This review is long overdue so, let's start off with the TL;DR version for MCAR PPF: the experience was great from the very beginning, starting with the initial interaction with Mayza, to Neto completing the full-frontal pre-cut PPF and inspection. Overall, a very pleasant experience that I would not mind repeating! Now, the long version: recently bought a brand new Mazda 3 and I wanted to keep the car for a long time. Heard a lot of rumblings about the paint being very thin and that PPF would be highly recommended in order to preserve it and prevent rock chips. Browsed around on Yelp to see if there were any local PPF shops to alleviate this concern. A few shops responded, but Mayza from MCAR was one of the first and most diligent around. Her patience and explanations helped ease my concerns, and there was absolutely no pressure. She quoted the job accordingly, which was quite fair, given what others seemed to be charging, and all the pieces starting falling into place. Next thing you know, I had an appointment to get the PPF installed on the weekend. Multiple texts were sent to confirm the appointment, along with reminders as the day came closer. Location was one of the key factors in choosing MCAR, as they are located very close to public transportation and in an area that's easily accessible - they're located behind the old SF Honda dealership. Showed up bright and early on a Saturday morning right when Neto and his team was opening up the shop, and was checked in within a few minutes. Neto did ask if I wanted anything additional done, but I told him that a full-frontal pre-cut PPF was all my budget allowed at the moment. No pressure on additional services and my car was taken in to be worked on after our initial conversation. The PPF installation was brilliant after I picked up my car, and it was completely transparent, virtually unnoticeable and clean. The job only took a day to complete as well since it was a pre-cut install. After the job was completed, Neto instructed no car washes for about 2 weeks, and to come back for a follow-up inspection. 2 weeks passed, and I had noticed that there was some peeling on one of the side mirrors. Brought the car back in for the inspection and explained the peeling on one side; Neto quickly brought the car in and reapplied new PPF within an hour. Professional and diligent all around. What's even more amazing is their work is backed by a 10-year warranty! Communication is always key and MCAR PPF definitely provided that. Neto and the team deserves all of the kudos for their work. All of the cars they work on are either upscale exotic cars, Teslas or luxury cars. My "casual" car was one of the few that wasn't incredibly expensive-looking, but there was no judgment. I came in to get my 2001 minivan tinted, and they already had the right cutouts in the system, which was surprising since it's an old car and not the most common. I dropped the car off, then came back to pick it up a couple of hours later and it looks amazing. I noticed one small bubble on one of the windows, and I came back the next week to get it fixed free of charge. I'll be back here to get the front windshield done, and when I get a new car I'll be back again. I also called around to quite a few shops and the prices here are by far the best. Great place to choose tints for your car. Had my MY tinted here for all windows, initially for the side windows and later on for the windshield tint. They're great at what they do, super fast and great pricing as well. Only cons at this place was that I noticed they don't use a rag over the interior while tinting the windows (what I'm assuming as there is a lot of water residue left on the inside of the car- pictures attached).
