Finally I said please email me and tell me everything you need. They don't do email and they don't do phone calls..JUST TEXT! They said they needed my files from my last suboxone doctor. I kept telling them my situation and they seemed to just send texts out but not read incoming ones. More frustrating than you could possibly believe. They gave me no fax number or way for the VA to contact them. I text that to them and the little girl told me that since I won't comply with their requests Dr. April Roberts won't accept me as a new patient. Basically they couldn't charge me the usury intake fees because I am on maintenance phase and they didn't like that. Not all doctors are money hungry and as unprofessional as this one, but I will be sure to warn all others looking for help that this is not the place to find it! Thank God there are other doctors in the area that are taking patients. At least we agreed on one thing. I found her on the web, passed her telephone interview, scheduled an appointment, and completed her seventeen online forms. Then I received a phone call from her canceling my appointment. Said that my case was too complex, my depression too severe, and that if she handled my case it would take too much time away from her children. I was in dire need of her help and she turned me away. She has significantly increased my depression and my chances of self-harm. I will do everything in my power to see that she loses her license. As a postscript to this review: She read my review and apparently was not pleased. So, out of alleged concern for my welfare, she chose to call the Albany County Sheriffs office. I had four police cars in my driveway and three deputies surrounding me, in a very intimidating manner, asking me questions. She did not call me with her concerns. She did not call the Mobile Crisis Center. She called the SHERIFF. Now everyone in my neighborhood knows that I have mental health issues. Keep in mind that have never met this woman. She is not my doctor. I merely scheduled an appointment and filled out her forms. I can certainly say this woman has changed my life ... and made it much worse.

This psychiatrist takes one whole session that I paid $200 for analyzing how hurt she was about a…read morebrief text I sent when she texted me asking when our next appointment was. I wrote something like "next wed." And she spent 60 minutes telling me how aghast she was. Why is she texting instead of checking her calendar anyway? Most people wouldn't even respond. Her insistence on patients paying for a minimum of 4 sessions at a time is a grievous burden. Most people cannot manage $800 at a time. She continually mentioned she thought I was well-off and couldn't I just "stop working." I could tell she had no idea who I was and what my situation was. Several times, she took texts or even calls during my appointment from patients "in need." But on my last appointment ever, the day before I was to have major surgery, I needed to use the bathroom, was locked out of her office. She didn't open her office until 20 minutes after my appointment. I had left to go find a bathroom.  She hadn't even noticed my texts asking to be let in to use her bathroom.   She is a "truther" and goes on tangents about the government and how big brother is watching and that the Newtown shooting and the Boston Marathon bombing were staged and actors played the roles. Also, the largest problem for me was that after going to her for almost two years, I never learned any tools to handle my issue.  We never discussed techniques, approaches, etc. She would just repeat back to me whatever I said, in question form. Finally, the 2 times she charged my credit card without my permission really threw me over the edge. The first time, I changed from once a week to twice a week, she told me weeks later she had charged me the $100 difference for the rate, without my permission. After leaving me out in the cold 20 minutes past my appointment time, she charged my CC she kept on file.  This was so scary to me that I stopped all my credit cards, unsure who had done what. When I found out it was she, I was disappointed.
