Holy Mother of God. . . . I walked in thinking I was going to Magic Nails. . .but that's not what happened. I was transported basically. A small bridge, water fountains and a volcano like scene with changing colors, is all designed to relax and ease the mind, transporting you to a different state. A back massage. Not a back rub, but a real back massage that is included with the pedicure. My masseuse is an LMT and informed me that the spa also offers massages as well. What this business offers is spa treatment at nail salon prices. All I could keep thinking was, "everyone gets this with a pedicure?" Beyond. This is the word that I use to describe this place. You just have to go and experience it yourself. . .it truly is a different concept that I'm sure many will appreciate. It's definitely my new home for manicures and pedicures for sure. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have never experienced a company that is okay with losing 3 customers (a total of $160) and with such an unpleasant attitude. Here's what happened. We called to make an appt and the receptionist that answered the phone stated that they had openings all day no problem so she scheduled us at 3 for 3 pedis. We come in and I stated that one of my toe nails were completely chipped and I would need an acrylic repair for that toe. With a look of disgust she looked and me and stated "Acrylicc?!" Like if she was disgusted by me asking for acrylic on my toe. She then went ahead with saying that I should've called and advised that I wanted acrylic on my toe because they don't do that there. (With a rude attitude) Then I said well there no point in me doing my pedí with a broke nail and she would not give me a solution so we said okay well we're going to just leave then and she said laughingly "okay bye" HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. Still in love with this place. The friendliest staff! Sam gives the best massages and I love the way Julie does my nails! They get really busy on the weekends so I try to come during the week to avoid the crowd. I have come on a Saturday and I still get the same service, they always take the time to do it right and I never feel rushed. When my massage ended, the therapist wrapped my legs and walked away. My cousin's pedicure started immediately. The tech who provided my cousin's pedicure, also did mine. The facility is always clean, the staff is always friendly, the manner in which the spa is set up tends to be very community friendly with rows of pedicure chairs and a nail bar for manicures. These are all of the details that set McSpa apart from other "spas". However, I was fortunate enough to start my year off with a pedicure last week and within 3 days my polish was chipped. The actual service you pay for (manicures and pedicures) do not last very long. So much attention is given to massages, that if you want a pedicure to last - this is NOT the place to go. The message part of the experience was incredible. Felt amazing! The manicure on the other hand was absolutely terrible. The technician was rushing the entire time. My nails were uneven and rough around the edges. When I mentioned something about it she became rude. I mentioned something to the manager and she tried acting like the nails looked good. I showed them to the party I was with and they too said the nails were uneven and not well shaped. I had the technician fix them but unfortunately they were still terribly shaped and uneven. The place is beautiful, just the tech that was working in my nails may need a refresher course on now to properly shape nails. I left highly disappointed and unsatisfied with my nails. Have you ever gone to an establishment where the owner has their uncle, cousins, and neighbors there just to kinda "help out"? That's the only way I can accurately describe EXACTLY the quality of service I received for the massage portion of the pedicure. David is his name? First of all, he used no type of oil or lotion... just plain dry bare hands rubbing up and down my neck and arms. Yuck and ouch. He was rough in a very novice manner and when I implied that he was hurting me, he kind laughed. Really? I wanted another guy of whom I didn't know his name (that I've had in the past) and when I saw him walk out during my hell massage, my heart sank. I hate to write a bad review, but I know this place has potential to be better because I have HAD better. I should have stuck with Marquise, the guy I had before. I have gone to this salon for years, but after this whole COVD19, they are just not adjusted. Yes they have many safety precautions but they are SO off. I made and appointment with my regular nail tech. When I went in she was not available. I had to see someone else who truly did not know how to do SNS powder manicure. A week later I went in for a pedicure and again did not get the person that I made the appointment with. It seems that a lot of the employees are rushing and not doing some of the steps that go into the manicure and pedicure. This place was recommended not just by Yelp but also by friends but the last two times I've gone there for Gel I've had my polish chip and come off 2-4 days after. I've been getting Gel off and on for a few years and I'm wondering if they're actually buffing my nails correctly before putting the Gel on because in the past when the polish would start to chip my actual nail would be rough and weak where as the last two time I have been and chip so soon after, my nail has been smooth. Maybe the polish I picked were old. IDK. I told myself after the last time that I was going to try a new place however I was going here after work for a pedi and figured since I had a wedding to attend I'd try them out one more time. Paying $60+ for these services I just feel let down. Now, the staff is super nice and accommodating! I have to say that their hospitality is great, they 're attentive and offer beverages. I've gotten renew my sole a few times and I feel the massage therapists don't know what they are doing. I made a 6pm appointment for a pedicure for myself and 2 other friends. It was girls night out! My girlfriends and I arrived together and 10 minutes early. I checked us in at the front desk. The receptionist told us to pick our nail color. After choosing our nail color, the technician took my 2 friends back to be seated, but not me. My friend said "hey, wait a minute... the 3 of us are together". So we had to wait another 10 minutes before they prepared 3 chairs together. Once we were seated, the nail techs proceeded to do both my friends pedicures while I had to sit and watch and wait. After 35 minutes, each technician finished my friend's pedicures, cleaned up and ONLY then started my pedicure. My friends then had to sit and watch and wait 40 minutes for me. NO ONE...not the receptionist, owner or nail technician ever apologized or offered to make it right. After all this, we were late for a 7:00p dinner reservation. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever that the 3 of us could not have gotten our pedicures at the same time. There were plenty of nail techs working that night. Needless to say, I will never go back again. There are plenty of nail salons that will provide more professional service. read more

First time visiting this location based off of a recommendation. I did look at reviews prior and disregarded them to give the business the benefit of the doubt. I have never been so disappointed in a service as I was today. I came to get the "Happy Feet" service which is $45. Needless to say the massage therapist was distracted speaking the whole time, and the nail tech did not delivery on his expectations. The description states callous removal, and exfoliation. My nail tech completely clipped my nail off to my skin based off of assumption. When I went to the front desk advising my terrible first time experience I was told I will have to pay for the massage which is $30. I don't think they know what an actual massage is. Although i left without having to pay for the service I'm extremely disappointed at the quality of service and customer service provided by a location that lets be honest over charges for services. I went in to get dip nails manicure and I asked for white and they gave me a very sheer white so they had to redo them all over again and use white color instead. Then for the design I asked for a simple sit design and when she put the clearcoat on, the black smeared all over on every nails and she didn't fix it. All of the nails are uneven and very rough feeling. I spoke to the assistant manager and asked him if he could comp my service and he refused and said the best he could do was have them fix it but I told him I don't have time for them to fix it. So you are probably wondering what does the happy feet include? Well ladies and gentlemen prepare yourself for a treat, this particular treatment includes a 25 minute massage for your neck, back, and legs. Massage is a definite must when it comes to a pedicure, this will definitely be my guilty pleasure. I also got shellac nails, which pretty much lasts for about 3 weeks from no chipping. By the way to happy feet will cost you 45.00 dollars just in case you were wondering. I definitely have to give a shout out to the lovely Ariel, she took her meticulous time to make sure that the nail polish on my feet and hands were absolutely perfected. The people who work here want to make sure that you walk out feeling glorious which I did. Oh and the chairs they have you sit in are not like the typical spa out in the open, the chairs are located in a secluded space, the lights are dim, and the chairs were absolutely enormous and extremely comfortable. They do not have the usual massage chairs that shake you around awkwardly. Instead, they have comfy, overstuffed recliners, complete with blankets and pillows for maximum coziness. Prior to the start of the nail services, you receive a real back, neck, and shoulder massage from a massesue. The massages are consistently amazing and I'm always happy with how my nails look once finished. The soothing music, big comfy chairs, and 15 minute back and neck massage is worth the price of admission itself. I like how they use buckets lined with bags for your feet to soak so you know it's clean. They use feet utensils that come out of a sterilized bag. Had the most enjoyable experience EVER. When my gf Kim and I arrived it was very quiet. We signed in and once we crossed that bridge, it was absolute HEAVEN! The masseur had hands of pure ecstasy. For the next 45min, I was massaged from head to toe. Her pressure was spot on that I nearly fell asleep. Once the massage ended, Hillary arrived to do my pedi. I got alittle worried b/c I hadn't chosen a color for my toes. Not to worry, she excused herself and brought Kim and I the different colored swatches. We chose our colors w/o any stress, and enjoyed our pedis. Then it was time for my long lasting manicure. Very enjoyable. She and I gabbed about everything from our chihuahuas to common interests. 30% batting average is good for a baseball player but not for a spa. I have been to Magic Nails (now known as Mary Chau nails) in Ocoee/Windermere three times. First time, I called to make an appointment for 6:45 pm. I was told they closed at 8:00 so they asked me to get there earlier if possible. Upon arrival, I was rushed. They even turned off the music well before closing and made me check out before getting my services. The receptionist was high strung. Second time, service met my expectations (not phenomenal but good). Third time, I should have known that it was going to be a problem. When I arrived at 3 pm, lady was complaining to manager about nails not being painted properly and the manager wasn't doing anything to rectify the probelm. I asked how long it'd be and I was told 30 minutes. Well...I expected to be out of there by 5 pm even if it took more than 30 minutes to be taken back. I was taken back to get the 5/10 minute massage pre-service 45 minutes after my arrival. After that, I waited over an hour for the nail tech to start her portion at 5 pm. Since I had other business to attend to, I didn't get my eyebrows done and only did polish changes. Upon leaving, supervisor on duty was unapologetic. In sum, I'd rather pay more then receive inconsistent service. read more

I typically get my nails done at a small salon located in a shopping plaza. The service is good, my nails look great, but it isn't the most luxe or relaxing location. It's a solid service, but I wanted to treat myself a bit and was fine with spending more money for a nice experience with a result I was happy with. When I made an appointment at MC Spa, I was looking forward to the promises of a beautiful and relaxing interior as well as superior service. It was bad from the first moment I stepped in. I walked in and was greeted not by four smiling faces but four faces hanging out behind the counter, turned towards each other, talking and laughing. I felt like I interrupted them. When I walked up and said I had an appointment for an acrylic manicure with gel polish, the girl asked my name and then said "Okay, you can pick a polish." I was not directed to where the nail polish is, which I could choose from, or anything like that, or even who to talk to after I chose it. I went back to the desk and she sat me down to wait for another minute. When I go to get my nails done, I want it to be a relaxing treat with friendly customer service staff, not a guessing game as to where to go and what to do next. Once my service had started, the technician started doing gel color before she had done the tips I had made an appointment for. Apparently, there was some miscommunication between her and the front desk...They must have been distracted. Darn, I hate to have had distracted them from their gossiping with my business. The nail tech was very friendly and relaxed, but she said something that caught my attention: "The staff said I smiled and talked to my clients too much." In any kind of customer service work, you can't have ENOUGH smiles! She was very sweet but her services were incredibly subpar. My acrylic nails were placed too high up on my nail. They looked as if they had a week's worth of growth. Additionally, none of the nails looked good together; they were all different shapes, some were crooked, some tips were too big or too small for the actual nail bed. Friends have even called them "busted." It was like the technician tried to shape them all the same but did a terrible job, had no experience selecting tip sizes for people. I was also burned and nicked by some of the tools she used. Despite being snarked at, having my time wasted with the wrong service, crooked, ugly nails, and being burned and cut, I smiled uneasily through the entire service and remained friendly, calm, and polite. If you could take anything away from this review, it would be these few things to expect: - a pretty location - unfriendly front desk staff - overtanned, too-made-up customer service staff who give off the impression that they are better than their clients - busted nails and burned and cut fingers. If my nails looked good, I would have at least been a little bit okay with the uncomfortable experience. But they don't. I'm going back to the little place in the shopping plaza to get these atrocities removed. read more

My masseuse was 'subpar' and the fact that I couldn't wait for the massage to be over was a bit of a shock to me. Usually I don't complain but when asked how the massage was, I replied "um...it was...OK" when asked what happened I explained how the massage was and that I really wasnt happy with it. The response I got from the front desk was "oh I'm sorry, we hate hearing that...would you like to leave a tip? We hope you come back!" This is a really lovely nail salon and spa. It's larger and nicer than any I have ever seen at this price point. I love that they keep the lights low and there are not TVs everywhere. The music is very relaxing as well. They have these great, changeable chairs that allow for a pedicure and massage in the same seat. I got the Happy Feet that includes a pedicure and 25 minutes of massage. The massage is done by a different, licensed massage therapist, than the pedicure. That was nice too.
