Flooding immediately from the garage door. They refuse to fix it because Anne Arundel County installed the grate in front of the garage door, with a drain pipe leading to a sump pump just inside the garage. After 6 years of floods, I finally recognized the problem: Action had removed the drain pipe and replaced it with drain tile that cannot handle heavier rains, causing the grate to overflow and flood the garage. Action never documented their visits, so this summer I tried something different: I made an appointment saying I had additional work, not warranty work, done. When the inspector showed up, I let HIM identify the problem, pointing out the issue was the drain tile that replaced the County's pipe can't handle the load. The inspector then refused to honor the warranty--again--but offered to have an Action foreman and crew come out and "fix my problem" for $1,000 cash. Still nothing in writing. Wondering how "corporate" was implicated (was this unofficial policy--avoiding honoring Lifetime Guarantees, potentially saving tens of thousands in repeat work?, or would the owners be upset that its employees were performing unpermitted and unauthorized work for untaxed income?). I received a text with the name of the foreman coming on the weekend and waited. They arrived in company trucks and uniforms. I took pictures and told them to leave. I went to the police station and tried to file a complaint but they said to report it to the MHIC first. I did and, again, waited. Today, the MHIC rejected the complaint as being 3 years past the original work. Time to file that police complaint and hire an attorney. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I was looking into getting siding done for my elderly mother's home, which is badly in need of repair, and Marcus not only gave me a quote, but he (1) was incredibly honest about possible damage underneath the siding once the job begins that may need to be addressed to maintain the integrity of the structure of the house (something that the other contractors I got quotes from didn't do), (2) went out of his way to make the right kind of financing available to my mother to accommodate her concerns by adding a new option to his list of financing options by having his company sign up with an additional bank, (3) made adjustments to match competitors' price quotes, (4) took a look at some other areas of my mother's home to help me make assessments about what work to prioritize and (5) overall made it abundantly clear that customer comfort and understanding are important to him. I mean, he answered a ton of questions I had over a period of weeks, and he also instilled in me the importance of addressing certain issues with my mom's house to maintain the home value and not cause or exasperate potential structural issues in the long run, emphasizing that he wanted her to make the best decisions regardless of whether or not we were able to sign a contract with M & C Global at this time. I have nothing but positive things to say about my contact with the owner of this company, and in fact he has left me feeling much more knowledgeable about the work ahead that needs to be done on my mother's home (even beyond the siding issues) and more empowered to get the work done. I cannot recommend M&C Global Construction. I hired them to investigate a water infiltration issue…read moreand paid approximately $2,600 for an "Investigation & Inspection" that included removing siding and locating the source of the leak. During the process, I became increasingly uncomfortable with the number of costly additional repairs being recommended. I was told my vinyl siding was broken and needed replacement, but my current contractor later confirmed the siding was not actually broken. I was also quoted over $4,000 for a new sliding door because I was told the existing door MIGHT break during removal. I was additionally advised that my deck should be demolished. However, three other contractors -- including one of M&C's own employees -- later stated the deck did not need demolition. At that point, I decided to terminate the contract and seek a second opinion. After the inspection, M&C told me the leak was coming from the chimney and only provided photos of the chimney and surrounding roof area. However, my current contractor later discovered additional major issues that were not identified during M&C's inspection, including shingles that were too short, a saturated fascia board, and extensive wood rot behind the siding. What was especially concerning was the difference in repair recommendations and pricing. M&C's proposed repairs exceeded $30,000, while my current contractor's estimate for the necessary repairs was closer to $20,000. Overall, I left the experience feeling frustrated, confused about what exactly I paid for, and concerned that significant issues were missed while expensive additional work was being recommended.
