Where do I begin. Christie the manager was nasty and rude. They completely messed up my order and according to Christie, their computers were down. Well, she knew what salad I wanted but messed up the details AND the receipt showed exactly what I ordered. She interrupted me nonstop on the phone, blew me off, never apologized and hung up on me because, according to her, she had three other problems. So my problem wasn't important but the other three were. I said I was contacting corporate and she rattled off the spelling of her name. So arrogant and cocky. I won't be caught dead at this place for the rest of my life, or any of their other locations. Whoever put this maniac in charge of interacting with customers, needs an evaluation. read more

Not sure why the negative reviews. Comfortable booths, well staffed, extensive menu. You order at the counter and the staff brings the food when it is ready so if it's slow it's just because they are busy. Halfway through our meal a waitperson asked "how is everything" and was thoughtful. And even more fun you can order remotely or from the table if you don't want to walk the 15 feet to the counter. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent. The horseradish roast beef sandwich was a solid choice, large enough that I took half home. The McAllister club was really good and their famous sweet tea lived up to its billing. In reading the reviews, keep in mind this is often frequented by Coastal Carolina students, and after games the place is packed with rowdy inebriated students who might not be the best judges of the quality of the food or service. read more

The food is always good, have dinned at two locations, both good food and service. My only complaint would be the price for a deli sandwich. Almost $4 for a fountain soda is a bit much. $21 for soup and a 6" sandwich. I gave it a second try and it's my last. read more

The only reason they are getting two stars instead of one is the staff was nice. I had a craving for a Reuben, so I stopped on my way home from running errands. I ordered a sandwich, a salad and a tea and brought it home (less than a mile away). The sandwich was on marble rye, which is a nice touch, however, they did not toast the bread, so it was a soggy mess by the time I got to eat it (less than 10 minutes after they made it); not sure if it was supposed to be pastrami or corned beef, I couldn't tell because the only flavor it had was salt; there wasn't enough sauerkraut on the sandwich to taste it; and there wasn't even Swiss cheese at all. You cannot make a Reuben without Swiss cheese! Since coleslaw was not an option, I got the cucumber tomato salad - fresh cucumber, fresh tomato, onion, some dressing - light, summery, ridiculously easy to make and to make delicious. Yeah, not the case here. Mushy veggies swimming in juice, and again with barely any flavor. Now, these folks are supposedly know for their tea, right? I just ordered a sweet tea, nothing fancy. It was weak and not very sweet. I've literally ordered the exact same at the MB and GC locations, and they were great. Conway needs a new cook. $16+ lunch got pitched. It was awful. read more

Love the French dip sandwich bread is fresh and soft the beef is hot and melty cheese.

Most of the McAlister's I've eaten at have been sub par at best. But I have to tell you this one on 544 by the college in South Carolina is off the hook. I don't know what they are doing right, but they are killing it. The service is outstanding with the counter help making sure your order is correct right down to the pickle. By far the best I've had the pleasure to eat at. Highly recommend. read more

Clean roomy place, looks like it is out of business now.The steak was kind of old and smelly even though it tasted good. Not much ambiance, kind of sterile looking. Too bad under the right management it should be ok, but it doesnt even look like a steak house. Hope someone takes it over and makes a good steakhouse out of it. read more

Ordered my food online, picked it up in the drive thru window. Got all the way home only to find a Hair in my Salad; thank God I saw it while I was adding my saltand Pepper, BEFORE I started eating!! The food was just not good. Never again will I eat here. I can make myself BETTER at home. Nacho's and cheese are nothing more than what they bought from the grocery store, added a huge price increase, which for the Customer equals A VERY expensive version of what I can buy at the grocery store for MUCH less money! Such great food and really friendly staff. They gave veterans, teachers, and first responders free food for their "soft opening" but you'd have thought we were all paying customers. The staff went above and beyond to explain things to us and I am so happy to have a new lunch option to enjoy with my coworkers. read more

First time there the other day. All I wanted was a basic roast beef, American cheese, L/T and mayo on a grinder roll. I was very specific. Bad vibe from the start when the kid behind the counter stated the only have "baget French" rolls. And their roast beef was designed to be "hot" ...had I only known... He had to yell back to the staff that the roast beef is a "cold order".. he then told me that the cheese was just placed on to of the bread... WTF. You cant put it ON the sandwich like 99% of the normal world would do...?? Very, very disappointing.. possible the WORST sandwich ever. It's a standard McAlister's. Service was good and everyone was nice. The restaurant was clean and tidy. I ordered a half and half with Country Potato Soup and a Caesar salad. I asked for the Country Potato soup without scallions and it came out made to order and hot. It was a good soup. The Caesar salad was a normal Caesar salad with cheese and croutons. No complaints. The food came out fairly quickly and was presented well. The two workers at the counter came out to check on use twice which was a nice touch. read more

Came in today and had a $25 gift card. There was a balance on it when I checked online yet their system wasn't reading it for some reason. The manager Derrick ended up discounting it and calling it even this time after the employees Connelly and Brooklyn tried several times to punch in the code and pin. I walked into this place with previous knowledge of the menu, had high expectations. I order half the menu, and everything surpassed my expectations. Let me just start with this I'm a employee that works at a McAlister the food is fresh frozen and the staff in the back is very toxic towards new employee's. They want to pay bare minimum and work you too much, also food wise all soups are frozen most soups will be a months old before defrosting. The meat is fresh frozen and lastly the dishes they dip it in the same water as everybody's spoons and forks and plates gets washed with the dirt water with the spoons and forks, then finally the dishes where the food comes from is all washed the same way but the food containers are washed at a c- food rating I have no clue how it's a A rating when I goto grab a container it still has food in it after "being washed". I would put a lower star because the restraint isn't worth spending your hard money in you can goto any other place and get more bang for your buck. read more

I am in the process of starting a protest for people not to utilize any of the businesses in this complex until they have let Dukes towing out of their contract. Dukes has being going there towing people that have eating there or whatever and have been very rude to the staff. Dukes is a rip off and Conway police even stated that they need shut down for running a business. Dukes does not care about their service so at this point i will go and let the businesses know that dealing with them will hurt their business. this will be all over social media until the issue is fixed. read more

Terrible service! I ordered a delivery order at approximately 3:00 pm. on March 18, 2021, online. After 2 1/2 hours, I hadn't received it. I called the store, and no one would answer the phone. I then received an email stating my order was canceled. No reason was given. My credit card had been charged. I called McAlister's the next day. I talked to a rude manager that let me know he was too busy to assist me. All I wanted was for the charge to be reversed on my credit card. He said he would call me back after a while, which he didn't do. He didn't reverse the charge on my credit card. I could not get in touch with him again. I finally had to dispute charges on my credit card. You will never get my business again. I don't deal with rudeness and incompetence. There are too many other places to eat. I would rate this zero stars if it would let me. read more

Today I placed an online order for lunch, which was very easy. My husband thought his huge grilled chicken/strawberry/pecan salad was very delicious. I ordered the "2" with 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and a 1/2 of the chicken grilled sandwich. Both were very good. This was our first time ordering at McAlister's, online ordering worked very well we will do it again soon. read more

I ordered the French dip sandwich. For the price I expected more that 6 in. Last time I ordered, it was. The bread was so stale that I had to soak in Au jus to soften the bread. They sent me the wrong side. The meat was cold. If I ever order from them again, it won't be from this location read more
