probably should have before going back to the front desk but they seemed to be very busy. When my husband finally went back to the front desk, after a little more than an hour they were able to seat us right away. By this time I was hangry. But alas, like we've experienced before, the food allergies were not taken into consideration during dessert selection and the birthday celebrant was given a dessert that had almonds in it! One of our food allergies. Fortunately, we checked it out and thought it looked "suspiciously" unsafe in terms of allergens. And our intuition was spot on. Comfortable to see families with little children or others with older generations, large b-day party crowds and small gatherings... We reserved a table outside and loved the SoCal atmosphere. I saw a manager came out to greet most of the customers but some reason he missed our table. I don't know why, but even though he came out few times, we were never get greeted. We had a decent amount of food and drinks for birthday dinner. Everything was delicious. Birthday chocolate mousse was not charged, That was a wonderful touch from the restaurant. My friend & I dined here for brunch last weekend to celebrate her birthday. The weather was nice & so we sat outside. The patio ambiance was cozy & relaxing. They even had heaters in case we get cold. Service was attentive & excellent. They served my friend a complimentary dessert at the end to wish her happy birthday which was a very nice gesture. As for food, we shared the fire cracker shrimp, caramelized Brussel sprouts, & short rib hash. Everything was perfectly seasoned, flavorful & delicious! The sauce on the shrimp wasn't overpowering & the texture of the Brussel sprouts wasn't too crispy or too soft. The short rib was super tender & paired well with the sunny side up eggs. I was there with a date.. first impression... we had reservations but we waited quite a bit i was wearing a heels so its pretty tough to stand up and i ask the gentleman outside if i can just sit next to a table that had plates in it. It looks like they were barely setting up and that chair was not taken yet but he refused to let me sit for a few. I thought it was lack of courtesy and kinda rude! But moving on.. the host was pretty nice and engaged an awkward remarks but maybe its his humor. The server was fantastic she was friendly on point and very accommodating. The food was delicious. Tried Tin Roof Bistro as part of an event with a prix fixed menu, but I definitely need to come back for their regular menu as it looks delicious. Great ambiance indoor and outdoor for parties/birthdays. We were in a private room off to the side which fit about 50 people comfortably with a little bar inside. As part of the prix fixed menu, I opted for the tomato bisque soup, chicken, and chocolate mousse. Hubby selected the ceasar salad, salmon, and cobbler so we were able to try a variety of dishes. I enjoyed all of hubbies dishes more - the salmon had a nice crispiness on the outside but was tender on the inside - very flavorful. Chocolate mousse was quite sweet and disappointing in flavor so I'm glad the crumble/cobbler with a small dollop of vanilla ice cream saved the day! There have been many changes to the place since we've last been and the ambience was very nice outside and in. Could lean fancy or as casual as you'd like. We had the roasted Brussels sprouts, steak frites and the scallops. Everything was amazing! Good quality, cooked well. Steak was exactly medium rare and scallops were cooked to perfection. The pasta was cooked al dente and the blend of lobster, shrimp, and mascarpone stuffing was generously served, making it so satisfying in every bite. This dish could be very rich but would suit you best if you fancied your pasta came in flavorful creamy sauce. Super nice outdoor seating area and the indoor seating has such a charming and cozy feel to it. The service was great - you can tell these waiters and the management have been working there for years. Now onto the food; the quality was excellent. I ordered the Cobb salad which was barely a traditional cobb salad and more of their own salad rendition but I am not complaining! I would go back again JUST for this salad. It was sooooooo good and the happy hour portion was huge for the price! 10/10. My friend got the caesar salad and she also enjoyed it very much. We split the fries which were nothing to write home about - shoestring fries should be crispier and these fell a little flat. But the Brussel sprouts.... if you come here and don't order these then don't even come. Because they are A MUST. I've been passing by Tin Roof Bistro for a while when shopping and finally decided to try it with a friend and we absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it so much that I went back the very next day with my mom and sister for dinner. The spiced Mediterranean chicken with white truffle polenta was incredible. I could've licked the plate clean. My friend tried the thin-layered lasagna and loved it as well. My sister ordered the same chicken dish and was just as impressed. My mom had the trout; while she found it a bit on the dry side, she really enjoyed the potatoes, vegetables, and polenta. Their elevated take on spinach dip was so good! Packed with flavor and pretty colors. We all enjoyed the Hugo Spritz, and the service truly stood out. From the hostess to the waitstaff, everyone was welcoming and attentive. The manager even came around to check on guests, which added a really nice touch. He recommended the passionfruit crème brûlée, and it might honestly be my new favorite dessert. Overall, both of my experiences were amazing, and I'm already looking forward to trying their brunch menu. Reservations are highly recommended, but if you're in a small group (around four or fewer), the wait isn't too bad. There's also plenty of parking, which makes things easy. Desserts are very generally portioned - we tried five of them, and most could easily serve three people or more. Very popular restaurant. Somewhat loud inside, so might be tough for those hard of hearing. Recommend booking early if you have a large group and would like the outdoor courtyard. And also may want to call to confirm that your outdoor seat is in the courtyard versus in front of the restaurant facing the street. Came to Tin Roof to celebrate a girlfriend's bday. Loved that there was ample parking right across the restaurant. Ambiance was very cute. Slightly dim but very charming inside. I feel like the style is semi-casual/formal, which was fitting for our group Service was great! I didn't catch the name of our server but she was timely and observant- made sure to clear unused dishes and refill water. Even the manager who brought out the short rib dishes took out the bone from each one and glazed the meat with the sauce provided. Food: I didn't get to try everyone's dishes but I did get a taste of some of the appetizers. The brussel sprouts were excellent- I love when there's a strong citrus background (8.5/10). The Indian-spiced spinach dip was interesting but pretty good. I don't think I'd order it again but it was def unique (6.5/10). The spicy tuna spring rolls were nice! Not traditional but refreshing- especially with the wasabi ginger dipping sauce (8/10). I decided to opt for a salad for *health* so I ordered the Manhattan Beach Cobb. It was a pretty standard salad, nothing spectacular.
