We've been loyal regular customers for more than five years, but we've seen a steady decline in service and food quality. When my husband calmly raised concerns with the manager about dismissive service, he was dismissed and the behavior was supported rather than corrected. Several teenage employees then acted in a coordinated, mocking manner, chanting "you're getting kicked out" and "we don't want your money." My husband is hard of hearing and a disabled U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran. When I tried to explain this, the manager said, "People with disabilities like your husband need to stay home," and told us they did not want our business. Given previous food issues, this confirmed a serious decline in standards. The one bright spot afterward was discovering The Gondolier--an Old World, NYC-style Italian restaurant with authentic food, warm hospitality, veteran discounts, and a military family-run business that treats customers with dignity. read more

When I first went in greeted by friendly lady who seated me. Waiter was ok...not real outgoing but adequate. Took almost 15 minutes go get a beer. Food was ok...nothing special. My daughter brought home broccoli soup today from Dino's. I'm not sure if it was old or what happened to it but it smelled funny and tasted disgusting and completely inedible. To start off with this place offers a wide variety to choose from, salads, pizza, strambolis as well as pasta. The service the last two times whe have beend there is outsanding. Both times it has been my experience the serves right out of the gate proived warm breadsticks and mariniara sauce. Mariniara sauce in my opinion is hard to find in good quality. However I must stay this was on the higher end of such sauce in the area, just not enough orengo in it for me thought. The bread sticks are better than Olive Garden. The ambiance is as expected for a Italian Restraunt but not overly done. One of the definate tries here is without a doubt Eggplant Parmiginaia, this alone is a reaons enought os stop in. read more

The entre was a large mound of angel hair pasta smothered in marinara sauce. The disc of chicken had a crunchy coating, more red sauce and a bit of cheese. It appeared to be a lesser quality frozen option. Neither item was palatable. There were two diners with the same order. Neither of us were able to eat more than a few bites. Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with my friend. There's not many options here in London for a non-franchise restaurant. So per my friend's recommendation, we came here. I had the Hawaiian stir fry and she had the canneloni. The dipping sauce for the breadsticks tasted like tomato sauce out of a can. Apparently the locals here know this and smother that sauce with pepper and Parmesan cheese. To me it still lacked flavor. My food was bland, missing a lot of seasoning. My friends food was overly cheesy, too much cheese, could barely get much meat from under it all. The service was great, but the food was sub par. Dinos review I have already written a review about this place and I was not satisfied with my visit. Like anything, is it fair to truly judge a place based off of one visit? The answer is absolutely, it is that bad but I decided to give it a second chance. After 2 years of thinking about dinos I grew to enjoy the horribleness with laughter with friends. I learned what dinos truly is today and that is just entertainment. We had a group of 8 and we knew what we were getting into so we decided to stop and eat before we went in. That was the greatest decision of my life. You don't go to dinos to eat, you go there to laugh with you friends at how horrible a restaurant could be and still be open. I still can't get over the tomato paste but that is almost the best part. As long and you go in with the mindset that dinos is more of a Chuck E. Cheese, you will enjoy yourself. The last thing I would like to say is that the bees in the front of the building are having a turf war for who can build their nest on the legendary building. Could you ask for a better welcoming to a genuine Italian restaurant? I mean this when I say this, you will have more fun if you don't order any food and just take it all in. Dino's is ok... The calzones are ok but the marinara is not very thick and basically just rolls off of your food. Which is an issue of course. The store is relatively clean and the staff is nice enough. The prices seemed fair but they need to get their marinara squared away. Stopped in for dinner at Dino's Italian this week. It was 8:10 PM. We waited at the hostess counter for 5 minutes with no one there. My wife walked around the corner to the kitchen and told 2-3 people standing there. Why didn't we leave....should have. Couple minutes later the hostess comes out. She seems very flustered. I asked the hostess "are you closing?". The hostess says "We close at 9:00, but we like to close at 8:45." "But you'll be fine." Way to make us feel real welcome. We ordered drinks and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. The waiter brings us 'cheesy bread'. When we correct him, he says we ordered the cheesy bread. No.....so he takes it away flustered and brings us the mozzarella. I order the beef tips but I ask for fettuccine noodles instead of spaghetti noodles as was on the menu. It's an Italian restaurant, so I figured no big deal. Big deal. That's a special order and will be up-charged. Your kidding. So I say OK to the upcharge but ask if there is sauce on the fettuccine, as I only wanted it buttered. The waiter says "yes it has to come with Alfredo sauce", which I don't want. Your kidding....so I change my order to the lasagna. My salad comes.....half brown lettuce, no thanks. I picked three bites and pushed it away. The bread sticks came out already hard and no butter on them. Ate half of one and pushed them away. The lasagna comes....good portion + has actual meat sauce.....and is flavorless....tastes like cardboard. I ate three bites and pushed it away. The lunch menu is fairly priced. It's easy to eat under $10. I had a calzone which had two different kinds of cheese and I chose steak. It was good. The marinara sauce is much like tomato soup. I didn't taste many flavors besides tomato but that was okay since I like tomato soup. My colleague had the baked spaghetti that looked good. It came in the bowl it was baked in. I was in the mood for Italian and stopped in. The decor is very dated. Booths and tables could use some TLC or be replaced. Even the outside of the building could use some freshening up. My server was Zach. He was fantastic. Very polite. Right on top of it. Great server. He should go to another restaurant. He would make much more money. He brought out bread sticks and a bowl of their Special Meat Sauce. I took one of the bread sticks, dipped it in this sauce and was instantly reminded of my childhood of anything from Chef Boyardee and Spaghettios. Who knows what they do with the noodles and such, but they obviously use the sauce out of these cans. It's spot on. I wish I could post a picture of the sauce. It even has the same color. The bread sticks had ZERO taste. I mean come on. Some garlic butter or at least sprinkle some garlic salt on them when they come out of the oven. I order the: Chicken Napolitana - Slices of sauteed chicken breast in fresh garlic, scallions, and butter topped with Parmesan Cheese Sounds nice right. Um. Yea. A huge plate of angel hair pasta with stuff in all covered in a bright orange sauce. The entire plate was one color. Like eating Indian food. The taste. AWFUL. After a few bites I was sick to my stomach. I took pictures of this dish as well, but for some reason we can't add them to this review. Slices of chicken? More like chunks of chicken and the garlic was still raw. Hadn't even been cooked. The one thing that was terrific. The sweet tea. Strong, bold and sweet. We were looking for a non chain restaurant to eat and drove past this place and decided to give it a try. I didn't take any pictures because nothing really wowed me as far as presentation. When we were seated my first impression wasn't great, our server wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu nor very attentive or friendly. They brought us bread sticks and some red marinara sauce that wasn't very flavorful and the bread sticks kinda tasted like store bought and baked. Then we ordered and my BF ordered a sampler plate and a small pizza. I ordered a Chicken Scarpariello, it comes with red sauce but I didn't care for that sauce so I ordered it with the Alfredo sauce instead. Food arrived hot and quickly. I would say it was ok not fantastic but ok. My bf liked the chicken parm but I thought it tasted like a premade chicken patty with the marinara and cheese on top. The lasagna was ok but like I said I wasn't a huge fan of the marinara sauce. The pizza was pretty good though. I just had a bite since I was pretty full. We ordered dessert the white chocolate raspberry cake, and a piece of baklava. The cake was DELICIOUS beat part of my meal! I didn't eat it until later at the hotel but I definitely should have got 2 for tomorrow also! They don't make the desserts there they order them from a bakery but good just the same! The decor is very outdated but it seemed clean. Servers could have a little bit more classy uniform but I really would settle for just a more cheerful waiter than we had! So the locals were here, not the one star atomosphere. You get "bread sticks" (pizza dough cut into strips) with marianara sauce. The sauce is sweet but very good with garlic,olive oil, parsley on sticks. The menu at lunch runs from $5.50 burger to $7.75 gyro meat platter. I was looking at canneloni and baked spaghetti (which there are three different kinds!!). The stromboli's were actually recommended as they were supposed to be very light flaky crust and oozy cheese. I could not get past canneloni and the idea ground chuck and cheddar mixed in with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. What kind of sick people are these?? I do live in land of Italian restraurants, so I should have seen this before. But my risk in cheese was well rewarded. The meat sauce was excellent, and sauce is key to Italian food. We ordered meals to go on the way to our hotel for the night. They had everything ready and packaged up with everything we might need, right on time. The tortellini with meatballs was so much that I saved half tor the next day. My husband had the pork chops with rice and said it was really good. They have a Greek salad but no Greek dressing, and the veggies were fresh but were cut into huge pieces. The meat in the meat sauce was so cooked down that the meat was difficult to decipher. The meatballs lacked texture, flavor, and probably were frozen. The service was lacking as well. My friend received his soup right before his meal arrived. We received the bill, but our waitress didn't come back for us to pay. We asked a different waitress to take our bill. Competent food, friendly staff. I tried the lemon chicken / broccoli special and was pleased. Wife enjoyed the meat ravioli. Cesar salad was a better choice than the house salads. One of our party had the chicken strip gyro and was complimentary about the chicken and the preparation. When back in London this we'll make a return visit. read more
