BLUF: Excellent communication, did what they said and didn't sell me on what I didn't need…read more My double garage door sprung its only spring and like the weather-adverse person I am, I "needed" my garage door fixed before the next snowstorm. I was able to provide the type of garage door that I had and Annapolis Garage Door squeezed me into their schedule. The technician showed up on time and that a best practice for a door that size is to have two springs on the door to reduce strain and for redundancy. They gave me the choice if I'd like one spring or two. Two of course - I definitely don't need a failed spring taking out a car or person. I also asked them to quote me a new garage door opener because my current chain driven opener is ridiculously loud. Annapolis Garage Door replied, "We're glad to give you a quote a for a new garage door opener but we think you'd might be happy with a simple tune up." Sure enough, Annapolis Garage Door tuned up the garage door and the system is many decibels quieter. They had the chance to sell me a new system but instead they sold me on their company and I've been since spreading the good word to others.

But, it is only fair that the great people at Exotic Lumber get a great review. Selection of product: They probably have over 100 different species of wood in stock it seems like at all times. They have small pre cut blanks for tuning of pens all the way up to large live edge slabs. So of their products are pre cut and planed to a basically smooth surface with at least 3 sides squared. GREAT SELECTION. Services: They can smooth most surfaces for you in house, and will ruff cut products and even glue your products for a small fee. Expertise and custom service: TOP NOTCH customer service and knowledge makes buying a product easy. If you are a beginner (just let them know) or a seasoned expert, they can help. They will not steer you wrong. Final thoughts: I might be old school but I love products that are made out of REAL wood. Not IKEA for me. Sometimes finding the right product to create your project might be the hardest things to do, at Exotic Lumber they help you find the products you need and can even give sound advice if needed. Fallen Lumber Company is awesome. I went there this past weekend after their social media blitz. I…read morewas not at all disappointed. Everyone there is fantastic. Crazy helpful. I walked in, said I wanted to just browse, and was immediately given a 20 minute tour of their huge warehouse space. What you see out front is just the front door. I spent quite a while looking thru everything and then bought the slabs in my picture. All 2+ feet high and 2+ inches thick. All of that for $220 with their weekend sale. I really like that everything they sell is truly reclaimed wood, mostly from fallen trees or areas where trees are being removed and would then be otherwise thrown out or burned. My haul from left to right: - Black Walnut - Ash - 2 White Oak from the same cut so I can somehow book match them - Sycamore (need to read more about this) - And a Red Oak cutoff they threw in for free. This is from the Monocacy Civil War Battlefield. Some trees were being cleared and were ready to be thrown away!!! Really unique. Will definitely be returning!!!
