Mash potatoes were too starchy for me (tasted like left over baked potatoes). Jen got tenders. Dry but tasty. We come here once a year when these guys have their reunion in Peru. Be back next year.

It was far from the limited menu and "See here is our brewery equipment" place. Researching their website, we were convinced this was the place to be on our "chasin' racin'" weekend. My companion noticed that the clientele was quite diverse. I noted that also. We both agreed it was a sign of a thriving establishment. Autumn was our server and she was a lot of fun. Conversant, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive, she was just great. One of my sides was a Caesar Salad. It was copious to the point that I could not finish it when it was appropriately brought out ahead of time. As a diabetic, I am concerned about carbs, but the Alaskan Whitefish grabbed me . While my plate was messy, I peeled off the coating and enjoyed the nice tender fish inside. In Tennessee, corn pudding is different than what they brought me, but it was wonderful. Bread pudding of the day was S'mores. I had my fill, brought home the rest and my family loved it. Local history was abundant. The menu held an article on local history and the lobby had many historic photos of local interest. I took many photos of them for remembrance. Chances are I will never return to Kokomo. But if I do go back. This is where I will dine.

The decor of the restaurant is that of an old English/Irish pub, including a bar in the center. They have enough seating for 20-30 people, but their business is set for everyone to take the food togo. They hand you a paper menu, and tell you to use a kiosk, but then if you want to pay cash, you have to deal with the person behind the bar. I ordered the Sushi appetizer and a bowl. The appetizer was a fair value, but they don't have sushi ginger, instead they had ginger strips, bright red, that they had diced - I had the same ginger in the bowl, but they left that in strips. All of the food was delivered to my table on a tray, using to go containers that you find in the grocery stores - including a plastic fork and soy sauce packets. Was the meal fairly priced - yes Did this place feel welcoming - no I would not go planning to eat in the restaurant - but if I wanted takeout while in the area, maybe? I guess they are shooting for the takeout lunch crowd at the hospital/hospital support offices I have gotten to the point I don't trust yelp, too many compensated reviews, too many fake reviews, but all they care about is quantity of reviews - how sad

Liz was our server and she was very prompt and offered helpful insights about the menu. We started off with vegetarian mandu/dumplings. They arrived freshly fried and were delicious - the perfect crispy and with a delicious, smoky flavor. My boyfriend and I each ordered the japchae. This is one of my favorite Korean dishes so I was looking forward to trying it here but it was a bit disappointing for both of us. The server did provide the warning of the texture of glass noodles which can be quite chewy and that is why I like them. However, they were too sticky and stuck together in huge clumps. Rather than having veggies mixed in with the noodles, it was topped with them. It was also sweet, so I would recommend using the pickled banchan dishes to mitigate the sweetness. My boyfriend also thought his beef japchae was really sweet, too -- even the beef marinade. He wasn't the biggest fan. Neither of us would order that again (here) but we will probably come back to try other things. The dolsot bibimbop looks amazing! I also had the hibiscus passion fruit wine cocktail which I expected to be sweet but it wasn't really. It kind of just tasted like a simple red blend. It was okay. It has really intimate atmosphere and would be a great place for a romantic dinner

My wife and I went twice in the same week. The bibimbap, japchae, fried chicken, and dumplings were super flavorful. We're looking forward to going back this Saturday for brunch, which is highly recommended.
