I had never visited this restaurant before I did this past Friday, but I want to relate the interaction with the staff members - they were incredibly helpful and understanding of both my ignorance with their drive up window procedures/ rules as well as the fact that Am disabled and was unable to walk in and place my order. Despite this, they allowed me to place and pay for my order at the window (not a drive-thru, but a pick-up window). Exceptionally good customer service! Last 2 times I ordered from here I was not happy. A month ago ordered the chicken salad on a croissant. The croissant was stale and they smushed it down so it was totally flat defeating the whole purpose of a croissant, grrrr!!! Decided to give them one last try last night. We ordered the Cajun Red Beans and rice because we decided we wanted to try something different --What we were served looked like dried out refried beans. They were very thick and paste-y. I asked if they contained meat and was told , no. My husband thought he tasted sausage in it. I decided to look up the McAlister's menu online--and sure enough---sausage--Not a problem if you like sausage......but the photo online looked NOTHING like what we were served. All food was consistent with traditional McAlister's except the veggie chili was basically juice only 1 spoon of beans . Although completely watery the flavor was still good . Employee's were friendly once they warmed up to talking to someone. 4/5 stars because the chili was unacceptable . Hopefully my next trip thru in 2 weeks it will be better read more

We stopped by on the way to Coastal. We can always expect consistency from McAlisters, and compared to many fast food options around, we wanted something lighter. I came in here and the ladies that were making the food was eating and fixing plates. This was so so nasty to put your hand in your mouth and touch someone's food. Reviews are wrong we got our food within 5 mins of ordering. Ladies were very nice and helpful.

A few minor order mishaps like missing a pickle or missing avacado but food is decent.

Ordered food, picked up thru drive thru. The bag was filled to the rim barely got it to fit thru my window and as I'm trying the lady at the window says here's your straws as I'm struggling. Order should have been broken up into 2 bags. She struggled getting my drinks into a carrier. She handing them out the window as I'm saying hold on let me take off my seatbelt. They were crooked and I had to hold them my way home. read more

My friend and I went to lunch, and as we were finishing, my friend's son noticed there was a really long strand of blonde hair in my dressing. I was thoroughly disgusted;it wasn't my hair-my hair is black, my friend's hair is caramel, and her son's hair is curly and blonde. I spoke to one of the employees -Who just so happened to have long blonde hair, and at first she just stood there in silence. Then she asked if it was in my salad or the dressing! AS IF IT MADE A DIFFERENCE! After we stared at her in confusion, she gave me a very pitiful, "I'm sorry" and said she'd take care of it. We sat and patiently waited. I made eye contact with her, and she still chose to do nothing about it or have a manager come over and apologize-whatsoever. We left in disbelief. The audacity. As understanding as I'm trying to be during this time I can't write a review better than the 1 star that I'm giving. I waited an over an hour last Wednesday for my lunch (online order). Tonight I ordered my families dinner and right before my food was finally ready "to go" they informed me that they were out of pizza for my child. If they would have informed me earlier then I wouldn't have ordered anything and went somewhere else. Instead I got food for my wife and I and then had to go to another restaurant and wait in line (while my food got cold) to get him something. I've wasted too much time at this place already to give them another chance to waste more. It's a very convenient drive for me but I will be going to the location across town when I want McAlister's. well i was a real big fan of mcalister's yes a big big fan ! until i went to the mcalister's in conway. been to different location from the the mall to highway 17 to murrells inlet to highway 544 and get this we live in conway so yes it wasn't just around the corner for lunch but some what of a travel. never had a problem with service nor food. but along came mcalister's of conway ! ! first time bad real bad but hey new openning so things can happen. second trip same thing sucked went from bad to worst. three day's ago we go back for third time oh my god there goes mcalister's ! ! food suck ! service bad real bad the employee behind the counter had no idea on how to handle service. we were next in line this guy did more talking about each sandwich yes each sandwich i myself was getting upset but wife knowing i like mcalister's stayed calm. no kidding almost four minutes later we came close to getting waited on. ok let it go we ordered our lunch along with ice sweat tea (joke ) yes got ice got sweat and warm tea nothing cold about it. i do mean warm. wow only been ! ! ! seventeen (17) minutes and we got our food. ok so let's blame employees not enough staff ! ! can happen right ! ! ! here is the kicker " sandwich ?? or sandwich ??? is it or isn"t it ??? a sandwich ???? terrible ! ! ! so no longer a fan of mcalister's that's is not going into don't do it again folder. only good thing about it was new delli opened not to far from there read more
