The food was okay; however, the service was terrible. We were the only people there at 6:40. The girl taking our oder had a very difficult time taking our order. Despite repeating the order 3 times, we still ended up paying for an extra drink. The music was ridiculously loud. As I was paying she told me to leave a tip, didn't ask, but told me to leave a tip. We chose to eat in; however, while we were waiting, the girl who took our order started putting the chairs on the table and pulling the rugs up as if they were closing. None of the three employees in the front greeted us, none smiled and all acted like we were bothering them. As we were finishing a young man walked in to order and never was greeted. DO NOT EAT HERE. the store owner, and all managers apparently show favoritism to their children that work there and their friends. These kids need customer service training. Anytime you go you can almost be guaranteed to never be greeted, your food always be wrong/things are missing, or you can hear and see teenage boys running around and hooting and hollering while people wait for 20 mins for two sandwiches. This place also needs to be shut down. I have seen roaches while eating there and also received rotten avocado and lettuce on my salad. The food is warmed up hospital food at best. Convenient spot right off the highway. I got the Veggie sandwich - it was refreshing, a bit bland, and would be a lot better warmed. Also pretty messy, so eat at a table. Mustard and pepper added gave it some flavor. They also have gluten friendly bread - stores with the regular bread but they switch gloves when they handle it. Food was ok, a little overpriced for the portion size. Don't expect to get your meal quickly. Over 20 minutes to get a sandwich and a side salad. Oh, and you would think they would be smart enough to put a fork and napkins in the to-go bag, but no, I guess they expect you to eat your salad with your finger. Wait...did I say fork? No forks for carry out orders, here they give you a spork. Sigh....what happened McAlister's? You used to be better. And I won't go into detail about the people in the kitchen standing around and talking while there was a line 8 deep, nor did the manager even acknowledge the 5 people waiting to get their carry out orders who were standing there waiting...for over 20 minutes for a sandwich. Oh, totally forgot that we asked for a gluten free bread because of an allergy and they got that wrong. Today was my first order from this location. I read the reviews......I was hesitant about ordering. But I have ordered from the McAlister's in OH and their food is delicious so I took a chance. Absolutely the right decision. I ordered in the app and picked up at the window. I ordered the French dip with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was huge. The roast beef was tender and delicious. Real roast beef not pressed beef. The potato salad tastes like mom's. My husband ordered the Reuben he said it was fantastic but he wasn't crazy about the sauerkraut. The only issue that I had was that this location does not have their carrot cake. It is out of this world. Maybe eventually they will decide to carry it. I didn't get a picture of our food for this post. But I will have one for the next time read more

The food is amazing here. Nice clean place but they take a life time getting you your food! Especially for Togo orders. I'm in here for atleast 30 minutes waiting if not more every time!! So annoying I don't understand how I get food faster at a restaurant but it takes so long here. Unreal also they give people food randomly so someone who got here ten minutes later will probably get food way before you will. I'm over it! My first time placing an order at this location and although the food was delicious the wait time was OUTRAGEOUS. My family wasn't greeted and I ultimately had to return because my broccoli cheese soup wasn't in the bag. I attempted to call yet received no answer. We ate at McAlister's all the time in Texas. We moved to SE KY about 2.5 years ago. I was thrilled to see one in London. We ate there this past Thursday and I really enjoyed mine but my cousin ate part of his not happy with sandwich. On the whole was happy for the restaurant. So I decided to go there Saturday for to go order. Now living here the last couple years I have low expectations and standards. Different culture and customer service mindset in SE is very different to any place I've lived. I'm old and travelled. Needless to say I placed my order and left a 20% tip on a take out! So I'm thinking the3 times I told the order taker I'd get a little better service. I ordered the 1/2 combo Angus Beef extra Sauces hate dry sandwiches and the pecan salad with extra cup dressing I hate dry salads. Side of potato salad. Got my wife a loaded potato. I live 30 minutes away or I would have drove back and threw the order in the garbage next to the register. There was people at one table it was 9PM about 5 employees. My sandwich did get extra Mayo could not taste horseradish. No cheese, no onion. Lettuce, meat, Mayo. The receipt said no pickle spear never said that either. So I was like at least I got the salad. After almost a $5 tip on a carry out yep one dressing after I was adamant 3 times I told them for an extra tiny cup. The salad had chicken, strawberries, blueberries, and not one sweetened pecan that make the whole salads flavor, not one. Very subpar service, even with my lower expectations living and understanding this region. Once you've lived away and come back you understand. They told a 16 year kid last night, AFTER SHE SHOWED JIMMY AND THE OWNER THE LAWS THAT POOL TIPPING PERTAINS TO, that they never promised tips to anyone. Yet they have a spot on the receipt for tips and a tip jar out front. Where did the tips go? Owners, managers, and supervisors are not allowed to touch the tips, as in take them. Why is Jimmy pocketing tips? Where did all the tips go that they have received over the last 1.5 months? Who took them? Their employees have not seen one red cent of tips. Their employees have not been taking breaks. Someone pulled an entire 8 hour shift with no break and no lunch break. That's also ILLEGAL. What is Taral going to do about any tips that have come through on credit cards? There is always a split on 1099-K tax forms to show what is income and what was tipped If no tips were promised why is there a spot on the receipts for it? You can change that setting probably and if no tips were to be going to anyone why do they have a jar that say TIPS? IM POSTING THIS REVIEW TO EVERY REVIEW SITE I CAN FIND FOR THIS BUSINESS.
