To my surprise we walked into a completely empty restaurant (uh oh!); of course we had the option to sit anywhere. We sat and placed our order quickly. Took a bit longer than expected to get a house salad, 10 pc L&P wings, and a medium pepperoni & mushroom pizza. First of all this NY Pizza is located inside the Bluewater Resort. I see pictures on here that show a different location and a review of the Kings Hwy location on here. They have several locations in town. I was staying across the street in one of the 2 smaller buildings of Bluewater Resort which I think they call the Villas. Anyway , my first night , September 19 , I was tired from driving in and didn't feel like driving somewhere else to eat so I walked across the street after finding it on Yelp. I have to say I was really impressed with the pizza. Especially after reading some of the reviews I wasn't expecting good pizza or good service. I just wanted a personal pizza to take back to my room and eat out on the balcony , which is exactly what I did. I got a Small Meat Lovers Pizza and the quality of the pizza and the taste was really good. I live in Las Vegas and we have sooo many pizza places it's crazy , gourmet , chains , mom and pops , New York , Chicago , you name it. It was $12.67 total which is a good deal for a tourist town. They have a bar inside and there were a couple customers sitting there having good conversations and having a few drinks. Big TVs playing sports and such , dining area with a few people eating and they had a few cakes on display. They of course sell other food items other than pizza. I would recommend coming here if you are staying at Bluewater or the surrounding area. The sign outside says it's open to the public. Upon walking in, we were greeted with a smile. The food smelt good. We were seated right away. Isis was our waitress. So friendly and kind. We ordered the large pizza. Half meat lovers,half barbecue chicken. The pizza was fresh tasting. It was a thin crust. It's not crispy, but that's okay. It held up well. The crust was tasty. It's very simple and just merly perfect tasting. The taste was in the sauce and the ingredients that tasted fresh. The chicken tasted very good. The onions were slightly cooked down but not completely. You have a bite still but almost like a tender soft crunch to the onion. The bbq sauce wasn't tangy but not too sweet. I'm telling you guys it balanced everything well. The only suggestion I would make is to use red onions and incorporate them under or in the sauce. Now, the number of slices in the large was 8 slices. There were 3 in our party. The slice is big. We all did 2 slices each. One of each kind. Then my 12 year old son had the last meat lovers slice. My husband and I cut the barbecue chicken slice in half and finished it. We are semi good eaters. And this amount made us full. We drank a full glass of water. Today we stopped in after months of wanting to check this place out. Usually I have passed this place and its always hopping, but today well our city has been quite slow, so I thought I would take advantage of this moment and do a review. For months I have passed this place and from the outside it is an odd shaped building, but I think that is what drew me in. The over all appearance is quite nice with its bright red and white stripped awnings and huge lettering. It was very appealing to the eye. The outside parking lot was clean and inviting. Upon entering we were greeted by Christy who was very pleasant and sat us in a nice table. The overall appearance of the restaurant was that it seemed very clean and organized and it smelled like a NY pizzeria. Christy brought our menus and my tasting partner and I decided that she was having the meatball Parmesan hot sub and I was going to try their personal meat lovers pizza. I usually try the chicken Parmesan anytime I go somewhere but the pizza smelled delicious. The menu is nice not too long and not too short. Prices seemed to be average for the area which was nice. They had a good selection of things to chose from. I personally cant stand huge menu with pages of things to choose from for it make my life a nightmare with so many choices, but this menu was just perfect. Well shortly Christy was back with our food and it looked and smelled really tasty! Ok, so we couldn't resist anymore with just smelling and looking, we needed to taste. Well the garlic alone was amazing. Such a strong aroma, I knew I was gonna like it. I wasn't wrong. This is probably the first time having pizza in SC that I actually liked and would have again. The taste of the meats and the sauce and garlic were quite delicious! My partner enjoyed her meatball Parmesan sub. It was a little hard to eat but Christy saved the day by bringing a wrap to help her eat the gooey deliciousness that she was craving. The cheese on the both pizza and sub were stringy, think and oh so yummy! A special thanks to Christy for the great service!! So after chatting with each other we came up with of rating and agreed this place rocked and we would definitely come back again. We rate on rating of 5 Golden Forks, with 1 being the lowest and 5 the best! And Ny Pizza Kitchen Bar & Grill is a 5 Golden Fork rating! I try not to leave bad reviews for any place, but this food was just the worst and I hope anyone reading this doesn't waste their hard earned money on this. We ordered 2 pizzas, spaghetti and meatballs, caesar salad, and some garlic knots. All of it was terrible. The pizzas weren't even cooked in the middle and so soggy. The spaghetti and meatballs had so much oregano piled on top that it wasn't even edible. The garlic knots were unlike any garlic knots I've seen before and were hard as a rock. I give the caesar a 2. you can tell nothing is made in house and is bought from a food distributor. Sysco or U.S. Foods. Worst $90 I've seriously ever spent. The food was great. Went with 4 other people and everyone loved their food. None of us at the pizza but the people sat next to us had some and they licked their plates cleaned. We were helped within seconds of entering the restaurant and everyone was very nice and accommodating. The food was fast and literally perfect. That's very common nowadays, but when we asked her about it, she could not explain it to us.
