My dad who is 87, loves to come here for lunch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They always note my allergy concerns and are very accommodating if I make changes to my order. Today we had family visiting and the workers must have come to our table 4-5 times asking if we'd like refills. We always have very good food, large portions, lots of variety. To me it's better than @just a sandwich place. It's a place with great sandwiches and sides! Having the app is great too. Tonight is the 3rd time I have come to the Wentzville location wanting to order a spud and have not had success. The last time I was here they told me they would not have spuds available until 6pm, being that it was 555pm I said no problem I will wait 5 mins. All of a sudden 6pm became 7pm and I was told I would need to order something else. Tonight at 650pm I attempted to order a spud and the person taking my order asked someone "are we good on spuds?", the response came back we are never good on spuds. It seems like if that's a known issue there is a way to be more proactive the reactive. This location is managed poorly. Definitely unfortunate and management should be embarrassed, unfortunately they aren't. read more

A zero star review would be too good for the manager Sean. I came in tonight to pick up a DoorDash delivery, and stood at the counter for a couple of minutes while he took inventory. I tried to get his attention, to which he looked over and then went back to doing whatever it is he was doing. One of his cashiers had to yell for him to get his attention. I said can I get my DoorDash order, he asked me if I could wait. Keep in mind, the customer's order was sitting there waiting to be picked up behind the counter, getting cold, but whatever was in this box he was counting was more important I guess. He finally looked up and puffed and then slammed the order down on the counter, forgetting the woman's drink I was there to pick up. I asked for the drink and then told him sorry to make him do his job. He then chased me outside screaming for me to give him my name. I happily gave it to him, to which he said I'll be sure to call DoorDash and tell them about you. I said by all means, and I'll be sure to contact McAlister's and tell them all about you. One of their employees stole my food and clocked out the last time I was there. Waited for 40 minutes until a manager helped me and went through multiple accusations of not actually placing an order before I had to pull my banking app out and prove to them I indeed ordered from their restaurant. I then had to also pull up the email receipt because the manager didn't believe me still. It wasn't until then I finally was given an apology and they realized they were wrong did I get my food. Yum. Went there for lunch at 1:45pm today. Walked right up and ordered- no wait. I had the grilled chicken club with a side of garden salad. My husband had the club sandwich and cheetos. Definitely let down. I ordered a salad and veggie chili. I asked for no cheese on the salad. It's marked on the receipt, yet I got a salad with cheese. Also, I received regular chili, not veggie chili. Not only that, but the chili was about half full. My sister's order was a sandwich and baked potato. The sandwich was pathetic. I love their new salad. With the berries. Their pick 2 deal is great! I cannot recommend the kid's pizzas. My kids would not take more than one bite. They were soggy and gross. They did love the mac and cheese, though. The broccoli chicken was one of their favorites, though you don't get very much at all. My mom loved her wrap and salad. I really like this location, and hoped it stays as good as the first day of opening. I like the French dip and Mac and cheese. Everything else that I've tried has been flavorful, hot and fresh. The staff here is awesome as well, quick to make sure you don't need a refill if dining in, and quick to grab your plate if you're finished. I came to eat at this new location for the first time today and it was such a satisfying visit! The fact that I came at 1 PM (still during a prominent lunch hour) and my order was taken so quickly was great. The cashier was super patient with me and polite when I couldn't decide what I wanted. Got my meal (the McAllister's club, simple but always a win- also with jalapeño chips) under 10 minutes. While I was eating, multiple employees, including managers came to check on me and make sure I was doing good and asked if needed anything else. Tonight, July 17th, 2021 at 6:30pm my wife and I were dining in. I noticed that my drink had a bug in it! The hostess replied, do you want another drink?" With only that as a response I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over and the first words out of her mouth were, "what's your problem?" I was overwhelmed as to the unprofessionalism. When I asked why I had a bug in my drink she said, "I guess a bug got in the ice." There was no concern, no real show of anything other than I was another bothersome customer. Only after I showed my frustration did the manager offer a free dessert. I refused. Several minutes later, my wife opened a cookie she bought. Remarkably, there was a large hair on the cookie. The manager asked my wife if she wanted another cookie. My wife said, "sure, but one without hair, please." We usually enjoy McAlester's, but, it will be a very long time before we return. read more

Slowest restaurant in Wentzville! Waited 45 minutes tonight for a sandwich and salad but it never showed up. The place was NOT busy and the orders that did come out were wrong. Staff said the the kitchen was struggling. At one point I saw 5 counter staff standing there and just starring into the kitchen. When I asked for a refund the manager acted put out and wasn't really sure how to do it. No apology at all. My suggestion is that they close for a week and do some in depth training!!! This is the first time I've been to a McAlister's Deli, and the food was good. A group from work went shortly after it opened, and I was surprised to find that there was seating available for 8 of us (may have just been luck, but I'll take it!). The food was tasty and appropriate temperatures (I got the Savannah chopped salad and Reuben sandwich). The salad was great- I was surprised that I actually got chicken on it, being the Choose 2. The Reuben wasn't all the flavor that I was hoping for, but it had a good amount of meat and sauerkraut on it. It was a bit pricey for lunch, but higher quality than you get in many places, and a HUGE selection. I'll definitely be going back, just not frequently. read more
