The sandwich itself was really good and the fries were crispy and tasty. The chicken was just a little on the thicker side, but still flavorful. We also had the smoked salmon, which was very filling and tasty. The only thing that fell a bit flat were the potatoes, which were a little bland. The vibe had good energy and felt like a nice brunch spot to hang out. A big plus was the fresh orange juice. When we arrived on a Saturday morning the restaurant was very busy with a 55 min wait for 3 people. Which was honestly a good sign this place was popular with great food. Luckily we were able to snag 3 seats at the bar without a wait. The food was amazing! The chilaquiles is a must try. I personally love spicy food and did not think it was spicy at all. But my friend who has a low spice tolerance felt her was a bit spicy. So if you have a spice sensitivity be mindful of this. But honestly that's most places in El Paso. We had some errands to handle and then started the hunt for brunch/lunch options. After reading reviews, Grove Brunch Cafe rose to the top of our choices. Once again it's the mom, dad and me trio! We started with calamari and sadly, it came out overcooked. When the coating is dark brown, the possibility of being overcooked is more of a reality. The sauce for the calamari was flavorful and a nice accent. It was an ok appetizer, and the next time I would just ask them to make sure to not overdo the cooking time. I asked about their OJ and it is freshly squeezed - and it was delicious. Not super sweet and very good. Mom got the spinach garlic pasta and dad and I both ordered crab cakes Benedict. I stayed with poached eggs and my dad did over easy eggs. The Crab-cake would not make it as a stand alone item (my history is growing up in Maryland and California, so anything crab is going to face a huge challenge) but it was spot on in the combo. I'm not a tomato fan, so I should have asked them to leave that off, but my dad liked his. Now let's talk house potatoes. YUMMY! The suggestion I would make is cut your potatoes thinner so there are more crispy little ones. But that's a preference thing - I like 'em crispy! Mom's pasta was good. It had Roma tomatoes not sun dried, and she wanted sun dried tomatoes (that's what was on the menu). That was a big miss for her. Visited Grove Brunch Café with my family while we were in El Paso visiting relatives, and we were really impressed. The food was really good, like surprisingly good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal, and my husband is still talking about his chicken and waffles, he already hopes we can come back again. The service was pretty good, and our server was really friendly. Making a reservation was super easy, though it wasn't very busy when we went, so it probably wasn't necessary. We stopped in here on the way to the airport. I don't eat much for breakfast and prefer more of a brunch time, but our flight didn't allow for that. There were so many good things on the menu! They were all hearty and I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all. We got there shortly after they opened and there were only a few people there. By the time we left, it was much busier. The hostess and our server were both very friendly. Two of us ordered lattes and my husband got black coffee. The lattes were great but my husband said the coffee was pretty bad. I am happy I could finally eat at Grove Brunch Cafe without a wait. The restaurant opened not too long ago. This location is at Northeast El Paso on Gateway and close to Transmountain. I had visited their west side location several times, but each time I visited, the wait time was over an hour, so I never actually waited, and I didn't eat there. Parking at Grove Brunch Cafe can be tight on the weekends because they share their parking lot with other good restaurants, but inside, they have beautiful decor and attentive customer service. For an appetizer, I ordered the Bruschetta Trio, and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. My partner ordered the Grilled Salmon and loved it. He said it had a home-like taste. I ordered the Grilled Steak Tacos. The tacos were sweet, not Mexican-style. For Dessert, I had the Tiramisu, my favorite, and a giant berry macaroon. I also ordered a lemon ginger refresher and loved it. If you quickly get chilly, I suggest you take a sweater because I was cold the whole time I was there, but I was glad they sold hot tea. read more

We decided to get breakfast here on a Sunday. They were really packed. We put our name on the list, as requested. A few minutes later, the same person who took our name and number asked us if we have been waiting long and then chimed in with " I thought you'd left". I am not sure, but we are quite possibly not invisible. I've watched them use the same "cleaning" cloth to wipe down tables, chairs, menus and....silverware. At least have some different color cloths to use, that was thoroughly disgusting and I am sure a Health Dept inspection would have fun with that. We were finally sat at a table, and a wet chair. Yup, they wiped the chair and left it wet. The service was subpar, slow. Not a single of the people working there seemed interested to do their job and took their time. My orange juice ( a mere 100ml for $8) took forever to be delivered. I am pretty sure that they were chasing oranges down 54, trying to catch them and squeeze them. Expensive for a "large orange juice". I am pretty sure there was no regular oj, if the large one was just 100ml. Also, very, very watered down. They came to refill the coffee, but seemed bothered by having to do that.... The food was not the best I had in this type of establishment. The pancakes didn't taste like they were made with buttermilk. Overall, a sad experience, too expensive for the quality and quantity of food, and the quality of service. We came to Grove for the first time on October 27, 2025. It lives up to the hype. I had the French toast sandwich. The bread was large and the fried egg batter was crispy and super tasty. The bacon was fine, a bit overcooked but not burned. I did not like the jam that comes in the sandwich but my son did. Not a problem I will ask for my next sandwich without. The coffee is super. Not too heavy but with a smoky flavor. My son had waffles and they were delicious. My wife love the huevos rancheros, which are served in a soupy broth and in a skillet. The restaurant is beautiful as is the patio with a great view of the mountain - but halfway through they started misted fans that was a bit extreme for eleven AM. The food was ok - the hash had only four pieces of pork belly and was primarily olives. They did not get my friends order correct - she was given the same hash as me despite hers being more expensive, the manager gave 20 percent off her meal because she "ate so much." When she only ate half and it still wasn't what she ordered (took that long to get menu to check). Overall very poor experience. Hope they get it together. read more

Superb service, great menu, and excellent "breakfast" drinks. My wife and I went here on a Sunday morning before the crowds came in and absolutely loved it. This is a must try breakfast place and they have everything for everyone. I went with their kimchi fried rice with the pork belly and devoured it. The arugula adds a sweet touch to the savory kimchi. The French toast plate comes with bananas, whipped cream and strawberries. My kids loved it and they even let me have some. Their mimosas are spot on. Who said this was only for brunch?? I just had my dinner and had one of the best brunches for dinner ever! Super cute ambiance and very relaxing. Great music was playing that was very soothing and jazzy versions of hip hop and rocks songs like Britney Spears or Guns n Roses. Just Heavenly. That told me enough and that it wasn't too strong for the drive home. I ordered enough for three people which was probably why my waitress was confused lol. So I decided to try something new for brunch for New Year's Day. So we decided to go have brunch at the Grove. To get started the place is super cute, the music is nice and the overall ambience is really good. I have no complaint about the service as they appeared to be plenty of servers at our hostess was pretty cool and fairly attentive. So I have no complaints about the overall building And service. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and the style of Mexican food is definitely different. I think I needed a spoon to eat them as the well rancheros was served in a small skillet and drowned in some sort of tomato sauce that was like the tomato sauce they use in pasta, like lasagna. Was it the worst? No. But it's definitely not your traditional Mexican huevos rancheros. We also got a plate with pancakes. Hey, great job on the pancakes and a bowl of fruit. That was cool and nice. My date had some chicken Chilaquiles. Again, not the worst however, the salsa was lacking. Perhaps it's geared towards a more non-traditional chilaquiles eater? Like I say, they weren't the worst, they just didn't have that traditional Mexican kick to them. I mean I would definitely recommend a place as it has a cute ambience. The mimosas were good and the building was nice and clean. And one last thing, I ordered an Americano, which I usually drink black.
