Several options! I counted 27 ice cream flavors available, and several shake options too. The best part was that I was able to combine the flavors for a shake. I ordered a strawberry banana milk shake. It was delicious. There are only 2 tables inside to sit. read more

I'm really grateful for this option in Tipton. It's really nice to be able to stop by even in the winter-time and get a sweet treat. I think their ice cream offerings are a little on the stickier side (I like a creamy, rich ice cream) but the flavor variety is good for such a small shop and they have a variety of soft serve cones, dole whips, chipwiches, milkshakes etc, as long as a fair amount of fast food offerings. I really love their fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce but find the portion to be too small for the price. Service is a little slow especially on busy days and the parking/drive thru situation is not the most thought through or convenient, but I would still say it is worth the trouble. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday and the place was busy! They had plenty of workers to handle the steady stream coming into the restaurant and the drive thru. Employees were kind and quick to help. We just got ice cream and it did not disappoint. Such great chocolate and PB flavor! It was a great family place with lots of families gathering indoors and on the picnic tables. Cute decor too. read more

Our waitress was very friendly and speedy, which was very important because it was a hot day. Absolutely the sweetest the ice cream shop we found today! And the peach ice cream is so fresh it makes your mouth smile. There was seating to eat inside and outside and everything was so cute. When we are back in Tipton, we will come back to here again. Love the decor! Definitely a family place to visit! read more

My favorite ice cream shop. Always friendly service. Taco salad is a great choice when you need a light lunch. I stop here weekly for my chipwhiches (ice cream between two cookies). Love it as a snack and my office loves them too. If you like ice cream and are in town then stop here. Right across from the park to let the kids run off their energy. read more

I have been a life long customer of the South Pole. My childhood favorite is the Soft served chocolate dipped top Heaven!! Just like when I was a kid. I've had 2 this week!!. It has changed hands over the years, and gone through many physical upgrades from the original trailer. My exwife said it was the best chocolate shake she has ever had!! Love, love, love the South Pole!!!! read more

A few blocks south of downtown Tipton (near the park) is an independent ice cream shop. The shop has both indoor and outdoor dining (a pergola covered patio) available. Although the walk up window was closed during my visit, I was still able to order from the counter inside. They have a variety of "hard dipped ice cream" as well as more types of iced beverages/cones/sundaes than you would normally think of. The dining room clean and had a polar theme working. The staff was friendly and greeted me. I was a little confused because the ice cream barrels were not individually labeled at the counter. They do have a behind the counter menu which I missed seeing, but the server pointed out the flavors by arrangement order. Very helpful! I got a small and was very pleased with the size as the ice cream towered over the cone. It was also cold enough to not melt immediately either. The only negative was that the ice cream wasn't as creamy (probably a lower fat content) than my favorite places. But the flavor was good and I would gladly return if in the area. Note that they do have some basic food items like hot dogs, chicken tenders, and a tenderloin, but I didn't try any of those items. Review #2817 read more

A small town classic. Perfect for a Coney dog and a scoop of hard dip on a hot summer day. With the town park, basketball court, volleyball sand court, and even horseshoes right across the street it's the perfect spot to plan an afternoon. read more

Yes, this is a wonderful stop for a quick bite at the edge of town. This is a well maintained local gem. Great hotdogs. Excellent fries. Nacho chips with cheese dips. Large ice cold sodas. Clean restrooms. Indoor and outdoor dining. Quick service. Nice parking lot. A nice stop. Will be back if passing thru again. Icecream, soft serve and hand dipped, plus sundaes. read more

We happened to stumble on this as we got lost. This stop is off the main drag hidden behind the main stops in town. We frankly didn't know what to expect as we walked in, and am happy to report we were pleasantly surprised. They had a HUGE selection & variety of many different ice creams & treats. The inside of the stop was impressively clean. Well decorated & friendly atmosphere, the staff was friendly & attentive. Though I didn't have a chance to try the hot dogs or other hot food it looked really good. Next time I'm in town I will stop by again. read more

Have eaten here quite a few times. I would say it has a pretty large menu for how small of a place it is. Coney cheese dogs from here are always a good choice. I also enjoy the loaded sidewinders though I feel they're priced a bit high for what you get. Overall I think this is one of the better 'fast food' options around here. I do think some of the items are priced too high though. read more

Must stop in for a hometown treat pit-stop!! Flavored drinks are a must... always with a pretzel on the straw! not to mention good ice cream and treats, too!! This place started as a small trailer with buckets of ice cream at the ready every summer for kids coming from the park or pool. There would always be a long line of kids and occasional parents and always picnic tables full of stick handed and chocolate covered faces! mmmm-mmmm good! Since then it has changed ownership at least two times and has undergone complete rebuild and a few occasional changes... now offering a 'full' pit-stop/concession style menu, you can have lunch and ice cream, too!! Too miss this little hot spot, quick stop in Tipton would be a little bit of a shame! read more

Connie's are excellent and reasonably priced, they need a salad spinner I've had lettuce in my taco salad and on a sandwich both times lettuce was sopping wet. I've cream is good and staff is pleasant and friendly. Get a salad spinner. read more

The Alley is literally that: an alley next to the Subway & Pizza King that has multiple tables with bright red umbrellas for comfort. An arching metal gateway spans the entrance from Main Street. On the north wall, student artists (2018) contributed small murals that fill in where windows used to be found in the wall face. One of the pieces includes local muralist Tanner Fernung's character from the animated movie "Up!". On the south wall are larger murals. There are two historic composites of the downtown area done by a local photographer. There is also a pair of giant angel wings (again by Fernung) that are intended for "selfie" photos. However, Fernung is a big man (plays offensive lineman for Manchester University), so the wings and angelic crown are quite high and may require some trick photography to get the wings to line up with your body. The Alley adds a bright spot for locals and visitors to stop and enjoy the artwork and view of the courthouse. It also is a great way to support the local artistic talent in the community.
