Com suon
Huyen N.

It's been a few years since we last dined in. Food was not as bad as I remembered. The com suon was probably the best out of everything we ordered. Service was still the same, as I'm not surprised.

After almost a decade of patroning Henry's Cafe, I am disappointed to have to write this review of our recent experience. A few days ago, we had lunch at Henry's and I ordered a pork rice plate. I received the pork rice plate (which was quite average), but also received a fried egg with my order. When we paid for the meal, there was a charge of $5 for the egg in addition to $15 for the rice plate. There was no mention of a fried egg included with the rice plate on the menu. When we confronted the waitress, she nonchalantly stated that "the egg is included with the rice plate and just charged separately." I've ordered rice plates here previously and never heard of this. I wasn't sure if this was new since they had recently updated their menu. Make it make sense. I'm not sure whether she mistakenly thought I ordered the egg and was just covering her mistake, but rather than confirm this when ordering or apologizing later, she said this was the practice. The waitress continued to be very defensive as we inquired about the charge and just responded that she "doesn't make the prices." These deceitful practices to make a quick buck are unacceptable. Given this sour experience, my family will no longer patron Henry's and will advise our friends and family to be wary of eating here. If you want good Vietnamese food, just go down the street to Kien Giang or Vung Tau instead.

Chicken pho

I ordered the chicken pho and I absolutely loved it!! It was so delicious. I've tried many Vietnamese pho places near biloxi but this one truly was the best. The broth was so clear and clean tasting; didn't feel guilty at all drinking the soup. All the other pho places I've tried had super greasy, fatty pho broth. For the chicken pho, I asked to get the chicken without the bones and skin. It's a bit pricier than other pho locations but the taste made it up for me. They are also military friendly as well and offer military discount! Great food, service, and clean ambience :)

a meat sandwich

If you know me, you know that I don't really complain about food, but I'm really sad about this one. Vietnamese banh mi sandwich is his and mine favorite kind of sandwich. We were in Biloxi so of course we had to pick up some banh mi! I got a few to bring back home for my sister, we live 3 hours away. Cold cuts usually contains head cheese, cha lua pork sausage, and sliced pork, it had all of that, but there wasn't even enough meat to cover the whole sandwich. One thin sliced head cheese, one thin sliced pork... I ended up taking meat from my other sandwich to make one sandwich. It's bad when my sister said I actually got more meat than her The owner was there so I guess this is how their usual is. Their Vietnamese coffee and pate chaud was great though!

My absolute favorite spot to come and get a Vietnamese style poboy!! Their bread is AMAZING and I believe is made in house!

Hidden gem, the food is great and fresh! I love the family atmosphere & the overall vibe of the restaurant! I had the teriyaki chicken Banh Mi w/ Lychee Milk Tea, and they did not disappoint!

I had a wonderful Bahn mi and a loaf of baguette to go. Will have to return with family and friends to check out the rest of the menu.

I was craving a bowl of pho, so I was beyond elated to receive delivery from here. I ordered the Tai Nam Gam (Size: Supersize), which came with Beef Eye Round, Brisket, and Soft Tendon. The entire bowl of pho was beyond satisfying and palatable. The broth was flavorful and the meats, especially the soft tendon, were dynamite. I appreciated that the rice noodles, basil leaves, jalapeno slices, onions, cilantro, and limes were fantastic complements to enhance the dish. I also had the Beef Fried Rice, which came with a side of soup and sauce. It was also very delicious. Overall, Hana Pho serves phenomenal Vietnamese/Pan-Asian food in the Southern U.S. I highly recommend trying this restaurant either by visiting in person or ordering through DoorDash.

I have been here about 4 times and the food has been great every time. The pad thai is decent. The pork chop with rice is very good. The marinade on it is delicious. The service here is 50/50 depending on who is working. The older lady is very sweet and attentive. The middle aged one seems indifferent and not very hospitable but that may just be her normal demeanor so I don't fault them for it. The restaurant has always been clean. The first time coming here I didn't know that you go up to the register to pay so we were waiting for the check for a bit.

There are pork cracklings in the sauce with the fatty catfish chunks. I'm typically not a fan of catfish fat (too fishy for my palate) but here I didn't mind at all. Picture this: pork fat mixed in with almost pure catfish fat all drowned in sauce and coating the rice. What a pleasure for the senses! No one told them none of this is supposed to work together and God bless them for not saying. I'm blown away. I'm a huge fan of the dish but this is the best I've had. Bravo chef!

To say I was disappointed is an understatement, before ordering I asked the lady behind the counter what was the difference between the entrees of lemongrass chicken bc one came with broth and pickled vegs and the other with small rice . The lady said it was the same except the other is a bigger portion for $2 more I believe, so I ordered 2 entrees and asked about the $3 extra for xtra large plate but I was assured "this lot foot" so I said ok ...my total was $32.10 for 2 entrees , needless to say when I came home expecting to feed 4 people I was extremely disappointed at the portion size for the price and contents . I don't know if thru didn't wanna cook anymore food considering they were 45 min from closing but I WILL NOT be back . I'm guessing it's the reason she put 2 small cups of broth that were supposed to be in the other entree , no thanks for the broth just give me my proper portion size and keep the broth for the price paid !

I could not leave empty handed. I declined to get the Taro milk tea this time. I instead picked up a cinnamon roll and cream cheese roll. They just brought them out and so I had to get them. The cream cheese roll is freshly baked with some sort of soft dessert dough. It is layered with cream cheese frosting and chocolate frosting too. It tastes really good and not too sweet. The coconut cinnamon roll is freshly baked. The has hint of cinnamon and raisins found in the roll. Of course it tastes delicious with that pillow soft sweet dough. With light sprinkling of freshly shredded coconut on top. They taste so great! So delicious and sweet. You cannot wait to take your goods home to indulge. They do offer few outdoor tables on the side. Definitely recommend it if you are in the mood and the weather permits. Also happen to grab a batch of rolls since they just baked them too. The server I had was really nice and attentive as he came and checked in and filled my water up. Some servers just leave you alone and I just at and answered my questions on some of the prices like lobster and the duck. Here is what I ordered: 1. BBQ Roasted duck 2. Surf and Turf 3. Shrimp Stir Fry Now of course I did not eat everything and took some food to go. But I did enjoy most of the food. I would definitely get the surf and turf again as the steak was cooked perfect and lobster tail was awesome. The BBQ duck was alright, they gave me the tortilla wraps, but expecting more of the bread which is alright. I ordered the shrimp vegetable stir fry as well and that was good too and I needed some vegetables. Atmosphere was cool, there was no Japanese steak chefs that day, but I am sure they come out during the weekend. I probably take my wife here to eat next time.

We sat for over 30 minutes waiting for the check with no drink refills or even visit from the waiter to see what was needed. He just literally disappeared and it took other customers to request their check for another server for him to even return with our check...30 minutes later. Maybe Trey was in training , I do not know. I do not know what was happening at Tien today. We won't be returning. Sad situation. We drove 45 minutes to eat at this restaurant today. The only reason I'm rating our experience as a 2 star is that we had a nice view of the bay. That is it... food was a huge miss especially for the price of this meal.
