Decent place to eat but sense covid their orders are almost never correct and when you call you get a non English speaking call center person on the phone that doesn't know what Cheetos are! Come on McAlisters let your own employees answer the phone, every other REAL restaurant has their own employees answer the phone and take to go orders (try Roadhouse, On the Boarder, BJs, etc). I really enjoy eating at McAllister's. The food is very good but the ladies restroom is so dirty. It appears the floor hasn't been swept or mopped in months and the sink was very, very dirty. I judge a clean restaurant by its restroom. They seriously need to clean their restroom. I hope they clean the restroom. read more

I usually enjoy a meal from this place, but my last encounter left much to be desired. I had an online order, the cashier asked me if I already paid for the order and when I said yes proceeded to give me someone else's order who's name was similar to mine. I let her know that the name on the ticket was not my order and she proceeded to look at me with a glazed look in her eyes, like she didn't understand the words coming out of my mouth. I finally got my order and was not pleased to find the worst sandwich's I have ever ordered. When my family opened their food they asked me what I ordered them because it didn't look like that they normally order. Quality of the food was not up to par. Customer service and good tea is what get's them 2 stars. My wife and I ate lunch here and ordered a club and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. My sandwich was good. Little too much mayo, but tasted good. My wife's salad on the other hand was not. The first time around, her chicken was still frozen, not just cold, but frozen. One of the employees was quick to make things right and get her a new salad, as well a free lunch card. Lucky for them, they won't be out any money since we left the card on the table and will not be coming back to this location. read more

Well this is the fifth time coming here and it's always below average. The staff is so inattentive and out of touch it's scary. Today my plate had a huge what looked to be a black eyelash on it and I took it back to the counter because no one checked on us. They "remade" the sandwich (doubtful) with wilted lettuce and put it on a wet plate. I went back to the counter again where you get drink refills (stupid idea) and asked for a manager. I got about a 19 year old who just make excuses. I HAD TO ASK FOR A REFUND and didn't eat one bit of either sandwich. Good bye McCrapisters on 82nd street. read more

It's an ok place. They are extremely busy so if you are looking to get in and out during lunch hours then you may want to think twice. The staff is really nice. The food is ok. It's not as clean as it could be. They need someone in the dining area watching for tables to cpean so that there are available tables. read more

Charged everyone $1.49 for canned cokes and bottled water (no refills) when the power was out--not cool. Rudy's charged $1.00 and let you grab a second. Chicken sandwich was mediocre, my son's turkey sandwich was better. read more

Always a good meal at here. My favorite is the 99 cent kids meals. No specific days or times, just always a full meal for the kids at that price. Gluten free bread is available for any sandwich and their tea is top notch. Great experience! read more

We called in a pickup order and after she was done ordering she was hung up on. Went to the restaurant to pick it up, surprise surprise, our order isn't in the computer. The girl at the register wasn't very helpful, only saying she could put it in right then but it would still be thirty minutes. Decided to walk out. There wasn't any help, she paused in helping us to talk to a coworker. She wasn't as rude as she could have been, and I understand it's a Friday night, but there was NO reason for whoever answered the phone to hang up on my mother like that. Totally disappointed with the service. We even tried to talk to a manager but she was too busy. (Probably fixing her workers' mistakes.) read more

Placed an order through the McAlister's app, which was supposed to be ready at 12:50. I arrived at about 12:48 and there were about 7 customers ahead of me in the "To Go" line. Only a couple of customers were in the regular line, and despite the fact that it was lunch time, the restaurant was surprisingly not very busy (probably because of the weather). Anyway, I get to the counter to check in and the cashier tells me it will be an additional 20 minute wait (on top of the 25 minutes that I had already waited since placing the order), because they had a big order called in. I'm slightly annoyed, but I know it's not her fault, so I politely ask for a refund because I needed to return to work quickly. She tells me she can't issue a refund because she is not a manager. I ask her to get a manager to process the refund, and she leaves the counter only to come back a few minutes later with a bag of food, which she said was mine. I drive all the way back to work (which is on the opposite side of town), only to discover that I had been given the wrong order. The seven other customers in the To Go line ahead of me were also unhappy with the wait, as many of them were working professionals with their time constrained to a brief lunch break. I've always thought McAlister's is supposed to offer a "fast casual" dining experience, but there is nothing fast about a 45 minute wait for deli food. If they knew they were having difficulty keeping up with the demand, they should notify their online customers with a phone call and offer a refund. Speaking of refunds, I called the restaurant to voice my complaint and ask for a refund. They couldn't process the refund over the phone and said they would have to contact their IT Department. I still haven't heard back. I will definitely think twice before wasting my money and time here again. read more

The manager know madly contacted me and offered a free meal. Thank you. I didn't go back for a looong time, but when I did, the food was much better than of late and the service was good. I am raising the star! The inconsistency here is something that has made me go from a regular customer to just a sporadic one. Dining in, I can send bad orders back to be corrected, but as is the case so often, take out makes it very inconvenient when you find out once you're home or back at work that things are not what they should be. They have some good items, but giving you 6 pieces of tiny fruit in a to go cup for $2.50 is not my idea of good. Someone must have just been in a hurry. The bacon on my sandwich- which is obviously the thin, cheap microwave bacon anyway, was limp and undercooked. Guess it was a good thing there was only one small slice on there. The to go employees always seem to be so confused when taking an order over the phone. Maybe more training is needed. Step it up McAlister's! You have the potential to do so much better and win back some once loyal customers. read more

I LOVE McAllisters. I usually am begging my boyfriend to go with me. However, I placed an order online tonight and after waiting the 20 minutes to go pick up my food, I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my food once I was there. They said they were backed up but the place was dead, possibly 5-10 tables. After I got home, noticed that both of our orders were completely wrong. Not the wrong food, but just that they carelessly slopped together something and threw it in a bag. Get it together! read more

Poor service and cold food. I ordered online, arrived at the appointed time and got in "To Go" line. I stood there for 10 min. and the employees walked by me several times without even acknowledging me. There was a long line for eating in so finally I spoke up and asked whether the "to go" line was open. I was told "no" and that I had to get in the now very long line. When I got to the register after 15 more min., I found out my (pre-paid) food had been sitting out on the counter all along. The cashier didn't offer any apology or offer to make it right. My husband and I went for a quick lunch at McAllister's Deli on 82nd Street yesterday. We placed our order. The lady took my debit card, laid it on the counter and then went to get our drinks. I started to ask for my card when she pushed the two drinks into my hands without a top, and gave me the number for the table. I was concentrating on not spilling the drinks, (since my hubby with Parkinson's cannot hold an open drink without spilling it) and forgot about my debit card. We sat down. After seeing everyone who had ordered about the same time as us, get their food, eat, and leave I asked what had happened to our order. They assured us that it had been placed and not forgotten. The woman manger kept saying "Honey we will take care of you Sugar, we will get it right out, Sweetheart don't worry." Terms which I thought were patronizing and insulting. After an hour we were served. As we started to eat, a server walked by our table and flipped a bowl of hot soup and chicken salad sandwich into my lap, completely covering me in sticky soup and gooey chicken salad . They rushed to clean up the mess on the floor without so much as a word to me. When I finally got their attention, to get a wet towel and help with he clean up, the server pointed to the napkins on the table. Still trying to clean things up the server told me he would comp our meal. He dropped the $22.35 on the table, the change rolling off. We left. Then I remembered I had not gotten my debit card back. I called the store and asked to talk to a manager. She was very curt, I asked if they had found my card. She laid the phone down for about 5 seconds and then told me they did not have it. I asked if she could call me if they found it, she said no. I then proceeded to tell her about what had happened to us....her response? "Well you got a free meal didn't you" and she hung up. The funny thing is I didn't want anything FREE I just wanted to be treated with respect....something they obviously don't serve there. I am officially boycotting McAllisters. read more

This restaurant was disgusting. We arrived right at 11:00 as the store was opening and made a trip to the restroom first. It was so bad that I told my kids not to touch anything. There was no toilet paper. Toilet paper rolls and trash were on the floor, apparently from the day before. Trash cans were overflowing at the start of business! --And it smelled terrible. I lost my appetite right then and there. After we ordered we tried to find a clean table, but clearly the booths and floors had not been cleaned or swept from the day(s) before as food, trash and crumbs were everywhere. We eat at the McAllister's on 19th at least twice a week and it is well cared for. We will never visit the 82nd street location again because I'm scared to think of how dirty the kitchen must be. read more

Food is decent , but the last time I visited I had a complaint and asked if the server could go put some bacon on it as the sand which came with it. The server took the plate and seconds later I'm guessing a manager came over very rude, and said "I literally pulled your sandwich apart, there's bacon on it, not much but there's bacon" (there wasn't ) read more

Our order has been wrong the last three orders. Last night we got a Caesar salad(to go) and they didn't send the dressing! My wife ordered a ham sandwich and they sent turkey. I went back to get it taken care of and the staff seemed like no one wanted to be there. Too busy chatting to take care of the TEN people waiting in the to go line. However the tables were neglected and when asked to have napkins since our dispenser was empty, instead of replenishing dispenser, the empty one was just traded out, leaving the customers that sat there needing napkins also. I love their food in general. I love their sandwiches, however, today makes the 3rd time in less than a month that I have ordered food for carry out, explained to the person taking the order that i am allergic to pickles and it being put on the sandwich anyway. The managers are always very apologetic and give us a coupon in the mail for our next visit and promise they will tell their kitchen staff about it to be more aware. Yet this is the 3rd time. I don't know what they are telling the kitchen staff but how to read a ticket obviously is too difficult. I really don't know why it is so hard to not put a pickle on it, they get all the other food orders correct I don't understand why this is such a problem. It's pretty disappointing to get home and have to decide on a different thing for dinner every time I order food from them. Good food but don't go there if you have any food allergies. read more

Where to begin. We moved our daughter to Tech this past week. Went to this deli to eat. This was Sunday 8-16. The floors were filthy with food on them, the tables not cleaned. Being that this place was being run with teenagers, I was surprised that no adult manager was out on the floor. Restroom was filthy. Overall the place was not clean. read more

Awesome establishment. The management always does an excellent job of taking care of the guest. The food is always hot when it needs to be. My wife and I absolutely love coming to this location out of all the others.
