Chicken pho
Jennifer K.

I ordered the chicken pho and I absolutely loved it!! It was so delicious. I've tried many Vietnamese pho places near biloxi but this one truly was the best. The broth was so clear and clean tasting; didn't feel guilty at all drinking the soup. All the other pho places I've tried had super greasy, fatty pho broth. For the chicken pho, I asked to get the chicken without the bones and skin. It's a bit pricier than other pho locations but the taste made it up for me. They are also military friendly as well and offer military discount! Great food, service, and clean ambience :)

Com suon

It's been a few years since we last dined in. Food was not as bad as I remembered. The com suon was probably the best out of everything we ordered. Service was still the same, as I'm not surprised.

After almost a decade of patroning Henry's Cafe, I am disappointed to have to write this review of our recent experience. A few days ago, we had lunch at Henry's and I ordered a pork rice plate. I received the pork rice plate (which was quite average), but also received a fried egg with my order. When we paid for the meal, there was a charge of $5 for the egg in addition to $15 for the rice plate. There was no mention of a fried egg included with the rice plate on the menu. When we confronted the waitress, she nonchalantly stated that "the egg is included with the rice plate and just charged separately." I've ordered rice plates here previously and never heard of this. I wasn't sure if this was new since they had recently updated their menu. Make it make sense. I'm not sure whether she mistakenly thought I ordered the egg and was just covering her mistake, but rather than confirm this when ordering or apologizing later, she said this was the practice. The waitress continued to be very defensive as we inquired about the charge and just responded that she "doesn't make the prices." These deceitful practices to make a quick buck are unacceptable. Given this sour experience, my family will no longer patron Henry's and will advise our friends and family to be wary of eating here. If you want good Vietnamese food, just go down the street to Kien Giang or Vung Tau instead.

a meat sandwich

If you know me, you know that I don't really complain about food, but I'm really sad about this one. Vietnamese banh mi sandwich is his and mine favorite kind of sandwich. We were in Biloxi so of course we had to pick up some banh mi! I got a few to bring back home for my sister, we live 3 hours away. Cold cuts usually contains head cheese, cha lua pork sausage, and sliced pork, it had all of that, but there wasn't even enough meat to cover the whole sandwich. One thin sliced head cheese, one thin sliced pork... I ended up taking meat from my other sandwich to make one sandwich. It's bad when my sister said I actually got more meat than her The owner was there so I guess this is how their usual is. Their Vietnamese coffee and pate chaud was great though!

Chicken teriyaki po boy and spring rolls

My absolute favorite spot to come and get a Vietnamese style poboy!! Their bread is AMAZING and I believe is made in house!

Teriyaki chicken Banh Mi & Lychee Milk Tea

Hidden gem, the food is great and fresh! I love the family atmosphere & the overall vibe of the restaurant! I had the teriyaki chicken Banh Mi w/ Lychee Milk Tea, and they did not disappoint!

I had a wonderful Bahn mi and a loaf of baguette to go. Will have to return with family and friends to check out the rest of the menu.

Food is not good. Food is questionable whether or not it is even okay to eat. Servers are extremely rude and offer no help. Cash only???

The food was great! The sauce on the beef special was slightly sweet and perfect for the dish. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took 15 minutes after being seated before they came by to take our order. When we were finished I obviously needed a to-go container, but no one came to our table to see if we needed anything. Finally went to the register and requested one and paid the bill.

It is not really hidden away but not off the main road tho. You may miss it if you are not looking for it. You may notice in the pictures I posted; it looks like not many people eat here. But you are mistaken. Even though not many people eat in the restaurant. They very busy with to go orders. At one point? They had a small line for just ordering and picking up. They offer many wonderful Vietnamese/Chinese cuisine dishes. Mainly Vietnamese tho. You find they offer many different types of dishes that other restaurants don't offer. Forgive me, I am no expert or grew up with this type of cuisine. From my experiences with them. I will say the flavor is very good. The service was excellent. I forgot to get his name but he knows the menu by heart. So good he recommended several different things and did not write anything down. I was going to get the fried whole fish ( pompano); he said it would take a while to cook (about 20 minutes) but he said it was worth it. We decided not to get it since it would take a while. So we opted for the green muscles instead. All the dishes we ordered came out fast. Especially when we changed our order last minute. The dishes we ordered were all excellent. Very delicious. The appetizer bi cuon (fresh spring rolls) we ordered was very tasty. Sad it was only just two. However, very delicious and right size and with that super addictive peanut flavor sauce. With that particular fresh spring roll. The wrap is a bit chewy and shedded pork can get a bit out of hand. As for the main course, we ordered the Mi Xao Thap Cam ( crispy noodle (bird nest) combination) and the Chem Chep Xao Gurng Hanh ( green muscles with ginger and green onions ) with a small side of jasmine rice. All were delicious. The sauce can be a bit salty but the rice definitely cuts down on saltiness. Do not be discouraged by this. Just giving you a heads up and hack about it. All of them are very good and well worth it. We wash it down with glass of Thai tea and chrysanthemum tea. The seating area is good and can accommodate few large groups. The middle tables look comfortable and can handle four to eight people. Or more depending upon it if connect multiple tables together. As you reference the photos. Table seating has hard wood seats. They are comfortable but no padding. We sat on the outside area and sat in a booth. It was no couch but comfortable. They have large flat screen TV hanging on the wall. No close captions. No Wi-Fi provided or offer military or first responders discount. They do accept cards. Of course, cash is king. Nice place to stop in if you are in the area and want something different and great food with excellent service. Few dishes you cannot find on the coast so far.

I know it may not seem like it. As you pull up to park in the front. Few spots are reserved for handicap parking spots. And a ramp leading to the front door. Do not be discouraged. They have plenty of parking space next door. As you walk in, the fresh smell of baked goods fill the air. They offer so many different options for delicious food. If you wish to wet your whistle. They have many different drink combinations. I do not know how long they have been offering King Cake. They have mentioned they have sold out for the day. They suggest that if you wish to acquire one. They only bake so many cakes daily. Try to come as early as possible. I was disappointed that missed the opportunity to grab a cake. I could not leave empty handed. I declined to get the Taro milk tea this time. I instead picked up a cinnamon roll and cream cheese roll. They just brought them out and so I had to get them. The cream cheese roll is freshly baked with some sort of soft dessert dough. It is layered with cream cheese frosting and chocolate frosting too. It tastes really good and not too sweet. The coconut cinnamon roll is freshly baked. The has hint of cinnamon and raisins found in the roll. Of course it tastes delicious with that pillow soft sweet dough. With light sprinkling of freshly shredded coconut on top. They taste so great! So delicious and sweet. You cannot wait to take your goods home to indulge. They do offer few outdoor tables on the side. Definitely recommend it if you are in the mood and the weather permits. Also happen to grab a batch of rolls since they just baked them too. The smell was intoxicating! No Wi-Fi as far as I can see. No military discount at this time. Be sure to pick out something delicious to eat or drink.

We stopped in for a Banh Mi (the pork one was perfectly seasoned, loaded with fresh veggies and herbs on that incredible house-made French bread), and it was hands-down one of the best sandwiches I've had on the coast. The pastries are super fresh--grabbed a croissant and a coconut yucca pie, both flaky, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They also have bubble tea and pork buns that looked tempting (next time!). The staff is friendly and the vibe feels welcoming and authentic. It's very popular always with a line, so go early--things sell out fast, and there can be a line. That said, it's worth it for the quality and value. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in town! Highly recommend if you're craving something unique and delicious. 4 stars only because I wish they had more more treats to select from. If you decide to go later day be prepared to have selective left over choice in the display case.

The server I had was really nice and attentive as he came and checked in and filled my water up. Some servers just leave you alone and I just at and answered my questions on some of the prices like lobster and the duck. Here is what I ordered: 1. BBQ Roasted duck 2. Surf and Turf 3. Shrimp Stir Fry Now of course I did not eat everything and took some food to go. But I did enjoy most of the food. I would definitely get the surf and turf again as the steak was cooked perfect and lobster tail was awesome. The BBQ duck was alright, they gave me the tortilla wraps, but expecting more of the bread which is alright. I ordered the shrimp vegetable stir fry as well and that was good too and I needed some vegetables. Atmosphere was cool, there was no Japanese steak chefs that day, but I am sure they come out during the weekend. I probably take my wife here to eat next time.

While I enjoy spicy food, I found the dish overly spicy to the point that it was hard to fully enjoy, though the sauce itself had a good flavor. The sushi was solid, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The facility was also clean and well-kept, which was a plus. Overall, while Tien has some good qualities, I believe the coast has better options for Asian cuisine, and I'd likely choose one of those over Tien in the future.
