This was the most disappointing McAlister's I have ever experienced. The cashier appeared most disturbed that we came in and interrupted her cell phone experience. The sandwich was decent but the cashier/waitress brought the wrong variety of chips. Furthermore, I had to disturb her resumed cell phone usage as there were no lemon wedges on the service bar for tea. read more

Service is exceptionally slow. It seems like the folks behind the counter are consumed with sacking up go orders while ignoring people standing in line to place their orders forever. I ordered a black angus club that came on stale bread with no bacon. The little beef that was on the bread was tough and fatty. Every time I eat there I tell myself it's the last time. Outside the front door smells like gutter water. Inside is very clean and smells fine. Credit card machine was down, but they didn't tell me until we ordered. This was my "half" a sandwich when I did choose 2. It's more like 1/4 a sandwich. I asked for no lettuce or tomato and instead I got no bacon, no mayo, no ham, no honey mustard, and no tomato. There was still lettuce on there but it looks like instead of making me a fresh sandwich they just tried to take some lettuce off an old one and didn't even get all of it. It also had a hair on it. Plus the amount of meat was ridiculous. I tried to call and talk to a manager but no one would answer. I called at 7:30pm and they close at 9:00pm. This is unacceptable. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I waited 40 minutes for a turkey sandwich and it never came. They didn't seem to be understaffed but every single person in the building was waiting on food or seemed. I stop here on road trips and it's always slow but this visit was next level bad. read more

Absolute worst service. Restaurant wasn't busy, so it was inexcusable the amount of time we had to wait for our food. My husband got his food 21 minutes after ordering. I go to the counter to seek a refund for my food because at this point I still had not gotten my food. A couple that came 10 minutes after us had their food. At the counter I ask for a refund, supposedly no one there knew how to give me a refund. They decide to get my food ready and I had to get it to go. I will not go back. Also, I noticed tables had not been cleaned up and there was a pile of dirty dishes on the counter near the cash register. Unless you have time to sit and wait, I do not recommend eating here. read more

It was bagged up on the pickup inside shelf. The girl behind the counter handed it to me. When I asked if I was supposed to come in, she said, "No Ma'am. I'm sorry." I'm not sure why spending all your money on special plates means its okay to make mediocre food, but charging 10 dollars for a potato that has piece of shredded ham, a couple of bacon bits, and a tiny bit of shredded cheese is a joke. I also ordered the club sandwich, and it looks like it was made for a child. Trying to make your food "pretty" does not mean it can be flavorless and bite sized. Ordered pick-up. Parked in designated spot, hit the "I'm here" button and waited. and waited some more. My order was to be ready at 6:02 and at 6:15 I went in the store. A server said she didn't see my vehicle outside their very large window and I drive a Nissan Armada. The girl went outside and got my order out of another man's car. She came in and said the man didn't touch the bag, but I watched him get the bag from his backseat and hand it to her. She asked me if I still wanted the food. I should have said no but I took it. Got home and none of the sandwiches were boxed and no pickles. Sandwiches were wrapped in paper and smashed. My chicken on croissant had so much mustard it was all over the paper when I opened it. Ordered the Southwest Chicken and Avocado salad tonight. When I got home and got ready to eat, my AVOCADOS are black and moldy. This is totally unacceptable. Of course the restaurant is closed now. So I can't take it back right now. I will definitely think twice before eating here again. Updated: 8/28/2019 (from 1 star to 3 stars) I ended up taking the food back today with my receipt. The manager there was very apologetic and helpful. They redid my whole order and even gave me some extra FRESH avocados on the side. read more

BEWARE. Ordered the regular (as opposed to "King") club. Asked for no honey mustard and on white. It came and I noticed something did not look right. The sandwich I got was a single decker. I ate it as my glucose was low and had to eat something. I took a photo and showed it to the manager on duty (if that was what he was), and ask if the regular club was supposed to be a double decker. He said "yes." They finally looked up the order on the computer and told me that what I was served was correct, since I deleted the honey mustard and on white. Of course I was charged full regular price. I get it. It was my fault. Very displeased. Have had acceptable service is that location in the past. Never again. read more

McAlisters is headed downhill fast. Ordered a SW chicken salad. After a few bites, realized that there were ingredients missing (black bean salsa)..pointed this out and was told "Oh yeah, we ran out"...would have been nice to have been told that when ordering, as I would have ordered something else. But at that point I just carried on. Later I realized that there was also almost no avocado...there were about 4-5 incredibly thin slivers...one with a huge portion of brown pip shell, and all absolutely rock hard (will try to attach photo) Complained on FB and they got me to move to direct message...they told me someone would contact me but then they vanished. This was the Madison, MS location but clearly their corporate is setting the tone. read more

Not even one smile- every person with the exception of the shift manager had abhorrent attitudes and witnessed no less than 5 food safety concerns. Floors, counters and multiple tables were sticky and soiled-not to mention the bathroom. The worst being an employee adjust her bra, hands under her shirt, hands come out and immediately go to digging in her scalp and slapping her "hair" or head. As I waited for a to go order- I watched employees in the kitchen looking and commenting about social media posts, then set their phones down and were handling food with no gloves. The best part was a slight hope they would get My order right as I watched three different customers and not one but two delivery drivers standing in line because the order was wrong, something was left out or both. The order I placed was both. I would LOVE to speak to the owner(s) and franchise representatives. On a Friday night this place should be packed and my order should not be in their garbage can. read more

Excellent location. I had the big nasty which is a hot roastbeef poboy style sandwich with grated cheddar and brown gravy and a pickle spear and I got a chili for my side. Everything was delicious. The food came out pretty fast especially for a busy lunch time because this location was crowded. Service and food was fantastic. read more

Portions keep shrinking and prices keep increasing. Service was bad. Why can't I just make my own tea? Like at Newk's? I walked in and there were 6 people behind the counter but nobody acknowledged my presence for a solid 2 minutes and we were the only people in line. What it boils down to is training and more training. Most people that work at this place have never had much interaction with the public so some training is critical. The food was ok. An easy fix is training and let me fix my own drink. Some McAllisters have done this with the drinks. read more

I don't care for the selection at McAlister's but my family likes it. We ate there today for lunch after church arriving about 11:20am. There was no line and we placed our order just as we walked in. It took an hour for our food to arrive and the food was cold. I feel really bad for business owners in the food industry right now because I understand it is difficult to get hourly workers when the government is paying people to stay home. Family and a friend stopped by for dinner. The front counter was so dirty and sticky I was nervous about even ordering. The girl behind counter was apparently not happy about something and it showed while taking our order. My daughter order BLT+A Sandwich and when it arrived ,it had bacon ,mayo and a small piece of lettuce. She ask the sever about and she said we are out of avocados.Why not say that when or ordering? Ample parking at this location. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The server was awfully nice and polite (spoke to everyone she walked by). The staff seemed like they had no issues being at work (don't pretend like you don't know what I am talking about.... you know you've gone to places where it seemed as if everyone that waited on you was having a bad day). This was definitely NOT the case here. Super friendly staff. I ordered 1/2 reuben and crab & corn soup. My sandwich was okay. I thought the reuben needed more sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on it. Ot seemed "dry". My soup was piping hot, but very thin/watery. The flavor was okay, but was too spicy/peppery. Took away from the other flavors in the soup. Of course, my iced tea was fantastic. This is something that McAlisters does extremely well. read more

While on shift I realized I hadn't eaten all day and the only thing that sounded good was McAlister's. It was 10 minutes to close and I absolutely hate going in places that close to closing because I have worked in restaurants and know how it is, but I was starving. I went in and was greeted by literally every employee and they were all super sweet for me to be coming in so last minute. After ordering the sweet young lady who took my order realized she accidentally rang in the wrong thing which she was quick to fix. She apologized and got it all handled. Erica was great and had such a positive attitude and was a pleasure to talk to while I waited for my order as she cleaned. All in all the food was great, the staff is friendly, and I definitely will be back! read more

We had a very bad experience with the service at this location. First, we tried for more than 30 minutes to place a phone order, but they did not answer, and the call was cut off. When we arrived to place our order in person, the first sales clerk was very rude. When we inquired about the phones, she replied that they were "very busy." There were maybe 4 tables of customers. She blamed it on the online orders. Finally another sales lady tried to explain that they were having issues with their phones. While that may be true, apparently this has been ongoing, and the issue needs to be addressed. The first sales lady was purposely slow bagging our order and remained overtly rude. I hate to even give this place one star, but this is my first yelp review and I'm not sure you can give zero stars. read more

Food tastes great but the food can take a while to come out especially for a sandwich and spud shop. Staff is friendly.

Meal will come out in courses (because they will get your order wrong) and you will spend three hours around the table (waiting on it to come out in the first place) with the ones you love. That is, IF they ever take your order. A dozen employees. Line out the door. ONE person taking orders. Worst McAlister's on the planet by a mile. Was forced to give them one star instead of zero. Drive the extra 15 minutes to Ridgeland. It will be quicker. read more
