Their Chicago style beef sandwich was lacking. Adding vegetables to the sandwich could be over looked if it was a giardiniera topping. The beef was thickly sliced. It should be thin, think Arby's style. They offer a dipping sauce rather than a "dip". That's ok. Now that Portillo's Hot Dogs has opened on the Eastside, I will make the drive there for Chicago Style Beef sandwiches. read more

This was our first visit to McAlister's Deli, and will not be our last! We ordered The New Yorker which was loaded with corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese and spicy brown mustard, and a ham & cheese melt! It had Black Forest ham, Swiss, brown mustard, tomato on ciabatta bread. They were amazingly good! Oh, and a side comes with an order of a full sandwich. So my first visit was take out. Ordered for a family of 4. There was soo many options so we went with cravings. I ordered the McAlister's club and it was good with the honey mustard. I also love broccoli n cheddar soup so I had to try it. It is only a side option on the app. I really wish they would offer it as a bowl and fill it up to the top of the cup. My wife ordered half chicken club and half salad. Her sandwich was half gone by the time I was able to take the pic but I did taste it and it has a light charbroiled flavor which we love. My in laws ordered salads and are huge. The price is WORTH the food they give you. All portions even to go are great. I also got a free tea for joining the rewards and it's a large size. I added peach and it was delicious... though, the flavor is kind of hard to last the whole time. I have to mix and mix and mix. We will definitely be back!! read more

Missing sandwich when our food was delivered from the Zaragoza store. Called, and was told we could go get it today or another day!! My husband drove over to get it and not even a mention of a refund, partial or otherwise!! When he spoke to the manager the person threw in a brownie. I had a French Dip with brown water for dipping............So that was our last time and probably our friends also, when they hear about this. Many of the sandwiches and salads at McAllister deli are delicious and generously sized. Their monthly tea pass option could be improved, their tea is very good. After shelling out $8 + tax for a monthly pass, there is a.11 cent fee for each order of tea made through the app. I was told by the manager that the restaurant doesn't want to pay for the cup or added tax so the fee. They start with 29 days of tea passes in the app, not 30, but less than 29 of those days are visible in the app. Since the app is considered third-party, the restaurant is not responsible. Just a heads up on that Tea pass option. read more

Today was the first day of business for this new McAllisters location. As part if their grand opening they iffered a free meal to veterans. So on the way home from a visit to the vet, we stopped by. On this first day, things were a bit chaotic, but the staff was working very hard to keep things running smoothly. I have mobility issues and there is no drive thru (although they said we can order on line and pick up at the window. We will do that on the next visit. This time, I stayed in the car with our 2 dogs while my wife handled the order. I must say the menu is pretty extensive and will require some studying. This time we chose familiar items-- my wife got her usual French Dip and I went with the King Club. Sandwiches come ala carte or in combos and there are numerous sides to choose from, when they say " King" club, they ain't kidding. This thing was massive. It was actually so big it was hard to hold and eat, so I finished it with a knife and fork. It was very, very good. The only down side was that by the time we got back home, the toasted bread had lost its crispiness. We also got two amazing slices of carrot cake for desert. I have now downloaded their app to study the menus and prepare for our next trip. This location makes a nice addition to the neighborhood and sharing its building with Stone Cold creamery is a big plus. read more

Walked in at 8:15pm online says they close at 9pm but walked in to an empty place young lady in the back looked at me and quickly rolled her eyes and ran to one of the other employees (young man with a curly mullet) he was kind and took my order making me feel with each question that I will regret this order. Then he made it a point to go to the back and push a mop bucket to the front of the store as to tell me "hey we are about to close" without saying they were about to close. I would have actually respected them had they told me "hey we are about to close" but they took my order like it was a huge bother to them. Nobody likes staying at work late I get that. But a customer should never feel like they regret ordering food because they didn't know when you close. Or that you did your pre close duties too soon. I know they are young kids and don't truly care about their job because after they go away for college they will forget about these small lessons in life and how this customer normally tips $100 per person if they feel like they were treated with respect and care. But if the young lady in the back is a representative of McCalisters they will not be in business long. The young man did keep his cool and tried his best to remain professional...... I guess I should try the food .... BRB ....... Oh boy. I almost want to delete this review because I feel that sandwich wasn't even worth my time and effort. But here we go. You know when you are extremely hungry and even a piece of bread taste amazing. Well this bread sandwich was just that. All I tasted was the bread and the pile of avacado on the sandwich. Side note this was a supposed to be a Turkey melt (maybe I ordered wrong) the bread was pretty good didn't taste much Turkey, tons of lettuce, nothing else had flavor. Oh wait I take that back the bag of Ms Vicki sea salt chips had tons of flavor. The lemonade was pretty tasty too. I wanted the young lady eye roll to be the worst thing about my visit. I was looking forward to a new sandwich place in addition to the ones we already have. Huge disappointment!!! As I ordered for my husband and myself, I was asked if I wanted pickles with the sandwiches. The meals came without pickles. The young lady bringing them out was very unfriendly and practically threw the plastic trays onto the table. When I asked about the pickles, she just made a comment that I couldn't understand. Ok, forget about the pickles already. I had ordered the French dip sandwich and my husband the Club. His was ok, mine didn't have any cheese. No cheese! Not a little bit of cheese, nothing, nada, null, nilch! How can this be with about 4-5 guys in the kitchen, milling around waiting for business. Which brings me to my next point. I understand that workers are entitled to breaks, they deserve every minute of it. However, please provide them with a room where they can put up their tired feet or take a nap, where they can play games on their phones or watch tiktok.
