Completely unprofessional. They arrived 2 hours late for the quote, but we were still interested because of our neighbors reviews and wanted to move forward with both a fence and a deck ASAP. We planned it out with the employee and were told we would receive a quote that night, but didn't. After following up the next day, we were told it would be sent that day and again, nothing. It has now been over a week, and despite multiple calls and messages to both the company and the employee, we've been completely ignored. All we asked for was the quote so we are curious to know why they didn't want our business, seeing we were happy to move forward and many of our neighbors have used them. While they were literally just one final day of punch out items away from getting highly rated, we are left with an enclosed patio that has not been completed via a final walkthrough. Once the lender released all the funds, we haven't heard from them again. Again, all they had to do was send someone out to finish the last few items. Now we're left to go through several reporting agencies, including the finance company and an attorney, to get compensation for the items we'll have to pay a private contractor to fix. They left cigarette butts all in our yard, trash and supplies for weeks to the point there are large patches in our yard that have yet to grow back. I would never recommend or use them again. They did a fence job for us years ago with no issues but this is just dumb and irresponsible on their part at this point. Having to go through all the legal loopholes and pay fees to fight a patient customer when they could've just finished what they started. We went weeks with no contact at times. I hired them to replace part of my wooden fence in July 2024. Very soon after installation, many of the planks began to warp. One of the posts that a gate is attached to also warped and caused the gate to rub against the opposite post making it very difficult to open. I had a very difficult time getting someone to come out to take a look at it. Finally someone came out but I never got a quote or any sort of follow-up. I called numerous times but they were never able to find the estimate from the person who came out. Finally, was able to schedule another person to come out. Hired them to replace an existing deck in March 2024 with a quote of 8-10 weeks. They were not close to meeting the timeline and the deck was not complete until September 2024. Job had issues the entire time ranging from materials not being ordered timely, not ordering the right quantities, failing the county inspection & submitting the wrong plans to the county. Company continuously made excuses and took no accountability. Some deck boards recently came loose less than a year after installation and it is impossible to get in contact with someone to fix the issue. He spent about 45-60 minutes listening to the type of fencing I was requesting but, mainly on taking measurements which, I appreciate. However, the estimate never came. This is our exact communication: 4/10/24 (Wednesday) Me - "Hello, when can I expect the fence estimate?" Him - "I'm out of town at the moment. I will be back Friday and send over all information." Nothing was sent on Friday, 4/12/24. 4/13/24 (Saturday) Me - "GM. Is fence estimate ready. I'm eager to get the fence installed as I have other projects scheduled but pending fence installation. Thanks." Him - "It's pending approval for pricing. I will send it tonight when I get to my computer. Tomorrow morning at the latest. Sorry for the delay!" Me - "Ok thanks for the update." It's now Tuesday, 4/23/24, 10 days after our last text conversation and no word or estimate! What a joke and again, a waste of everyone's time. I felt MC Fence would provide the best quality in product and service in comparison to the other companies. The process, the price, the schedule to install, and the completion was absolutely awesome. On installation day, there was a slight mishap. However, MC Fence team were 3000 percent on top of ensuring that this situation was resolved. They were pro-active and in total problem-solving mode. I had inquired about having a fence built around my backyard. It was easy to set up an appointment and I received several reminders and a confirmation. The day of the appointment, the representative showed up a few minutes early and was very friendly. But that's where things got confusing... He never measured the property, and said he would just get the measurements from the plat survey. Then he handed me two picture booklets, one with vinyl fencing and one with wood fencing, from two different vendors I guess they use? He seemed to be pushing me towards wood fencing, but literally gave me no details about either, and finally I said, "Well, can you at least give me estimates for the basic wood fence and the basic vinyl fence?" We had them install a four foot fence around our yard about 2.5 years ago. They generally did a good job with a few spots that don't look great, but in one corner they didn't angle and sink the nails properly and as a result the fence is now separating from the post. We have tried multiple times to get them to send someone to take a look and give us a repair estimate, but they continue ghosting us. Don't love this customer service failure. read more

I was worried about the pricing given the run up of lumber costs but it was OK. Crew came when they said they were going to, actually a little early. Four person crew took half a day to fence in my backyard using some existing fencing of my neighbors on two sides. HOA approval was the thing that delayed the start. I went with a fancier estate 5 board style and it looks great. I also was paranoid that I'd put the fence on my neighbors property and learned out of the exercise that my neighbor's pool fence is actually 1 foot on my property on one corner. There was some confusion about buying into my neighbors fence that we got resolved quickly. That was a miscommunication and not the company's fault. I'll update my review when the work is done, but impressed so far. ***update*** so the job is done, but not without an issue. Seems that they forgot to finish the fence. They ran it the length of the property but failed to tie it into the front to connect with the gate post. Whoops! My daughter caught it. Reached out to Jeff who knew both about it. Maybe they ran out of material? He wasn't sure. Turns out it was a translation issue from English to Spanish. Guess they didn't know they were supposed to do it. Say what?? Pretty ridiculous. TLDR: Bad installation. Repeated no shows. Fences needed to be replaced in 4 years. The installed fence is passable. I had several issues which I pointed out on the day of the installation. This includes multiple pieces that were damaged when the installers dropped them from the truck. The worst issue was the checking of the post that was installed next to the gate. These were stated to be non-issues by MC Fence. However, after the first rainstorm and since then, the gate would not open due to the checking getting worse. I've had to saw off more and more of the gate in order to open it. The locking mechanism has broken due to poor quality. That means that in just 4 years, I've needed to replace the some of the fences which were installed by MC Fence. These issues were pointed out on the day of installation, but MC Fence did not care that they installed inferior quality fences so long as they got paid. In attempting to replace the fences (again, it has only been 4 years since they were installed) they took 3 tries to get a person out to estimate the work. That is, three separately scheduled days and times to get a person to show up. I also needed to reach out to the person multiple times after not receiving the estimate for over a week. I tried to use them again to replace their original fence installation 4 years later, but the customer service was so bad, I gave up. read more

I contracted with MC fence in April of 2024. They started the job in June of 2024. The contract clearly states that the work will be done in 2 days or less. They started the job on a Thursday. They left their work trailer parked in front of my house, and left Thursday evening. Friday morning, they showed up, hooked up the trailer, and left. I called the salesman, to ask what going on. I was told that they had an important job to go to, and would finish on Saturday. Saturday comes. No show, No call. Nobody answers the phone. No show Sunday, no show Monday. I call the office Monday afternoon, and the general manager starts screaming at me over the phone. I have no idea what he's saying, because he's screaming so loud, it's just distortion. I hang up and call the sales rep. He tell's me, that someone will be out Tuesday. A crew shows up, works for a few hour's then leaves, not finishing the job. No one show's up Wednesday or Thursday. Friday, a crew shows up and completes the job and askes me to sign off on the work. I refuse to sign, because most of the fence posts are leaning so badly, the lob looks terrible. The crew had to dig out, and straighten 17 out of 28 fence posts to make the fence look straight. I contacted the owner, but never got response. I should have gone with a local company. read more

I met with MC Fence and Deck 9/25 to replace my fence. They sent Christian Avara to my property and after taking measurements of everything, he tells me it will be $17,000-$18,000. He was going to send me a quote that day but said he spoke to his GM and it would be $22,500. I told him that is fine and we are ready to move forward. He sent over the quote on 9/30 for $22,500 but it was for a 4' tall fence in the front, not a 6' as discussed. I pointed that out to him and he said he will correct it. He then tells me that the price will now go up to $27,500. He knew from the beginning that we wanted a 6' fence. When I told him this is getting out of hand with all the price increases, he said he will talk with his manager to see what he can do. He then says $27,500 is the best he can do. Reluctantly, I agreed. I told him to send over the new quote so I can sign it and he told me to just fill out the credit application first because we were interested in financing. I told him I would like to see a quote first before I pull my credit. He then says the price is now $35,000. I told him that is ridiculous and this is now the 4th time you have changed the price after agreeing to it in writing. He said he understands and will talk with the GM. He then tells me the GM said we can't have a fence taller than 4' due to code. That is incorrect. I confirmed it with DPS. That was a downright lie so they could keep the material cost down and if I didn't call to verify, I would have believed them. I called the manager to try to get a resolution and was unsuccessful. They said they will call me back with a resolution by Wednesday afternoon (10/16/2024) and they never did. This has been an extremely difficult process and the level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism is honestly unlike anything I have ever experienced. It has felt like a bait and switch tactic from the beginning and I think people should be aware of this companies business tactics. read more

However, he tried to get me to sit down and sign on the dotted line without even giving me a dollar figure or before measuring. I told him that I was in the process of gathering estimates and that I would make a decision after they were all in. He seemed taken aback by that, and then reminded me that since they dig down 24" (no different than anyone else) and were using 3 rails for a 5' fence (also no different than anyone else) that their price would likely be higher. I reached out to MC Fence back in September to have two gates removed and have new post installed for the gates along with a gate repair. Two gentlemen came out within two days to take a look at the project and provided a proposal within a week. This was going to be a $6k project and they required a $3k deposit. We submitted the signed contract and deposit back in October which was cashed right away. Here we are March 16th, 2022 (5 MONTHS LATER) and NOTHING has been completed. I cannot get anyone to return my phone calls or emails, even the owner of the company who emailed me stating that someone would be out no later than March 1st will not follow back up with me and of course nobody showed up by March 1st or has shown up at all. I am livid and beyond frustrated and now having to use an attorney to go after them in order to get the $3k deposit back so that we can go with another company. DO NOT USE MC FENCE AT ALL COST!!!!
