After almost five months away, we returned with high hopes. Unfortunately, consistency fell short--different servers each day. I ordered a lavender latte, but it arrived plain. The server did bring me some lavender syrup on the side. The chilaquiles were dry, with barely any sauce buried at the bottom... i had to dig through to find what seemed like MAYBE 2 tablespoons of green sauce. We didn't add chicken, because nearly $8 extra felt like California pricing in El Paso. For the cost, it was underwhelming. We hope they refine consistency and attention to detail--there's potential here.

We had some errands to handle and then started the hunt for brunch/lunch options. After reading reviews, Grove Brunch Cafe rose to the top of our choices. Once again it's the mom, dad and me trio! We started with calamari and sadly, it came out overcooked. When the coating is dark brown, the possibility of being overcooked is more of a reality. The sauce for the calamari was flavorful and a nice accent. It was an ok appetizer, and the next time I would just ask them to make sure to not overdo the cooking time. I asked about their OJ and it is freshly squeezed - and it was delicious. Not super sweet and very good. Mom got the spinach garlic pasta and dad and I both ordered crab cakes Benedict. I stayed with poached eggs and my dad did over easy eggs. The Crab-cake would not make it as a stand alone item (my history is growing up in Maryland and California, so anything crab is going to face a huge challenge) but it was spot on in the combo. I'm not a tomato fan, so I should have asked them to leave that off, but my dad liked his. Now let's talk house potatoes. YUMMY! The suggestion I would make is cut your potatoes thinner so there are more crispy little ones. But that's a preference thing - I like 'em crispy! Mom's pasta was good. It had Roma tomatoes not sun dried, and she wanted sun dried tomatoes (that's what was on the menu). That was a big miss for her. But the spinach noodles were cooked just right and the asparagus was tiny stems and good.

Visited Grove Brunch Café with my family while we were in El Paso visiting relatives, and we were really impressed. The food was really good, like surprisingly good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal, and my husband is still talking about his chicken and waffles, he already hopes we can come back again. The service was pretty good, and our server was really friendly. Making a reservation was super easy, though it wasn't very busy when we went, so it probably wasn't necessary. Still, the food came out fresh and everything tasted great. I personally loved my meal, it had such a great flavor. Overall, it was a great brunch spot with tasty food, good service, and a chill vibe. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in town.

We stopped in here on the way to the airport. I don't eat much for breakfast and prefer more of a brunch time, but our flight didn't allow for that. There were so many good things on the menu! They were all hearty and I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all. We got there shortly after they opened and there were only a few people there. By the time we left, it was much busier. The hostess and our server were both very friendly. Two of us ordered lattes and my husband got black coffee. The lattes were great but my husband said the coffee was pretty bad. As expected, the portions were huge and none of us could finish our meals! It's a cute place and they do have some outdoor seating. I'd go back!

The food is amazing, a good fusion of Italian, Asian, Mexican and normal brunch offerings. It was kinda full so the wait was longer but we decided to stay at the heated patio.

While staying at the nearby Towne Place hotel, we were looking for a better breakfast than the basic food provided by the hotel. The Grove was perfect. Their coffee is light and smooth. Their salmon egg Benedict was so good yesterday that I am trying the regular pork belly Benedict today to compare! To the folks that complain about service, was this during the weekend? Because on the weekdays, we got perfect and friendly service.

Food was great. My ribeye was cooked perfectly at a medium-rare (a little salty), sweet potatoes and over easy eggs were a great combination. Our cappuccinos were yummy and cute and my husband's pancakes were nice a fluffy. It was a cute and quiet place for brunch. I loved the decorations and our waitress was friendly and attentive. It was a bit pricier but worth the occasional treat.

I have been to this restaurant at several locations. The brunch is excellent. The pancakes and waffles are very good. The potatoes are amazing. People have complained that this place is always crowded but when I have gone there, I've never experienced that.

The water is filtered and the ambiance and staff were great! Everything is made fresh, flavorful and the inside interior is one to enjoy. I was told that they have an upstairs dining patio but it was closed during our time of visit. The pineapple mimosa had me quite satisfied as we waited with our shareable item, cooked very well. We got the loaded bacon/cheese fries. The chicken Ceasar salad was a large and quite tasty portion, while my sister had the Grover burger with bacon! I've read prior reviews/comments about service but I will say, our service it was phenomenal. Special recognition to our server, Fabi. They close at 4pm, we arrived around 2:35pm as others were wrapping up, the inside was empty and two tables were outside in the patio. So there was no noise or chaos (PLUS)!! The location was peaceful, plenty of parking and overall a great vibe to re-visit for another boozy afternoon.

There is minimal seating on the inside-- a couch and maybe a few bar seats available. The decor was minimal, but fun! There is free wifi and a password posted. More seating is available outside, but I believe this is shared with the neighboring restaurant. My friend and I were welcomed upon entry and the staff was very friendly. I had a question about something on the menu and the guy behind the bar was able to answer quickly. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks, a coconut cold brew. I just got it black with the coconut cold foam and it really hit the spot! I only ordered the 16oz, but I kind of wish I had gotten the larger size. They offer a military (spouses included!) and first responder discount, which is really sweet. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience and have plans to return for another visit.

With mashed potatoes and veggie medley, and soup and iced tea for just $12.95! Well JACKPOT! I ordered and this soup came first it was a chickeny flavored tomato broth with tortilla strips and melty white cheese. The broth was WAAAAY to salty. But I liked the concept. It had no veggies or any meaning it. So I ate out the chips and cheese and I would have liked to enjoy that broth but it was so so salty I just could not. When my plate came it was a nice spiced grilled ground round Pattie covered in hot brown gravy with thin sliced onions and small thin sliced fresh mushrooms. Homemade real mashed potatoes, and veggies mix of corn, carrots, peas, and green beans. If it had a dinner roll, it would have been dinner at my house growing up any night of the week. It was so good, the veggies could have used some butter on them. The gravy was great on the meat and potatoes. Sorry I didn't get a pic of that plate, but I was so hungry I just dug in and by the time I thought of a pic, it was half way gone. The clock inside isn't winning any beauty contests. It's still same as it's always been. I think maybe I'd set all the clocks to the correct time or the correct time somewhere and make sure they all worked if possible or had good batteries. Be great if the coco clocks, if any, went off every hour. Bring some more character to the old place, and favorite of many. Come get dinner some after noon or late afternoon. It's a great deal... there were only 2-3 other tables when I got there and when I left no one was there . So you can definitely come get a good cup of Joe and some good food in the afternoon, it's not just for breakfast, which it IS FAMOUS FOR.

As we're close to the Army base some of the items have received GI nicknames as was the case with biscuits and gravy (SOS on the menu!).
