My husband is hard of hearing and a disabled U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran. When I tried to explain this, the manager said, "People with disabilities like your husband need to stay home," and told us they did not want our business. Given previous food issues, this confirmed a serious decline in standards. The one bright spot afterward was discovering The Gondolier--an Old World, NYC-style Italian restaurant with authentic food, warm hospitality, veteran discounts, and a military family-run business that treats customers with dignity.
