Had a great time eating here. Overall, the service was excellent and my french dip + sweet tea were delicious! The man that took my order and the blue hair girl who brought me my food, were very nice and made great conversation. This place is really nice. My only complaint is that the Karen's that flock to this place (like deborah and susan) really kill the atmosphere. They should have a maximum age to this place to protect the vibes. My man and I ordered the nachos. He got the pulled pork nachos and the pork wasn't even cooked all the way.. I got the ultimate Nachos and the chili tasted like it was either out of a can or leftovers from 2 days ago... Not to mention the little girl probably 7 years of age behind the counter. The good: The cashier (young male) was kind and patient with our order. The bad: The management however left much to be desired. The manager (woman with the blue hair) came out and was yelling at her staff, patronizing in her tone to customers, and just all around creating a very unpleasant atmosphere. She was rolling her eyes at people and incredibly unpleasant. I'm not sure how she got this job but shouldn't be in customer service, let alone management. She managed to make everyone feel like they were all a huge bother to her. She would yell out into the restaurant when food wasn't available to sell as if she was mad that the cashier was selling food. The women's restroom had sticky liquid puddles all over the floor. Very unpleasant. As we left (never to return), someone from the kitchen staff popped his head out the back door to get in as many vape puffs as he could before heading back in. Gross. We went to the McAllisters in Rolla MO around noon on Saturday September 6th. My friend wanted Chicken Nachos and the cashier said he believed that they did not have cheese sauce. He got elaborate about suggesting that she could just order a salad. I said that was unacceptable in a joking manner and he said well you can just leave and SO WE DID. Generally I love McAlister's. But months after opening this one still needs work. Two of the last three baked potatoes I've ordered were tough and cold. Coupled with the !!&))&(;$$!! tissue paper on aluminum they serve it on and " disappointing" is the way I think of it. The tea is good. On the evening of 6/1/24, while traveling, I stopped in and was very surprised at the Pecan Berry Salad that was SUPERB!!! I asked the man waiting on me for his opinion and he said, "you can't beat the Pecan Berry Salad". I thanked him for the great recommendation. I paid 16 dollars for maybe 5 bites of food. A loaf of bread would be more filling compared to this sandwich. Meanwhile, I watched someone receive a mountain of sandwich for the same price. The bag of chips had more food than the entire sandwich. I was stunned with how little food I had received for the price I paid. 0 stars if I could, believe me. The service was good and the snack came out fast but the at was probbaly because there was nothing to prepare!! On top of all of that the DR pepper was just water, and they threw away the drinks without asking. I'd rather catch, clean, and cook a wild pidgin than buy that sandwich again. DO NOT ORDER THE GRILLED CHICKEN CLUB!!!! I didn't even order the club, I ordered the regular grilled chicken sandwich and received the club instead for a 6 dollar mark up. I ran a half marathon and came here expecting good value and a good amount of food, not a child portion that was priced as if it was made out of gold. This was disappointing, and I really hoped it would be better than subway, but at least subway actually feeds the customers. I want so badly to love this place. I visited one in Texas and was so excited we were getting one here. But every visit is a let down. I got a 1/2 sandwich and Cesar salad to go. It came out in a timely manner. The sandwich was great. When I went to have the salad at dinner, I saw that dressing was already on and the lettuce was wilted. The potato salad is not as good as the salad I enjoyed in Texas. The baked potatoes are weirdly dry and sort of look scooped out. Finally, when I place a mobile order, there's no way to refund me if they've run out of the item I ordered. I just have to pick something else at the window. The people working there seem to be working hard. But for me, it's very spotty on satisfaction. read more

Don't come here if you're starving and need a quick meal. I mean, over the last 15 years I've been eating and have worked at McAlister's all across the country and have always got consistent, good quality food and good service. As a prior manager, I'm appalled. The management staff for this location should be ashamed. We waited about 30 minutes for our meal and it was the first time in my life I've been just disappointed in our choice to dine at a McAlister's. Our experience with the cashier was very odd as well. Our sandwich breads were cold, yet toasted which signals to me whoever was too fast to drop the bread to toast, but they were backed up and then it allowed our bread to re harden. The kitchen staff was entirely too rude as I sat and listened to how the girl with a long brown pony tail and had an AirPod in her ear (who does that while in a kitchen) spoke to the FOH staff and if I were in charge of that place, she would have been fired on the spot. Our sandwiches were so dry and not in normal McAlister's preparation. The cookies and desserts are OLD and are being held for too long. They are extremely hard, which is again not a usual cookie from here. My daughters mac and cheese was cold upon arrival and my sons build your own sandwich was so far off what we requested. The staff is lifeless, stressed, not comfortable in their jobs and obviously don't have adequate support from strong management to assure they get into their stride and are successful. We were so excited this spot was opening because it's within 30 minutes of us versus driving to Springfield at 90 minutes, but I'll be hopeful that this location gets it together. read more

The French dip is tasty. This is very expensive for sandwiches. I order online and pick up at window. 3 times I went to pick up and they did not have the order In the system. I had to show confirmation on my phone. The employees are always super nice. Went today and got two 6 inch sandwiches with basic side and one tea. Was $27 but have an aarp 10% discount. Still $25. Too expensive for two 6 inch sandwiches. The app helps with bonuses but have to spend $50 to get a free tea. Food has been good though. Don't recommend the nachos. read more

The staff was nice but they were sort of goofing off a lot and the vibe in the place wasn't professional. The sandwich I got was so sloppy and was slipping and sliding apart. The mac and cheese was served at a blistering 280deg F and had no flavor. Easy Mac taste better than this Mac & Chesse. I was pretty hungry but with the beef being chewy and sloppy all falling outa my sandwich and the Mac I& cheese being so bland... I love the App; you order and pay, then pick up at the window, but the dining room is bright and pleasant. We love the salads, chicken salad sandwiches and the iced tea!! We go 2-4 times per week and appreciate the quick and friendly service. The prices are much lower than their competitors. You get twice as much salad (and more ingredient options) as Wendy's for $9-$10!!! This is a brand new restaurant so they are still working out the kinks, but they are on their way to being stellar! read more

A terrible place, Very over priced, small serving and a horrible selection of sides and soups. Not to mention the long wait for your food. I ordered only the club sandwich and a water to drink . Ordered only the club because the selection of sides was not appealing in the lease bit , and was still charged nearly $15, I should had walked out when I was told the price but I wanted to give them a complete checkout. The sandwich was tasty but small, certainly not worth the price. To add insult to injury, had to wait an extremely long time for it. I was warned by several people about how terrible this place was, but stubborn me I didn't listen, so I guess that I have no one to blame for this terrible experience other than myself.
